Hello World! This is how we want to introduce ourselves, we are Swedish band Wintergatan! In May 2013 we will release our debut album and go on tour playing live starting up in mostly Sweden and Norway and a little in Europe. Everything and more about this album will be found at www.wintergatan.net
Welcome to the World of Wintergatan!
All the best from Sweden and us and take care.
Martin, David, Evelina, and Marcus - Wintergatan
If you want to support:
The fact that you are watching the videos and care about the music and future of Wintergatan is the best support anyone can have, I want to thank everyone who is here for that kind of support, it is really the fuel for the Wintergatan Engine.
PAYPAL ME
►www.paypal.me/wintergatan
Why do we accept support in this way?
I, Martin, can already sustain myself 100% doing what I love to do. If you want to support artists/organisations who have not yet reached that privileged position, please consider supporting other artists/organisations who need the support more. With that said, I have too many ideas and too little time and with your support I can get more help from people around me to execute the ideas better and bring them out in the world faster.

    • People who need vocals in their music to enjoy it are the most boring normies man. They don't even truly enjoy music. They use it as a form of socialization or self identifications. Like the old biker dudes who only listen to Metallica and ACDC etc. It's just a form of preserving their self image. Really annoys me.

  • Thank you. All of you. If any of you ever read this. Had someone told me a year ago, two years ago, that I would sit here and listen to this song as much as I do, and feeling the things I do, I would have called them crazy. For about 30 years that I can remember I have been listening to music dominated, defined by lyrics, despite being very much a more rhythmic person. Dominated by guitars in the same way, and steady rock/metal beats that plainly support with the little spice of some fill ins here and there. Very much in contrast to the variability in this piece alone. From the high pitches of the Glockenspiel to the zooming bass of the synths and bass drum, and everything in between... seeing the recordings of your live shows really makes me hope I can see this for real one day, your portfolio of songs, instruments and the way you play them is so far detached from what I ever have seen... and so close to what I always have dreamt of doing myself... This band is absolutely crazy in a most certainly positive way. Drawing in with so many details like this insane audible and visual drop at 3:25 - I did not see this coming, it blew me away when I first saw it, and the music takes me to different places to this day. Thank you for touching me in a way that this genre of music, if anything even ever came close to this, never could. You, all of you, are clearly gifted. And many things that I see and hear are things I wish for myself, the skills that you have, on and off stage, the dedication and the attention to detail.. did I mention the skills? Stay awesome and best wishes to all of you and your loved ones.

  • Just for fun try to spot all *7* non-electronic instruments played in this video? Don't cheat!...Watch & listen closely then check below :) With the electronic gear this is a magical combo called folktronica. Answers: Evelina plays lots of beautiful grand piano (spot it at 1:27, 1:43, 1:59, 2:06, 3:26, 3:40), there are two different glockenspiels (David is playing one just out of frame at 0:20 & 2:40 (3:15 shows it), then Martin from 0:53, 1:14 etc), lots of accordian as backing chord layers from the beginning (0:23, 0:36 etc) & melody (1:21, 1:45 etc), percussion on the table (0:44), drumkit throughout and the one-of-a-kind wind-up music box (0:02 & 2:25) which Evelina has to play at just the right speed. So for all those saying this is mostly electronic, just for interest it's close but there is more acoustic content than electronic with at least 2 to 3 of the 4 band members playing acoustically during most (but not all) of this and that's pretty impressive.
