Some notes about this mission and this video, this comment will be very long: - At some point between MW19 and MW22, the ai systems very clearly were altered or used differently, and have uh - some quirks. There are many moments in which the ai has far more limited scripting than the previous game, and relies on very janky combat anims built on top of ai behaviors, I don't need to explain to you why mo-cap looks better than the ai doing similar actions on its own. - The AI also has a very rigid combat behavior in which they shoot in perfectly synchronized bursts, rather than the more realistic and sporadic firing behaviors of the previous MW. This makes filming and editing the ai in combat fairly mundane and hard to edit. - To get the shot of Ghost looking at the burning chopper while keeping him out of focus, you can ADS at the target you're looking at, and it will put both your gun and other closer objects out of focus in favor of what you're aiming at, the only downside is that I had to crop in a lot in order to get the shot to work. - The headcam footage was done by using a high FOV in-game and cropping in, adding RGU Camera Shake, and then manually cropping in accordance with my weapon position. If I look down, and crop the footage down, it looks like my weapon is in a lower-ready position, then when I look up, I reposition the crop in order to make it seem like my weapon is being raised. The effect has a huge downside in that the skewed angles at the edge of the frame on a wide FOV have to be countered using a lens distortion corrector in Adobe premiere, but it's - manageable enough I guess. - You can't ADS while doing headcam footage because it narrows in the FOV, so everything you see here is me hip-firing and as a result I end up mag-dumping constantly. - I replayed the bit where the dude emerges out of the trap door maybe 20 or so times, and every time, if I let him play out his animation in full, it was unavoidable that his shots would hit me, and cover my screen in blood, ruining the shot. The shot you see here is my only solution to that sequence, which took maybe 4 or 5 attempts. - If you go and play the game, and go to the second floor of the first building, one of your allies will appear at the end of the hall (As seen in this very video). This is in spite of the fact that - there isn't no way up to where that guy is standing except by going inside the building, and taking the stairs up to that spot (The route can be seen via Soap's headcam when he goes down the stairs). This means this dude just straight up teleported inside the building. - Given I had to replay this mission 100 times over, I learned some filmmaking speedrunning strats. One of which being, you can kill the shooter in the second building at the very beginning of the level by running way off to the left after the chopper crashes, and sniping the guy as he's on the balcony. Hope you enjoyed. Have a good one, fellas.
I had a feeling watching it you weren't ADS'ing with your ingame character. It still pulled off the bodycam/helmetcam effect very well and convincingly! I hate GTA V because it's tainted all other games for me with it's in game editor. Machinima work would be so much more prevalent I feel on KZhead if the tools were more available in an easier way. Glad you found a way around it, the dedication shows, loved this, despite not touching a Call of Duty campaign in nearly a decade, I enjoyed every second!
how was the one where the civilian attempts to shoot the player [that was so sad] done?
More scp!!!
@@niedawidv6663 dawg he can do what he wants you don't have the right to demand 'more scp'
Did you have any graphical issues? My game is being very weird.
This man is absolutely godlike. I want to watch his movies forever, someone give this man a damn company and budget.
I mean he practically has that with the SCP short films ha.
Frfr
Yep, me too
@@spartanater584 except that this time he didn't
Imagine hollywood budget without the hollywood bullshit. Need another realist scene like HEAT or Den of Thieves first shoot out scene.
That sequence at 3:08 was my favorite. Getting shot triggers the instincts of even the best. That guy clambering to get out of the way felt too real.
Funny the Raider says the plate caught the bullet when we clearly see blood spray from his neck. Could have been more haunting if when Soap come back from killing the RPG guy the Marine bled out, and in his dying moment alerted Soap to the last hostiles.
Beautifully done.

