I know some of you are still rightfully pissed, and want more appologies from BSG. But i Highly doubt anything else will happen, and in my opinion that post will be the end of the whole drama. just sharing my thoughts

This still doesn't fix the Pay-To-Win situation. The additional gear that gives a huge advantage in the game, especially in early wipe. The additional flea market slots. The avengers call. The reduced scav aggro. The gamma case. As a standard edition user, this is what sucks the most in my eyes. I don't want to be at a huge disadvantage compared to everyone else. Edit: typo.

The most important thing about modding in pve is that the SPT developers don’t get sued and somehow start working with them or something like that. The guys made a really cool thing that BSG took over (albeit very crookedly). Guys, let's keep our finger on the pulse, and if something happens, we will defend the SPT developers (if necessary).

You should of complained about EoD 7 years ago then instead of buying it like everybody else. 95% of your deaths for 7 years would of been from EoD accounts it's like shroud said way back when, you buy the standard edition first then if you really really like the game you get the EoD edition because 150 bucks is nothing if you enjoy the game. Given how busy the SPT site has been since Unheard was announced, I'm not surprised about the PVE and modded comments. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. That said, there's no way I will be able to convince friends who don't already have EOD to spend 200 Euros or whatever to buy Unheard. I wonder if they will release a PVE only version for people who only want to do that.

I am surprised so many people are ignoring they fact BSG just stealthy added a new edition to the game with that message. The people who paid the original price for the unheard edition get extra stuff, that even people who upgraded with the reduced price wont get even though they have the same edition

The PVE Mode is under Expansions and can be bought for 10$ before Tax for all versions under EOD.
The more I hear about their low server structure for the co-op the more I theorize about the Unheard release. My own new thought in the back of my mind is that they made it exclusive to the $250 and didn't immediately give EoD it is cause they didn't want to deal with the sudden surge of players trying to use the few servers by pricing it high to ward off most people. I'm not saying it was the right thing or a better option, but it might have been them trying to prevent a different problem in the wrong way.

Glad to see they will add MOD support, with most popular games its what keeps them alive, or atleast builds stronger communities. Games like Gmod, Rust, GTA, Fortnite and many others have greatly benifited from giving power to the community.

I'm glad I had my EoD package upgraded, but I am not terribly happy that the PvE Campaign is not being released (even as DLC) for the lower packages. It still requires these players to have to fork out for the Unheard edition. It is almost certain they will release it as a paid download, but not saying as such simply pressures players to think they need to pay the top price billing.
There was zero acknowledgement of any wrongdoing from BSG. How could they not forsee this? They know what they promised EOD supporters, & EOD supporters have been screwed with far too much over this kind of nonsense. This same exact issue happened when arena came out, and with zero acknowledgement or apology for any wrongdoing, you can bet your tail this will happen again.😢

Players didnt win anything. What happened is the dev just let everyone what he actually thinks of the players. If you still support the game after all this. Then you will have ZERO back up when it happens again. The only reason they backed down was because of pressure from outside.

It doesnt really give you much benefit now. New items will be quest locked for all editions, PVE is given to EOD for free, or you can purchase it separately. Dont see a reason to buy the new edition now tbf , especially for that price

@@grafiiti678 because I love the game and when I bought it in 2016 I knew that there would be issues and that things would have to change. Also the eod was eventually going to be a problem since it was a golden ticket to never having to pay for anything again. Coupled with the fact that it should have been removed long long long time ago, before 95% of the player base got EOD. It became unrealistic, getting it to the point we are at right now. does it suck… absolutely, but I love the game too much to just give up on it. All we can do is hope that they can learn from this it. People make mistakes all the time

Just checked my EOD Account and it says i have brought the CO-OP mode, but when i log in it still says i have to upgrade to the unheard addition. so it looks like us EOD owners do now have it we just need them to let us in

They don’t have the server capacity because so many of us bought EOD with the intention of them improving said servers.

@@mushroomsmoothie Lots of games have local hosting possibilities, so the players host their own servers on their PCs. BSG don't need to run offline mode on their own servers.
If your not playing on dedicated servers then it's up to your computer to run and host the game session. This can come with many issues like lag and crashes, especially with co-op. Crash on a dedicated server, no big deal, just rejoin. Crash on your server that requires the game to stay open, we'll now all your, and ur buddies stuff is gone. Can't rejoin because the server closed with the game. Unless they add a save game option you hit mid way through raid 😭
The modder may have done it but they don't want to allocate resources to do it in house, when they can just say it's "technically hard" and sell a $250 edition instead. Technically hard, is what you say when you're pushing rope.

eod still got screwed, unique stuff are got unique anymore, they still didn't get punished or change stuff back on their website, and unheard owner got screwed the same way.
How will the mod support even work? Am i supposed to upload my mod-selection to the PvE server im connecting to? Mods work when you play locally on your machine, but to make mods work in online games then you have to install them server-side. How?
Probably in a similar way how it's done in games like Arma. You'll probably have a dedicated server with your files. Or it's gonna be p2p, which also works.
Client-side mods, both players download the same mods, checksum verification, peer-2-peer. That's how multiplayer games like Ready Or Not and Project Zomboid get around the issue

Guys you're forgetting that PvE content still happens on BSG's servers. They're stupid if they allow unsigned, 3rd-party software to be uploaded to their server infrastructure. This would be EZPZ if we ran it locally, or could spin up our own servers, but the only game-space we have is on official BSG servers.
I dont even play EOD but i always stay up to date with the game, im glad the community spoke up with distaste for how BSG handled this although this so called apology clearly aint hittin 💀

I bought unheard edition, don't really want a refund or care about the "lost money", I put about 5k hours in and saw the game as a well spent 250 dollar game. Instead of getting another game key I'd rather get some type of credit for my account for the amount that edition is worth so I xan get future things on the website like the apparel, stash slots, etc. But regardless of all that I just want EFT to succeed to I'm just glad that PVE isn't being gatekept anymore.

It should be the end of the drama. I bought the upgrade when it was discounted 50% and can firmly say the PvE mode was not worth all the drama. Playing it can be fun, but it has no juice, I feel nothing when playing. No sense of fear, no need to cut bait and just exit if I have something important I need to get out. I do not see anyone playing through the PvE more than once. Why would you need to Scav in this mode? I need content creators like you to go through this mode with a fine tooth comb to point out deficiencies and praise the good stuff. Because there needs to be improvements on the PvE portion of the game. I understand that really the discounted upgrade mode now only gives me early access to it over the EOD buyers and I am perfectly fine w/ that as I think the price is pretty close to right for all the extra stuff you will get from this version. Scav Box, Gun Case, etc etd.
