Melissa Gates-Perry was born and raised in Southern Vermont. She became aware of her intuitive, psychic nature and abilities as a child. She began channeling for clients in 1993 and has since worked with hundreds of people in every part of the world.
Being Humans is Melissa's first book that she co-wrote with her spirit guide, Aralamb. It encompasses 30 years of a relationship between them, and all of the information and life lessons that Aralamb revealed to her. Her chaotic childhood was rife with terrifying situations that Melissa had to navigate in order to survive. A talented storyteller, she included compelling personal stories of how she learned to apply Aralamb's wisdom to her life. Being Humans is a no-holds-barred, brutally honest read threaded with life lessons, stories from her childhood, encouragement, and Aralamb's wisdom, all offered to better understand and steer through our lives' trials.
Melissa is a musician, writer, and intuitive channel. She happily lives in a colorful, music-filled home with her husband and their herd of chihuahuas.
Please enjoy my conversation with Melissa Gates Perry.

    • I have a question, what if one of your soul family ODs and dies really young? Do they have a short exit life in their blue print? Because it still creates havoc and years of grief for everyone else's life and it is almost like suicide but it was not intentional.

  • Agree to disagree!! My sister killed herself, right?!? Worst pain and anguish I have ever gone through, but in a way the best thing that EVER happened to me as far as my standing in this life goes. It prompted me to go back to college for 4 years and become a nurse. I'm now a nursing supervisor and have adopted my three nephews and my life is amazing!! NONE of that would've been possible if my sister had not done what she did. So I thank her for her sacrifice and cannot feel or believe that it wasn't part of our soul plan. My sister and I lived very similar lives. We were molested by the same man for years. Had similar issues with things growing up. At first I thought it was nothing but hell, until I saw the light at the end of the tunnel for me.

  • My husband took his life and my known life collapsed. He gave me a gift as Spirit and soul “for me” that I did not understand initially. He came to me in an illuminated body to speak to me as there was a concern in the higher realms that I would follow suit. He told me that at a soul level we agreed to do this with each other so that I would ascend and enter Mastery on earth to show others which I have done. He said it takes a GREAT BEING OF LIGHT to play a role on earth that creates suffering for that soul’s advancement. Not a human comprehension. His Essence was with the All. His soul was being purified that he be One and in Mastery… with me. He appears regularly to me on earth and I know very soon we will walk this earth together again in another frequency and dimension.

  • To those of you who are wondering what is happening on the other side to your loved ones who committed suicide, please remember that no channel provides the unadulterated truth. The messages they receive are filtered through their personalities and life experiences. It does not make sense to me that an unconditionally loving Being would make any soul go through that on the other side. It isn't a loving way to treat a soul who was in so much pain that they decided to end their life. If you are wondering about this, please ask Whoever you believe in to send you a message about what happens when someone commits suicide, and please don't worry or grieve. I believe that they're living in the same joy and bliss as we all will when we pass.

    • I agree. I don't want to lose my faith in these channelers because some of the information is SOO good. But the more that come out, the more contradictory things we hear. I've heard multiple channelers say there is absolutely zero judgement on the other side. None, whatsoever, no matter what. Earth life is a school. They absolutely do not judge and everything is unconditional love. Key word: unconditional. Now we got someone who admits they lost someone to suicide, and coincidentally their message is that there is scorn punishment, essentially a prison, there are "rules broken" etc etc. These channelers are starting to give as many mixed signals as there are in the real world.

    • Well said- channellers like any info you receive should be taken with what speaks to your soul and feels real ( we are continually changing ( hopefully growing). Also the things Free will, unconditional love from source no judgement

    • I totally believe that we make a FINAL contract with creator ..we get many 'outs' but the REAL END of earth life is the contract with creator, I call it the 'handshake with God" If our choice was to experience passing by suicide then that was the 'handshake' and there is NO NO NO judgment on that from Creator..that was the plan. I believe the stigma of suicide is related to the perceptions and judgments of others, not our creator. I will never believe there is anything 'wrong or bad' about this choice. When a patients has end of life cocktail..is that suicide? Of course not. Our creator doesn't judge us, others do and that is based on individual belief systems. For those who have loved ones who have committed suicide, release your fear and give it to your Divine source.

