I liked how The Hulk looked in this scene because he still has David's cowboy vest on. Never say the big green guy didn't have a fashion sense. He decided to leave on that shirt and vest on rather than throw it off when he burst in the room.

I know that in many of the episodes early in the series they had the Hulk leave on the destroyed top. Later on in the series, they usually had the Hulk throw off his destroyed top so Lou could fully show off his physique.
@@glennszydlowski5987 so, I'm not the only Hulk fan to notice this. I think it was done because then they didn't have to worry about painting Lou's back green. I also remember reading an interview with Lou in magazine from the time where he said he wanted to have the pantlegs split down the sides. You see that later in the series.
Actually, the show’s creator Kenneth Johnson, was a big fan of having the Hulk continue to wear the tattered and shredded shirts and jackets previously worn by David before his transformation into the Hulk. That’s why in the early episodes and especially in the first season you would see the Hulk keep David’s torn Clothing on. As the show progressed, some of the producers, writers, and directors wanted to have the Hulk look closer to his comic book counterpart by running around without a shirt on. In the later seasons, if the Hulk kept David’s shirt or jacket on, then you can bet that episode was directed by Kenneth Johnson.

Anybody notice that he always transforms AFTER they throw him into another room so that nobody can SEE him transform? Pretty damned lucky and convenient that it happens like that EVERY TIME.

Yeah nobody ever sees him change...and funny how everything grows on David except his waist...in reality the pants would have snapped at the waist also as his other cloths parts split...guess they couldn't have nudity back then
@@richardlawson6787 If he KNOWS that he sometimes undergoes that transformation maybe he should PREPARE IN ADVANCE by wearing baggier clothes or materials that stretch like spandex? Lou Ferrigno was so much bigger than Bill Bixby that I suspect they had to put on a larger version of whatever pants Bill had worn with the legs torn of course. Fun fact: In one of the TV movies, I think it was Death of the Incredible Hulk Bill Bixby grew a beard but the Hulk was clean shaven, major continuity error. Imagine how cool it would have been if there had been ATTENTION TO DETAIL with either Lou Ferrigno growing a similar beard or the makeup artists putting a fake beard on him. Dyed green either way.

Still my favourite American TV series. It aged like fine wine. Better than nowadays CGI Hulk. I just find that one annoying and cringey. Bill and Lou will never be topped that's for sure.

I remember this show when it first aired I was a little kid I am grown now and I still love it lou ferrigno is still the best hulk especially when it comes to the transmission and the clothes ripping of the way they show the clothes ripping off in the movies dosen't look half as realistic as it does in the TV show
David comes over just trying to talk sense into the guys for fighting, says he isn't looking for any trouble and gets assaulted and tossed through the door. As a kid, David was my hero, I hated when he got treated this way.
His grip strength is incredible to crush one of those billiards balls.

Yeah, this was the last episode for season 1. The show started out as a midseason replacement. So this would be episode 12, counting the two pilot movies. 🙂🙂
These bar fighters have no idea how to smash. Enter the Hulk. Now there's a guy who can smash.
Why on earth would David Banner take a gig as a bar tender, knowing a bar room brawl could happen at any moment... You'd think he'd lay low somewhere, and try to avoid attention... Take a job as a gardener or pool cleaner, something a little more serene and low key.

Something that is very very rare is for a show to be GOOD, as in "regular good" and yet SO BAD THAT IT IS GOOD at the exact same time.... Walker Texas Ranger is also ACTUALLY GOOD and "so bad its good" at the same time.
See saying....the show was beyond corney...cheaply produced...bad acting...silly plots....but so terrible it was fantastic!!
@@richardlawson6787 As a small child (I was born in 1972 I used to be FRIGHTENED by Ferrigno growling as he flexed his muscles but now I find it funny and laugh a little.

I always wished that someone would be able to produce a "savage" she hulk type set of videos staring one of the modern huge muscular female bodybuilders. It would be very sexy to see a huge muscular female bodybuilder going on a rampage and performing many of the feats of strength that the Hulk performed in the series. Unfortunately, I know that muscular women are a niche interest so it will be hard to find someone with the will and the budget to create such videos.

I would be thinking of a woman like Nataliya Kuznetsova, who is 5'8" 220+ muscular lbs. with close to 20" biceps. Her real life strength and muscularity are greater than almost all women and the majority of men as well.
The challenge is finding a woman who has the height, build, and is reasonably attractive.

maybe they recorded from the right slightly, so that it only showed the hulk and the table being thrown. Thats the only way I can tell that they did it.
It probably was not an actual mirror. They had a frame on the wall with all the characters in the room beyond it. There was no mirror and so no reflection of a camera.

This was quite a funny Hulk out, the way they leaned David into the camera the first time, his face on the way up and then his face on the eye change for the final heave-ho 😆 Poor David looked so lightweight and easy to rough up in this series, it wasn't until the ending trilogy of films they produced, did David start to look a little bit more filled out.
