Usman is such a gem to this sport. His personality doesn't come across great at times but he's really come out of his shell in the last couple years.
Last statement from Usman was spot on.. 100% agreed.. in wrestling during training someone can be completely careless about elboow, punches, knees etc.. but in a fight you can't ..

Their first fight I had Colby win at least three of the four rounds they went. Second fight I had it 3-2 Usman. Colby wasn't as active as he was the first go

You've got to remember when they were living and training together they were different weights, jorge was 155 back then chaels already touched on this plus his takedown defence and ground game overall has improved a lot since then, demian maia said masvidal has some of the best jui jitsu he'd fought against and wasn't able to submit him
He fought at 155 but he always was around the 175 lbs area
Good point and even though he lost 1st Usman fight, he was able to defend most of his takedowns despite how tired he was. That kind of grappling isn’t average

The fact that Chael said it already let's you know that it is not true. Masvidal already had multiple camps at 170 while training with Colby. Obviously Chael does not do his research, he does not have to, there are people believing him anyway without him having to do the work.
