How to Make Fingerprint door Lock at Home
From this tutorial, you can make awesome fingerprint sensored locking system for your Door.
You need Adafruit Fingerprint Sensor, solenoid 12-volt lock, Arduino Uno r3, and batteries.
Materials :

  • Admin,please answer me. I got project in my school and i use your nice idea. And i bought the fingerprint sensor but , when i got the pin jumper to arduino uno R3, the fingerprint do not blink. that was current that shock and blink for a while. that just blue blinking for second and dark. What to do? Please admin,or i will get F gred for my project.

    • Adding some battery contacts to the front side should do it. If the battery even runs out you can power it using the front contacts.

  • Wait. It operates only as long as the finger is on scanner. As soon as you take your finger away, it shuts. Means no time for conveyance. That's undesirable.

  • maybe you could design a version which sits over an existing deadbolt? that way when your finger print is entered it toggles the dead bolt since it’ll be more secure
