    • To be fair, every time a super hero saved a falling person by catching them mid air by themselves or with a web, that person would likely have died irrespective of what the superhero did. Think Superman saving Lois Lane anytime she is thrown off a building or Spider-Man saving Mary Jane or some random people. The only time they did it realistically is when Gwen died in TASM2.

  • For those who don't know the context, Diana used a magical artifact that grants wishes. She wished to bring back Steve, which is why Steve was brought back in this movie. Unfortunately, the artifact will take away something very precious in exchange for your wish. It is slowly but surely taking away Diana's godhood -- her powers, explaining why she's significantly weakened. Maxwell Lord (played by Pedro Pascal) wished himself to become the "wish-granting stone", so he can grant wishes to anyone. This is the reason Diana is after him.

Instead, it looks cheap, badly executed and puerile when it could have looked far more sophisticated and then had a much wider appeal to intelligent viewers. This movie is another example of why D. • I'm not a visual effects expert but c'mon, can't they just add a fan to hit her face and hair strong enough to simulate air resistance while running a such a high speed.... And also add some ''cutting'' wind sound too, jeezz... what a poor production. The whole running takes are so poorly done. And the ''lazo bullet grab'' was so cheesy. So when she is struck by bullets later it tells me that she is either not paying attention to these individual bullets like she was earlier, or that they just didn't care to think about the implications of having such a scene. Also that last bit was a bit funny, she catches the kids at this incredible speed meanwhile it looks like she picked them up gracefully with one hand somehow. On top of that instead of screaming and wondering what's going on the kid is just holding on to her with her eyes closed Lol it's like they don't even try anymore

In the first movie, she's blocking a legion of bullets being shot at her by an entire army of Nazi's. Tosses a tank and has no problem-fighting in a World War. So even at half power, she's more than enough to take out some normal humans driving down the road at high speed. It just irked me that they totally forgot about all that combat experience she gained from training plus the huge power boost she got at the end of the first movie where she jumps into the sky across an entire city... No worries though, I still liked the movie I just didn't like this _depowering_ thing they did to her. They just should've given her proper henchmen that are a little juiced on Hercules tonics or something like that to tip the scales instead of just rando's giving her so much trouble.

    • Haven't you watched the whole movie? The wish she wanted from the magical stone which was reviving Steve Trevor came at the cost of her powers including her god-tier superhuman strength, similar to how Thor got depowered in his first movie after being banished to Earth and stripped of his powers by Odin. Like the latter, Wonder Woman still retained her entire physical composition like far denser and heavier mass than a regular human which still keeps her very physically strong to at least Captain America's level, explaining how Thor easily overpowered regular humans at the hospital and Wonder Woman to easily push aside trucks with a great deal of effort while being stripped of their powers. On that note, Wonder Woman still had practically superhuman strength from her raw physical composition left over but not god-like proportions that she posseses under normal conditions.
