1:17 oh cool, she's speaking catalán! I moved to Barcelona 2 years ago and I've been trying to learn it. I can understand it pretty well but it's hard to speak it. I grew up speaking Spanish tho so they can understand me if I reply in it. If you wanna learn a Catalan word for fun: at the end of the call she says "Te estimo" which is "te quiero" in Spanish which means "I love you." Actually, we don't really say "I love you". "Te quiero" technically means "I want you", but it means I love you. I've only heard "te amo" on occasion.
Hearing that I thought, oh- eso quiere dicer como "I hold you in high esteem" you know what I mean? Catalán is super interesting. I can't make out what languages go into it. Spanish, French and something more. Can't figure it out
