What I really liked about the conversation is that how she uses simple vocabulary to speak for quite long. Loved it!
"That's the end of the speaking test" It's the best thing you will ever hear in the exam day.
lol yes! Same for me.

Not British.

Hey Chris Just to say thank you for all your videos. I received my results few days ago and I had 8 overall (L8.5, R7.0, W7.0 & S8.5). All I did was listen to your videos and the strategies you teach. Keep it up
Well done!
Congratulations!
Congratulations
Well done! Did you prepare yourself just from his videos? How was the exam?
Are you a native speaker? Or self studying
I love these sessions and the constructive feedback. It does help a lot! We need more of this.
I got 8.5 in speaking, and I can proudly say that this channel helped me a lot to prepare for it. One thing I'd like to add is that speaking isn't as difficult as it sounds. You just have to relax and be confident..
Congrats!
My IELTS test will be conducted very soon 😢 areeba Could you please tell me how was it? Everybody says that it's too hard
Which things u prefer is really important in IELTS test?
Can you share your Ielts questions.please. It would be helpful for us.thanks in advance❤
Chris, you are an exceptional tutor. I am new on this channel very grateful.
So natural speaking way....helps alot
Every student deserve a teacher like you.
Examiner is so polite too with this lady so that's she speak confidentiality English language is all related to relaxation of ur mind
OMG I cannot recommend your channel enough. Chris, you're the most straightforward teacher I've seen online. The thing is, my family never had the money to send me to an IELTS learning center, and your videos help me a lot. You clearly know what you're telling viewers in your videos, and your tips just work, perfectly. I've taken a test organised by IDP last December. Even though my results was investigated for a while, today I've received it. Overall: 8.0; Reading & Listening: 8.5; Writing & Speaking: 7.0. And I've only actually been preparing for my test for 2 months (albeit I've learned English for years). Your videos gave me so many good tips, hence helped me to avoid the bad tips all over the Internet. It's safe to say that they gave me a whole new prospective about the IELTS test: it's not supposed to be over-complicated, I just need to use what I have in my heart. Again, I cannot express how grateful I am to you. Definitely a channel I've recommend to my friends and family if they need to take the test. Thank you Chris, from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for recommending my channel to others. Congratulations on your fantastic score!
Love what you do, appreciate all your work, thank you so much
Your videos are always insightful..I'm slowly building my confidence in speaking..I sometimes tend to forget my vocabulary Or my kind goes blank..but your videos are helping me
Can’t name a better learning channel than yours!
I'm so glad you interview candidates that speak plainly without too many decorations because that's how I speak normally and it's reassuring to know that that is enough (as long as we respect the main criteria)! I used to think that for band 8 and 9 you have to speak like a PR expert! 😵😊
I noticed you give feedback very carefully and repeated that it wasn’t a criticism, which is very considerate and different from a lot of others
Wish i can score good required bands 😢waited alot struggling as well. Very effective video we can lear more compared to our class
Dear Chris, Thank you so much for what you do in this platform. I recently did my IELTS Academic Test. I only had 7 days to prepare and all I did was learning from your KZhead Content. I scored an overall Grade 8.0 and super proud of myself. Thank you so much. If it wasn't for your guidance I wouldn't have done it within 7 days. I wish you nothing but success. May many students find this channel as it's only gonna do them good!
Great job!
You are the best teacher! Your videos help me a lot. Thank you!!!
Hello Chris, I love your work and I do appreciate the efforts you put in. I spent 3days on your channel undersood your tips and got a band 7. As a non-native speaker who has studied in English all through his life, I saw the test to be less difficult and was hoping to get a band 8 or 8.5 without any special preparations but it turned out to be tricky. However, I am okay with 7 and I don't regret my time at your channel. Thanks alot.
You're very welcome. If you ever need our help in the future, you know where to contact us.
This channel helps me a lot. Thanks a bunch Chris.