Always great cinematography, the shots and editing always on point
So happy I’m part of the Patreon and kickstarter, looking forward to even more of your directorial masterpieces.
Damn... not even a day ago i watched your scp movies... and not even 3 hours ago i've watched your mw clean house cinematic. Now you upload this masterpiece. Getting addicted to this!
Loving how this all looks, especially how 0:21 and framed like the crash in the reveal trailer
Before even reading the description the Hundreds-thousands of hours my ears picked up the BF4 sounds immediately. I love how such an "old" games audio was so good and crisp that it is still being used in editting now.
I think 3:27 the explosion sound is from BF4 right along with the comm beeps? (It's been a while since I played BF so I barely remember the sfx)
I really love how the night vision goggles reflect light into the operator's eyes
I love that your animations aren't limited to one engine. Even if the visual quality fluctuates, the amount of effort in every one is so obvious! I've watched your scp series animated within the GTA engine, your live action stuff and now this, and the quality you put forward is never lacking!
At 4:34 the use of the screen overlay, it makes it almost lifelike. Beautiful
I just finished rewatching for probably the 10th time your interview/podcast with Chris Being and was wondering when a short form of content on another video game would be uploaded. Bravo. Excellent work.
This's insanely good, i love it, the dedication and hard work is evident. 2:54 this scene from Ghost is amazing.
Beautiful job my favorite mission
The effort you put in to make this video is utterly insane and shows your dedication as a filmmaker. Well done!
I'd love to see one for Dark Water, great job on this one gave me vibes to your edit of Clean House!
Bro that editing/directing is amazing i feel trapped and in the rush, fantastic job
the video I've been waiting for the most since the game was released, really amazing
My God this is so beautiful and insanely well done! Wish I had known of your work before.
So cool. Great work as always wish more people see your work.
I hope one day they would just make movies off their campaign so everyone can enjoy them and not just people who play videogames. real gritty I love it
This was great, any more of these kind of cinematic videos in the future planned?
Really depends on what happens to Stephen and I after Shadow of the Zone drops. If we get zero career traction whatsoever after that then you'll have me around for a few more years.
@@EvanRoyalty here’s hoping you have traction man
@@EvanRoyalty I think we'd all love to see you stick around doing this type of stuff, but damn go follow your dreams and don't let a bunch of internet randos hold you down. Fucking excellent work as always!
@@EvanRoyalty Dude, I wish you all the best for your career, but it would be a sad day when you stop doing stuff for KZhead, not gonna lie. I hope you get the budget you deserve, but I also hope you can make more (live action) indie stuff.
@@EvanRoyalty On the one hand we'd lose the talent, on the other hand... both of you, go do what you were born to do and let us know when you're involved in something, because it's going to be epic.
It's the most beautiful thing I've seen in editing, more videos like this please!!!!
Wow! This is so impressive! Your work never ceases to amaze me!
Honestly if you travel back to 2009 and let people see this video, no one would believe you when you say it's a game, people would be mistaking this for a war movie or actual combat footage. The graphics even tho not as stunning like MW19 (cuz it was the first one, first one always leaves a mark) but damn I can't understand how and why does this have to look soooo realistic.
I love how you made it look like helmet cam footage, just awesome
Thank you for putting so much premium effort in your projects. I remember having to pay $30 on tickets to see something like this back in the day, and these were full on studios. It’s awesome seeing KZheadrs make stuff better than some movies
For a community made video, it is really really good. If you were to compete with other productions, you deserve to win. It's sooooooo goooood
Always glad to see you upload. I loved the happy bouncing apc at the end!
This is fantastic editing.
Absolutely phenomenal.
Loved seeing this rn as I'm working on a 1:1 cosplay of Ghost at the moment. God is it expensive 💀
Watching this on a widescreen monitor is just eye-candy. Kudos!
Excellent work as always, Evan! Can't wait to see SotZ and whatever else you do!
What a freaking amazing cinematic for an amazing mission
god the scene right before Kilo-1 rains hellfire was orgasmic, masterfully done
So this is not an official cinematic? Can't believe it! This is a masterpiece!!! I hope you never stop creating💖
Never been this early to an Evan Royalty video before. Really good stuff as always!

Absolute madman. your content never ceases to amaze us! To be honest, was wondering when you'd make a cinematic for this game - it was only a matter of time! Thank you for sharing your method in the pinned comment!

This video shows artistic maturity. You have clearly mastered your craft. I can only imagine what's to come. ❤

Amazing work... I'm now a new fan. Thanks for sharing your talents with us
stunning as always
Glad to see you getting back into the mix of things since the upset with SCP. It's good to know you don't really need that genre to help you out though, you really got it on lock man! Can't wait to see more
Master piece, this is why i love this Channel
Camera movements and framing are insaneeeee great job
This is absolutely amazing, I'm in love from first seconds
I love the way you mixed in game and irl footage at least I think that’s what it is
God DAMN this is amazing!

That Helo came in like the Angel of War.
This is greatly done wonderfully done I love it
Wow this is amazing. Feels so realistic and gritty.
Looks stunning🔥
That was so cool!!! Nice job.
I love that you still make content like this while working on big projects like SCP and STALKER
The first minute made me forget this was taken from a game. Absolute masterful work, ER.
i like how he makes the fps scenes loot like helmet cam footage rly dope
Incredible. I can't imagine the amount of time and effort put into this.

Amazing! Cant wait for the Stalker one!
I can't wrap my head around how good this is. Wow.
Im addicted to this bro
Very well done, I can't wait for your Stalker film mate.
Does anybody wish the multi-player was like this instead of anime skins and operators. That's what I want from cod. Realism and tactical gameplay.
Amazing as always!
Straight heat my guy, Shadow of The Zone in the bag.
Ayo... This was SICK!
Stunning
Well done, as always
I LOVE THIS

Increíble !!! A por más !!
This was absolutely amazing, we’ll done 👏👏👏
This man makes better movies with a lower budget then the average military movies (cough cough… swat… cough cough)
Wow, MW2 is beautiful, extremely well detailed, and the fluidity of the environment and characters' movements is almost lifelike. Combine that with Evan's amazing skills and his touch that makes anything goosebump worthy, and you've got one hell of a cinematic experience.
So F-ing sick, you really make some of the coolest content on here 🔥🔥

Waking up to Evan uploading something is like waking up to 72 women in heaven. Amazing job, as always.
HOLLY F@#$K! That was fucking awesome, nice work on this horrific mission!🤘
This is awesome, just as good as your Clean House cinematic.
Top half of the screen is always so magnificent
still not gonna play this game but damn, that was some top-tier editing.
