Gun Sounds From 100m | Escape From Tarkov Guide | Patch 0.14.5
Had this idea for awhile because I'm always confused about what guns I'm hearing being shot. I was surprised to learn only 1 other video like this exists (that I can find) but he didn't include every gun so I did (up to the current patch of recording this video). also I know some guns like the mp-18 isn't technically a shotgun. I'm just going off what the game categorized the guns as
I didn't include some guns like the Kedr-b, PB pistol, AS Val, or the VSS cuz I wanted this to be unsuppressed gun sounds. if this gains enough attention I might do a bigger video with everything from up close to suppressed. I probably wont update with guns released later unless this REALLY blows up. kind a just made it so I can look back and learn the sounds or figure out what someone is shooting
Update: I have a video posted about unsuppressed and suppressed pistols shooting from ranges . but due to the recent controversy the video basically got no tractions compared to this one. i am still willing to finish all guns but idk about now since 90% of the community doesn't care about the game anymore. so for the time being I'm going to work on better non tarkov content. so now it might be a bit longer until i post again because i was planning to work on other videos while recording and editing the rest of the gun videos. here's the link to the pistol video kzhead.info/sun/ddOIec2GgKCKlX0/bejne.html i might delete later and try to post again later but idk. finishing this project kind of died when unheard dropped and I'm upset over that. thank you to all who subbed and liked this video. not much point, suppressed shots are basically inaudible at 100 meters and beyond

If they shoot the same ammo, they generally sound pretty identical

@@zukertsgaming8091 idk abt u they sound pretty distinct to me, not only in the audio but the echo is much more on the svd which makes sense

Its worth doing another video, this time with headesets on to see the difference, because gunshots sound closer than they actually are when you have a headset
maybe ill look into headset sound if/when i record a follow up. but each headset has different levels of audio and sound different. so that would possibly be a entire video in itself.

Man one of the most usefull video's for tarkov. I was also thinking to make video project like this but i dont have EOD edition. I have some other idea's like all weapons but you are outside but the shooter is inside a building like dorms , resort , reserver buildings and also another idea if you are inside a building and the shooter is inside to like interchange . Third idea is if you are inside a building and the shooter is outside
yeah I was considering doing all types of sounds. indoors, indoors suppressed, nearby suppressed, etc. but didn't want to go way overboard yet. wanted to just upload this and see how it did.

Fun fact you can just unpack the game files with unity asset unpacker and listen to them. Theyre all labeled by name and distance. You dont need to do this

some suppressors make guns quieter than other suppressors do. unless they did every gun with every possible suppressor, it wouldn't be very reliable
All you would be hearing is the ambient noise and maybe bullet impacts because apparently opening a soda can is louder than a gunshot.
@@NewestHampshire They don't, suppressors are extremely half assed and subsonics STILL don't make a lick of difference.
@@ihatetrainyards4859 when inspecting suppressors, theres a value called "loudness." and I can easily tell that there is in fact a difference between suppressors. for example, try the WAVE QD and the Monster-Mini suppressors side by side.

No more wonder why i can't know which weapon is fired, some have the same sound as sniper, dvl have a sound of a bad caliber, bro nothing help here, shotgun make same as some poor caliber too, can't reconize properly if its a sniper, a carbin, or a shotgun oO, rsass = svds for an exemple... Lol, svt -40 too close of a 9mm... sks = mp133.... well.. surprised that i can't guess after this video some comon scav weapon thx for your hard work
Nice video. Have the audio levels been normalized at all? The AXMC sounds kinda quiet relative to some of the other guns. Also, were you wearing a headset, if so, which one?
No headphones and I didn’t mess with audio or anything. My friend and I stood in the same spot for all guns. Some are just weirdly quiet

the ppsh fire rate was so high the sounds just lagged out lol

so the unsupressed DVL (if anyone every used that) has the same noise as the hunter

all nades sound the same, aside from the 2 impact nades that are higher pitch. the nade launchers are lower pitch and have less reverb
It's only me, or, outside sniper rifles, bigger calibers like various 7.62 do not sound that much louder than pistols?
If I'm not mistaken pstols are generally louder. Barrel length affects the sound. Now in the game if that is intentional or not is another story

Important question: Was your character wearing any kind of headset? From what I've experienced from firing an M700, gunfire tends to sound louder and more all-consuming if you don't have a headset in.

@@NewestHampshirenah, Gigabeef made a video showing there’s no difference in sound levels between suppressors.
