  • These need the same sound quality as the standard JOCKO podcasts.

    • Agreed, these podcasts are so important. It is very unusual for something like this to be released with this audio quality. I hope this is improved, this is sub-par for this channel.

  • John you and Doug did things that are almost unbelievable to civilians like me. I have the highest regard for you both and just wanted to say thanks so much for sharing your stories. I knew nothing about SOG until I came across your interviews. This is history that should be told. I’m so glad men like you both have been acknowledged. I’m a huge fan!

  • Aloha to you two guys, my Dad (ww2 Vet) did two tours in Vietnam with SOG as a civilian attached to 26th Air Division, stationed in Saigon and Ben Hua, he was in Saigon during the Tet offensive. My Dad the spook:) SOG MACV 100% casualty rate!!! wounded or dead,, no wonder he couldn't relate to my HS problems. I didn't find this out until 30 yrs after left the planet. I was at home, a HS kid growing pimples. I miss my Dad, he was so strangely loveable.

  • I love John as a interviewer! I would love to see the scope expanded. John should interview Recon Marines, SEALs, LRRPs, A team SF, etc! I just read a story about a Recon Marine Lance Cpl Hughes who had the very dangerous job as a diver looking for VC tunnel entrances and killing an enemy diver with his Kabar! Wheh! He passed in 1990. RIP. I love our Vietnam vets! Thank you! I am a retired 17 year Firefighter. God bless!🇺🇸🫡

  • I had just found the SogCast a few weeks ago and have almost finished watching them all and had been wondering if there were going to be any new ones coming out. It is fantastic to find out that new ones keep coming!🥳🥳🥳 It was amazing to listen to The MacV SogCast! There have been all these Legends in the MacV Sog history! You read and hear about these mere mortals as if they are GODS. To actually get to hear their side of thej story from their own cock suckers is a once in a lifetime opportunity! One question that has popped up recently has been what is the term strap hanger referring to in the MacV Sog world?

    • Hanging on a rope off the back of the helicopter

      @gunnerhendrix181@gunnerhendrix18110 ай бұрын
    • It's originally an airborne term for someone not yet on a jump manifest. In SOG it refers to someone who's not on a recon team roster yet but is on standby to join one. Recon teams had members wounded or killed and once a place opened up or a new team was formed, you'd transition from a standby straphanger to an active member of a team. I hope this helps.

As a single father residing in Toronto, Canada, I successfully purchased my second home in September. If everything continues to progress positively, my aspiration is to retire next year at the age of 50🥰🥰
