These need the same sound quality as the standard JOCKO podcasts.
Agreed, these podcasts are so important. It is very unusual for something like this to be released with this audio quality. I hope this is improved, this is sub-par for this channel.
Agree 100%
Agreed, very hard to listen to. Especially for someone like me, who doesn’t have the best hearing.
😢😢😢🎻
One of them is on the right channel the other on the left channel and they are at different levels. The editor of the clip messed up. Hope they reupload it.
From one Vietnam vet to all who listened, another great account of some very honorable men.
When i seen the thumbnail, I was like wow Gary Busey was in SOG 😂
John you and Doug did things that are almost unbelievable to civilians like me. I have the highest regard for you both and just wanted to say thanks so much for sharing your stories. I knew nothing about SOG until I came across your interviews. This is history that should be told. I’m so glad men like you both have been acknowledged. I’m a huge fan!
Some crazy badass dudes, huh?
Thanks for these precious SOGCASTs. There absolutely PRICELESS. We appreciate everything TILT and DOUG. God Bless Jocko
I listened 180 and 181 about 100 times. When the VC touched Tilt’s boot. Amazing and thank you for all your scarifies.
Great interview of yet another one of a kind SOG Veteran. Semper Fidelis 🇺🇸
I’ve been waiting for this!! John Stryker Meyer is an absolute legend.
Aloha to you two guys, my Dad (ww2 Vet) did two tours in Vietnam with SOG as a civilian attached to 26th Air Division, stationed in Saigon and Ben Hua, he was in Saigon during the Tet offensive. My Dad the spook:) SOG MACV 100% casualty rate!!! wounded or dead,, no wonder he couldn't relate to my HS problems. I didn't find this out until 30 yrs after left the planet. I was at home, a HS kid growing pimples. I miss my Dad, he was so strangely loveable.
A great interview. I loved this account. What a humble hero and leader.
Audio levels are way off. However I waited a couple months for this so that wasn't going to stop me from listening. AMAZING. Keep this podcast going please. Thank you guys for what you've done!
Thanks for doing these interviews John. My hats off to you and all the SOG vets.
Third time listening to the whole series. I can’t get enough. Thank you for your service gentleman from Australia.
John and Doug and F*cken warriors. From a 23 year old civilian, thanks for your service and sharing your experiences (they've helped me understand true sacrifice and overcome physical and mental obstacles).
Great interview! Thanks for all you did Doug. Nice to hear from a fellow Case Western law school graduate.
Underrated episode right here, what a great guest he seemed like a podcast veteran lol
Stud🇺🇸🤙🏼It’s cool to hear you guys mention Rick Estes, he was my senior Comms when I was a pup. We all looked up to him and your generation, he shared many lessons learned and humble AF.
A+!!! Always a treat! Thanks, guys!!
We called those glasses BCG’s!🤣 Once again Tilt Thanks for everything you do.
We need a vietnam era seal podcast like this
All of these guys have something in common…they all are great interviews! It’s amazing what these guys did and very few people know about it. So glad I came across these podcasts.
Always check levels before starting the podcast. After the levels check and then the guest slumps back in the chair you have to move the mic.
Keep it up boys...as always....thanks for your service🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Great guests and content! Please address the sound levels.
Great guest !
I know it’s called SOG cast but please do some interviews with Vietnam LRPs, LRRPs Rangers. They don’t seem to have much representation in modern media.
I love John as a interviewer! I would love to see the scope expanded. John should interview Recon Marines, SEALs, LRRPs, A team SF, etc! I just read a story about a Recon Marine Lance Cpl Hughes who had the very dangerous job as a diver looking for VC tunnel entrances and killing an enemy diver with his Kabar! Wheh! He passed in 1990. RIP. I love our Vietnam vets! Thank you! I am a retired 17 year Firefighter. God bless!🇺🇸🫡
That's so cool you mention the China Lake pump-action grenade launcher
Great interview. Love the details Mr. Godshall remembers. I admit my hearing is shot, but this was hard to hear.
SOGCAST IS THE BEST!!!
I love SOGcasts!!!
These are the best
Mr John striker Meyer can you please talk about tiger force and the war crimes please? I know of good soldiers who tried to stop their murderous unit and ended up being killed themselves! Thank you for everything you bring to the table