    • I completely agree. People who haven't known the type of despair that physically hurts have no idea. Sometimes people know it can't get better, or so they feel. I do however think it would be wrong to be in a position of teaching others, as she is, and implying suicide is ok, or a good idea. I might even say a suicide attempt can't be successful if it isn't a persons 'time'. Just my thoughts.

  • I’ve heard and believe all deaths are suicides because we contract how to exit this human body, but our souls always live on. The sheer act of choosing how we leave be it illness, tragedy, or what we call self inflicted are considered all the same. We’re ending this life contract and our souls continue to its next mission/desire.

  • This interview prompted me to forgive my cousin (who was like my brother) for committing suicide, and to say out loud to his soul, “I LOVE YOU. Don’t worry about the pain and chaos. It has passed; we are fine. Don’t despair. We (the connected souls) carried on after your suicide and we’ve got this timeline covered. It took some time, but we picked up the pieces. You did not cause irreparable damage. Again, I love you and I’m grateful that you were here with us for 36 years.” So, that felt freeing and correct for me. And I know my cousin got the message and his soul feels loved and free too. Thank you for this opportunity, Alex and podcast team.

  • 44:20 mins in and I started bawling my eyes out. This really touched my soul. My baby sister (33yrs old) died 5.3.22 a day after my bday from Leukemia. When she was born, she had a rare disease which made her sleep with our mom her entire life. Literally after being born one thing after another something bad (medically) was always happening to her, and she was so strong through it all. So STRONG. Even her doctors would tell my mom she was dealt a horrible hand in life and that she never could catch a break. I would pray to God “pls take years off my life, I’m healthy, I got to experience beautiful things. Pls let my sister stay with us longer, if something happens to my mom I’ll take care of her.” We have all been so devastated since her passing. My mom had a stroke the night Steph passed-She didn’t want to let go of her body. And had another stroke a few months later. There are days I cry so hard I can’t catch my breath. I’ve never been apart from my sister. When my parents separated I bought my first house and my mom and sister have always lived with me. Her and my son are 8 years apart- and she would always say that was her son too. We have never been apart since she was born. I’ve always said my sister was the backbone to our family, and she truly was. She was the leader. She made a pack to do all of this for us before she was born. What an impeccable soul. This has helped my heart. Thank you.

  • MERCY IS EVERYTHING. My inner guidance is that suicide isn't what she is saying. Everyone needs to forgive the person who takes themselves out. There is never a "cut and dried" right answer. A person who chooses euthanasia, is not taking the easy way out. The threat of "unforgivable sin" for a suicide seems mostly to be used to guilt people into staying alive so other beings can torture them. Sadly that is true. There are many life circumstances where a baby will enter into being abused. Some people will find her words helpful and that is what is right for them, but it isn't an absolute... not ever.

And her justification of it in the case of physical illness but not mental illness seems fairly arbitrary. This interview didn’t resonate with me.

In the after life the love of god is unconditionally and so the person who commited suicide will not be treated differently (will not be punishrd) The person who commits suicide will go straight to heaven Also what the person has learned will not have to be done over completely You learned what you learned, it brought you furder this experience will stay. There is no do over, this would be like a punishment, there is no punishment in the precense of god Why do poeple always stay so judging about suicide ?? We have a free will, also to end this life (this game) premature And that person is loved unconditionality like the rest of the world….

