  • Been coming back to his art everyday since he defeated the culture vulture. I'm glad I've been a fan since day one, and have been able to witness all of this greatness. I grew up on 127th Street off of El Segundo and Wilmington. Compton is a small city in Los Angeles county but it has produced a lot of greats and im so proud of them all. All hail the KING.

    • @@katielouieschwartz The energy was great throughout the entire show! The choreography, staging, effects, and lighting were all phenomenal and mind blowing. I think like my most memorable moment was when he transitioned from Alright to Mirror and the stage started to rise as he was rapping. Being able to actually see how he preforms and excuses some songs really adds to the story of the new album. I’m going to be seeing him again twice this year at festivals and I highly recommend going to see him at least once if you can! you will not regret it i promise you!

  • Kendrick is a world-class artist with razor-sharp precision in his performances. He simply doesn't mess around. I recently saw him on tour and we as an audience got one single smile (worth the wait) from him at the very end of the show. He knows just how important his message is.

    • sort of.. the vocal track we're actually hearing is a playback of a recorded take from before the show went to air. still impressive nonetheless, but there are several parts where it is blatantly obvious that he is lip syncing to a pre-recorded track. and please understand that I say this with absolutely zero disrespect, I still find it to be super impressive because the vocal track is in fact a live recording. that is definitely not the studio vocal track. In the performance, Kendrick even seems to acknowledge it at about 3:07 when he flashes the message on the wall that says "YEA WE STILL PLAYING INDUSTRY POLITICS".

  • Kendrick is one of the best hip hop live performers I’ve ever seen because not only does he say every word of his songs. But his performances are choreographed and have an artistic vision. Makes him stand out so much from a lot of rap artists who just hold the mic and shout (some of) their lyrics.

  • One thing about Kendrick's performances...I went to the steppers tour, one song that really stood out to me from that show in particular was Money Trees--he did not rap the song, he sang it. And almost every song he performed, he gave the audience like a reinvented version of the song live.

  • Absolutely outstanding - lyrics, performance, and lighting/special effects. And all of that in a cubicle with a standing fan - live. The song is subtle, and the lyrics are far-reaching and profound - the shadow that moves while he is standing still, foreshadowing the layered lyrics that follow. Excellent in every way. Respect. I'm a 72-year-old white man, but I will always recognize and appreciate true art, in whatever form it presents itself. This was minimalistic and masterful - he does much more with less.