Amazing!
brother in which platform you give your listening prectice test..?
She is such a sweet person... ♥️ She definitely made many mistakes but I feel like we still understand wt she wants to say ( IELTS criteria are weird )
Fabulous student, I'm jealous! Well done to Chris for not calling it a 'real' speaking test as many videos do, that's refreshing. Also it would be a great idea Chris if students like this one could be persuaded to do a 'talking heads' vid where they can give advice to other students about their English habits and routines - that could be a real role-model to follow. I know my students would really appreciate it.
It would be quite insulting to call it real and then shoot it in a professional podcast studio. Great idea.
Nice 👍🏻 lady intelligently give answer regarding physical health and food related issues
Hi, Chris Thank you so much. I took exam 27 th January. And i got band 7 with band 7 in speaking. Your advices help me a lot, particularly not trying to use high level words in the exam. Thank you❤😊😊 .
Great job!
I like her way of speaking. She used simple words and phrases She has nice fluency 🎉
He is so good at giving feedback and criticizing, I want him to be my teacher for life
Thank you for your kind words. If there's anything we can assist you with regarding your IELTS preparation, please feel free to reach out.
@Ieltsadvantage I watched so many of your videos and I tried to repay your efforts by not skipping the ads xD I still can't figure out why most of my mistakes are from the section 1 and section 2 of the listening part. It is the same with the reading too. I usually don't make any mistakes in the section 3 and 4 but they are supposed to be the hard ones. I just don't get it. I would appreciate it if you shared your thoughts about the issue. Maybe I need to focus more idk. Thanks for the free lessons and materials anyway. If I get a high score, I'll let you know cause I learned so much from you. Lots of love from Turkey
Sir great video because it's very useful for students ❤❤
I can't skip your videos cz that has helped me a lot.
Glad to hear that

Hey Chris, I had my exam on the 10th of February and because of your 12 hour IELTS course I was able to get an overall 8 Band (L8.5, R8.5, W7.5 and S7.0). My writing improved a lot due to your tips on structure and paraphrasing. Thanks a lot for your content. I will be sure to recommend your channel to other people.

Thank u for authentic exam enviroment
many teachers say, don't say "you know" it makes your score lower, but when i watch your videos like 8+ holders say "you know", i am confused what to do
Your are videos are amazing.
Thanks.
This speaking video is my favorite one, I love how she uses simple vocabulary. It helped me a lot to gain confidence before exam day. I received my results and I had 7.5 for speaking🙊
Glad it was helpful!
Her pronunciation was so fluent
Really free me from memorizing those complicated words
My test is next Saturday, and you are my only source for preparing. Once I get my results, I'll reply to this comment. Thank you in advance ☺️
It's really not difficult just be honest in your answers if you have no knowledge about the topic asked just tell them you don't know but don't leave awkward moments all the best
Best of luck with your test!

I feel more confident when i watching your channel my first exam i got 5.5 the last month and the second exam exctly in the next month i have punch of issues thinking and build clear the sentences but i still fighting to achieve my dream please guys pray for me to get at least 6.5 😻🙏🏽

I got 8.5 as well ha ha that was like a miracle since I only achieved 6.5to7 averagely before that. Probably because the topic is technology related which is my favorite field to talk about
And by the way, I stuck in 7 in total every time. I have achieved like 8 in reading part or 8.5 in speaking part, then I always failed in other part like writing part-never across the 6 band barrier
Therefore, I have to attend this exam over 4 times, which is extremely frustrated. I already prepared for ielts about a year
She speaks out of the box
Can you make a video about the reading strategies for each topic ? That would be really helpful for a lot of people.

Hello sir I give my speaking exam today it is very difficulty to pressure the handle so I burffed in part 3 particular 2 question. In part 1 I give simple and polite answer In part 2 I speak up to 1:30 or 40 second. As well as some rare one repetition and grammatical error
Thanks for sharing. Best of luck with your scores.