Earth is but a mere illusion of what is truly out there. No one has done anything wrong. Yes we may have a soul plan but plans get changed all of the time. Earth is a fun exciting adventure. Sometimes 3D perceptions and beliefs can make us feel like we are doing something wrong but everything is ok. No matter what a soul decides to do they are so loved and adored and appreciated. Every moment lived on Earth has helped the evolution and expansion of the Universe and beyond. We are eternal beings and we are cannot get it wrong. I am told some of us will laugh when we transition because we overthink everything. To those that have lost people or to those that have had these thoughts please understand you are more loved than you could ever imagine. Everything is always working out for us. I think this lady is trying to tell souls to stay on Earth but the message has been misinterpreted. Her heart means well. Every one of us is amazing. We are all pieces of the greater puzzle. If we were perfect then creation would not be able to keep creating xx ✨⭐️💛

  • I 100% Disagree!! Sorry but I've been listening to many channels myself and read tons of spiritual books, listened to Dr. Joe Dispenza, etc etc etc. This is the first time I've ever heard this about suicide and Melissa is likely being guided by someone who seems positive but isn't. I just listened to St.Germain and I KNEW everything he said was right because I was already thinking it before I heard him. I was planning on checking out, not because im depressed but because I'm just done. I decided to stay to hold the light but if I feel its time to go ill go and not feel guikty about it or thats it wrong somehow for even a second. There is no right or wrong, remember?!!! Please, if your reading my comment and feeling bad about someone you lost to suicide because of what this person has said please just sit quietly with your higher self and ask for answers directly. No one would ever be able to convince me this woman is speaking the truth and she's proving it herself by telling us so many people get angry with her about her/her guides opinion about it. That alone sent up huge red flags for me because that means the message is not resonating for all those people! Also, "it's worse than committing murder"???!!! There's no judgment on the other side, no right or wrong, so how can anything be worse than anything else?! Having said all that this is actually a good podcast to hear for everyone it helps you discern truth when you hear things that aren't. Namaste everyone ❤❤❤❤❤❤

    • @@METALHEAD550 you're right, I learned years ago that you have several set up before you incarnate. I'm 60, I used to be a crack addict, I was also a taxi driver I can't tell you how many near misses I've had. Those are exit points. When I was pregnant with my twins my husband took me out for a motorcycle ride. We were out on the highway and he kept popping through the gears, at one point I didn't expect it and had loosened my grip on him, there was no back rest on the bike. I started to fall backwards off the bike while we were going 50 km. I felt myself go past the point of no return and then suddenly I was sitting back upright. I can't imagine what the car behind us must have seen and thought. I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that I was saved by an angel or God or Whoever and by my being saved so were my children. That was an exit point for all of us that our higher selves decided we were not going to experience. I even attempted suicide when I was around 25 and pulled through. I've never felt guilty about it despite my very Christian mother trying to scare me into feeling that way. And at this point, after everything I've learned, I'm not the least bit scared about dying. If I wanted to go I would be able to simply go sit under a tree and let go and not be upset or worried about whether or not God approved. God is pure unconditional love. He does not judge or punish. This woman really pissed me off. How many people has she harmed with this nonsense? It's sad to think about.

Anything is possible so will leave that unanswered at this time.

    • Agreed. There are so many versions of timelines available at any given moment that suicide is not the wrecking ball that ruins everyone else's timelines. Yes, it sucks to have someone you love die that way, but there are lessons in recovery from it also. God doesn't judge our free will. Why would God judge itself? We are all aspects of God/Source so why would anything not be allowed. But we all have personal human filters and interpret channeling through those. What that means is we all create our realities in the liferime so every opinion is valid. It's all just Source having experience anyway. There is no end to anyone. Only experience. I also believe that some suicides ARE contracted before birth, just like early deaths through "natural" causes are. I lost a cousin and a friend to suicide but they are not lost...still here. I miss them but only their physicality. Talk to them regularly. I'm not suggesting suicide, but I'm also not buying that we don't have the choice. Some souls take on more than they can handle in a lifetime.