It has been mentioned on many podcast about pictures. It would be nice to see the pics when mentioned during the show. Just a thought..
Agreed. Love this podcast but audio issues drive me crazy
These guys are great ! Love that Tilt has his own show
thank you you for your service sir ! you need a sound guy! i hate that some of that great gentleman's story wont be heard .
BTW, those GI issue glasses were called BCGs birth control glasses. Scouts out.
Amazing experiences from another living legend. Thank you for another invaluable SOGcast experience, Tilt. Lovin' it
Oh man, another MASTERPIECE
Stryker rocks. Trenton’s own. Props to Godshall
Man I wanna listen so bad but the audio is so low and panning between 2 speakers, I cant do it please fix the audio
“Mic check, check, check….is this thing on?”
“Indeed”
I love the podcast. What part of Philadelphia did he grow up in. I from Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.
My question Doug….Eagles or Browns? Great podcast. You guys are my heroes.
I've waited 2 months for this
just out of curiosity, why is it only audio on spotify?
The audio is too low! I have my PC jacked all the way up!
I had just found the SogCast a few weeks ago and have almost finished watching them all and had been wondering if there were going to be any new ones coming out. It is fantastic to find out that new ones keep coming!🥳🥳🥳 It was amazing to listen to The MacV SogCast! There have been all these Legends in the MacV Sog history! You read and hear about these mere mortals as if they are GODS. To actually get to hear their side of thej story from their own cock suckers is a once in a lifetime opportunity! One question that has popped up recently has been what is the term strap hanger referring to in the MacV Sog world?
Hanging on a rope off the back of the helicopter
It's originally an airborne term for someone not yet on a jump manifest. In SOG it refers to someone who's not on a recon team roster yet but is on standby to join one. Recon teams had members wounded or killed and once a place opened up or a new team was formed, you'd transition from a standby straphanger to an active member of a team. I hope this helps.
Nice.
Who is the "infamous Maj Moore?" Great podcast!
I’d love to be able to hear what these men are saying.
About time sir. I've been hecming Google to make sure nitjing happened to you
I feel incredibly fortunate for having made wise financial choices that have had a life-altering impact. As a single father residing in Toronto, Canada, I successfully purchased my second home in September. If everything continues to progress positively, my aspiration is to retire next year at the age of 50🥰🥰
"I have experienced significant returns since I started engaging in financial transactions with Cheryl Marlene Beard. Her approach to financial management is truly outstanding, offering remarkable insights and tactics that have greatly contributed to my success."
Congratulations on your achievements! It's great to see you doing so well. I understand that I am currently facing financial difficulties at the age of 45, and I am interested in receiving some helpful tips to improve my situation. Owning your own house is a significant goal for you, and it's a wonderful aspiration.
I apologize for the delayed response. I successfully organized my finances by adopting the principles of the FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) movement. With the guidance of an investment professional, I ventured into stocks, cryptocurrencies, and real estate investments, which played a significant role in my financial success."
I appreciate your kind response. I'm interested in connecting with a financial consultant similar to the one who assisted you in achieving your financial goals."
I'm a beginner seeking guidance. How can I access her assistance and benefit from her expertise?"

Whoever is in charge of audio needs to be fired.
My not make a mini series "The Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific".

Medic John Walton is son of Walmart founder.
It isn’t the sound, guy on left turns away from mic to talk.
Anyone else have issues on ear buds? The newer sog cast give me problems.
Did Eldon Bargewell really die in a lawnmower roll over accident? Very hard to believe a man with such skill would die in such a mundane accident.
Cant hear yA
08:03 lolwut? xD

Those glasses are called RPG’s. Rape prevention glasses. Have a good day boys.
Sound quality is not as good as my sons 4th grade KZhead presentation. Wtf TILT… 🔥🗑️