I've only been teaching IELTS for 5 years so far and I'm trying to improve every day. So firstly, thanks so much for these videos, they're an excellent resource for any IELTS tutor. May I ask, how can this be a band 8.5 when she's making so many grammatical errors such as 'If you feel hot, you go to the mountains', 'We go ski', 'I used to play wakeboard', etc. For me, as a tutor, these errors feel too frequent; as the band descriptors for band 8 say 'Produces a majority of error-free sentences, with only very occasional inappropriateness or basic/unsystematic errors'. Was she able to achieve a band 8.5 because the other band descriptors (fluency & coherence, lexical resource and pronunciation) were so good? If you could give me a bit more information on how you arrived at an 8.5 that would really help me in my marking, as for me this feels more like a 7.5-8 and I want to re-calibrate my feedback style for my current students. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!
Thank for you for the well-considered response. It’s much better than some of the angry responses we get here. I think there are three problems here: 1. Yes, she does make some errors, but so do all students who get a Band 8 for grammar. Even Band 9 students make little slips. Many people think Band 8 means perfection, it doesn’t. 2. There’s a difference between listening to someone speaking and listening with the intention of analyzing every grammar error they make. Even examiners aren’t listening for and analyzing every little error. 3. What you perceive to be an error, might not be to many examiners. Where I’m from, many of her perceived errors are accurate. This is why many non-natives pick up on errors that native-speakers wouldn’t even hear. Text-book English vs. real English. I also think that there are so many scripted videos out there that when someone hears what a real student sounds like, they perceive it in a warped kind of way.
@@Ieltsadvantage I've found other IELTS tutors can be slightly elitist indeed..as a result of that, it makes it quite hard to open discourse with other tutors and improve. As you mentioned, there are so many scripted or badly marked speaking tests on KZhead that it's really hard to discern which ones are accurate for less experienced teachers like myself. I'm a native English speaker and I love grammar. Perhaps I'm being too strict with my students indeed. I think your second point is really crucial as so many tutors on KZhead are vocal about correcting every little mistake our students make whilst listening in order for our students to improve. This is not the same as just listening to someone speaking. I have one more question if you have time: For me, I tend to make fewer notes for Part 1 when marking (and would normally only mention things like timings and structural mistakes/over-sharing) as I use Part 1 to get a feel for how the speaker speaks and their natural diction (if any) so that I don't mistakenly mark someone down for hesitation when they are simply a naturally slow speaker, for example. Then I use that context to fully mark their speaking part 2 and part 3 with some specific errors and other general repeated errors. Is this a normal and beneficial way of marking the speaking test? Or do you feel like it's just as important to mark the IELTS Speaking Part 1 section the same as the others? Thanks in advance!
I think that’s a good approach.
The examiner is very friendly. I like him very much.
Hi, chris, i am sorry to inform you that, here in my country IELTS is really a business. Especially in speaking test. Majority of the students get 6.5 band without even saying anything appropriately. On the other hand, the outstanding students get 5.5 band in their speaking modules. I wrote it two times. I know i was not that much good in my speaking and overall English. However, they give score based on their plan. Here, examiners plan certain score to set of dates. What will do? I want my required score. But don't know what to do?
I know it’s easier to think this way, but it’s really just a coping mechanism. If you want to get the score you need, you must accept that you are the reason why you failed, and you are the reason why you’ll pass.
Hey Chris! I received my results from my recent test and it is 7.5 (L:8.5, R:8.5) 0.5 shy of 8. wanted to thank you, your lessons helped me a lot. God bless you❤
Well done!
Doesn't she look like Sushmita Sen(Indian actress). However, her pronunciation and ability of answering tough question is impressive❤
Very good
Is it a quite well shown example?? Mine is bit better definitely...

Finally an Arbic girl🔥🤩🤩 I can now compare my answer to hers carefully
A few more coming soon.
Tomorrow is my speaking test an i am watching your videos
Best of luck!
I do have an American accent. General.
My main exam is on 24feb I have got 6.5 in speaking module on last mock test Do you have any suggestions for me how can I boost my band score??
Where did you give the mock on which site??
Does it necessary for us to use idioms and phrases in order to achieve high score? I don't see her use variety of those and it's basically just like a normal convo, idk if this does applied to the actual test
Listen to real native speakers have a normal conversation outside the context of IELTS videos. That should answer your question.
15:30 ah my lovely teacher, now i understand why Vietnam here 😂❤ lol