    • Yeah I have a hard time thinking unaliving ones self is always this or that or blah blah blah. The universe is not black or white :) my beloved aunt and uncle unalived themselves together. It was there choice and I respect it .. there was nothing dark about it. They let me go into their home after the bodies were removed. I was having a hard time before I went to their home. I thought it was dark and that there would be darkness when I opened the door, but I would be mistaken. As I approached the boarded up door, it did look from the outside very depressing, but when I opened the door, I felt their love envelope me. They loved being caved up at home together. I could feel their presence so strong. They were in their own world of peacefulness. There was this lovely warm breeze wafting through the hallway, I had a friend with me and she stayed in the front room while I went back to their bedrooms. My uncle was a collector of super hero statues and she began to box them up and right before she put her hand back on the case. A large strong gust of wind came rushing through and knocked the door closed 😄 Anyways my aunt eventually came to me in a dream for me to say good bye. :) It's all about our own beliefs I think

  • Her diatribe on suicide could not be more off. I would caution that this information is not coming from the other side of good energy. The belief around a holding place comes from the Catholic Church I. E. Purgatory. I believe she is also affected personally on the subject matter, and is not a clear connection of truth concerning this. It’s easy to see her energy just is not right. Definitely she is not at peace around this. Highly recommend you disregard this message on this subject. There is much better available to you.

Furthermore, my siblings have been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and together, we're meeting these challenges head-on. I'm also meeting or having new people (professionals who've come out of the woodwork) enter my life who are guiding me through a lot of the confusing legal protocols. It's been a rough time, but I know it's also a time that is impacting my life and the life of my loved ones in a positive way because of the many "signs" and synchronicities. In fact at the end, when Mellissa mentions that we need to embrace our challenges -- she's spot on. I feel that it's when I've learned to just roll with the punches and embrace the challenges in my life that the "miracles" started to happen. Thank you for this wonderful podcast. Wishing you and everyone who listens to your program much peace, love, light and learning.

  • The idea (checking-out early) does throw a wrench, yes... And the idea of reinforcing this belief is to somewhat 'dissuade' those tempted in an 'early check-out' for (lower vibration) reasons linked more to 'ego' rather than the (higher vibration) themes chosen to be explored in this physical reality experience / lifetime. The idea of the soul being stuck in some kind of limbo until all co-creation souls have checked-out 'naturally' and that should be made to experience the 'negative energy' of all those outcomes is akin to the idea of karmic retribution (mis-interpreted as it is in mainstream spirituality) combined with taking it to the next level (i.e. 'celestial' karma) and also somehow underlining that this entire "you will experience all the pain you have caused" is linked to linear time (and in the spirit world / higher dimensions) and that by defining the generational impact is implying that this process will take a very long time --> so it's actually closer to the concept of having committed a crime and going to jail for it, until you've 'done your time / paid your dues'. In a Universe where time is not linear, and everything is about love / compassion etc. Again, we can all understand why this information has been brought forward in such a way, especially as we can also understand that - without cementing the idea of 'hierarchy' too much (but just as a fluid concept - a learning aid for this next idea), that there are many 'levels' of spiritual beings on the other side, at different levels of vibration - so even though there is a much higher sense of understanding at higher dimensions, there are still 'degrees' to that understanding / knowledge / 'wisdom' which reflects in what / how spirits communicate and share information with us here in physical reality, depending on the type of spiritual being. Any (real) Medium would agree that the lower spirit realms (even though vibrationally higher than physical reality) are somewhat messy, at times disorganised & confused, playful to varying degrees, and at times still with 'a foot in the door' which can contribute to the 'tinting of the lens'. We (as in all those sharing in this experience here - as in the overall / average energy vibration being expressed) intuitively feel / know the degree of truth associated with the initial idea brought forward (suicide is bad, don't do it) and once we see past our collective knee-jerk reaction to "wait a minute, something's off, so it must be ALL off" we can understand the layers of energy / communication that have been shared here by Aralamb / Melissa as coming from a place of Heart, and only intended to help us in our own experience. Thus, many warm and sincere thanks to Alex, Aralamb and Melissa for having brought this experience into focus.
