He bought Twitter - a marginally profitable website - for 44 billion USD and proceeded to destroy the website's income. In no time the value of Twitter took a nose dive. Within around a month of buying Twitter it would be difficult to find a buyer prepared to shell out more than 1 billion USD for the website.
