  • Still scary to put himself through that training which could go wrong given Guy’s damaged body. Kudos to Guy for giving us a taster what it’s like in Colombia.

    • As someone who lived in Colombia temporarily and visits every year to see family, this show is quite misleading about how it is in Colombia. It’s very over dramatised!! Colombia is a much safer country than it used to be and there is much less violence than before. Shows about Colombia only focus on drugs and pablo escobar and ignore its beautiful and colourful culture… Visiting Colombia as a tourist is safe!

  • This is no different to the training provided to top politicians and members of the Royal Family in the UK, or many countries for that matter. Having spent the last 3 years in cities in Colombia, I have seen less trouble in that time than an average Saturday night out in London, Glasgow, Cardiff or Liverpool, but then that wouldn't make great sensationalist TV for Channel 4 would it!!

    • I’m surprised your wife liked it. This show is very over dramatic and only focuses on the bad things in Colombia. It’s a much safer country than it used to be and many documentaries about Colombia completely ignore the beautiful culture and geography and instead only talk about drugs and pablo escobar… you can watch Narcos for that

    • I completely agree with you I am Colombian, my husband is British he couldn't believe what he was showing, we have been living in Colombia for 6 years and we never saw Colombian taking drugs and we never went to those places, in everywhere you will find what you are looking for! If you want drugs you don't have to go to Colombia, you will find that in England!

    • Obviously dude. That's why it's training. Why do you think military, police, EMS and about everybody else trains for their specific job. Yes, it's different when you know that guy isn't actually dying or bleeding, but you still go through the motion of providing aid. You know it's only blanks being fired at you, and it's a real enemy, but you still assault the objective or react to the ambush.

    • The point is to give you some familiarisation with a situation like that. It works and if it didn’t, the military wouldn’t use similar tactics to give you that familiarisation.

  • Although you can tell Guy had fun throughout his journey around Colombia, his thirst for adrenaline and danger is very misleading. On one hand he is zooming on aspects that he finds fascinating like drugs. Sadly drugs process, drug chases and drug land is the main focus of this program. This is hardly a balanced picture of what the country is now a days. On the other his approach to the culture is general and vage, although I'm sure for many is entertaining. Shallow, misleading and incomplete.
