A simple explanation of why 1% might last a long time is that the phone has underestimated the current battery capacity. Then when it gets down to what it thinks should be almost empty, displaying 1%, it finds that the battery has more capacity left than it estimated.

Edit: based on the battery degredation of my and my friend’s iPhones, it should take ~33.5 years for the battery to be this bad, which of course is impossible without another factor, which implies that either the person above is lying to get likes or that the phone battery was physically damaged by something.

@@plasticgames9936 my battery is over 3 years old and still 90% of what it was when it’s new, same with my friend, so it seems unlikely to me that that’s true. iPhones usually alter their power input to prevent overcharging, unless you disable it they stop charging when it’s unnecessary, i.e when I put my phone on charge overnight, it only starts charging at 4AM so it’s ready to use when I wake up but not charging too excessively. My phone at least also literally never gets hot even on fairly intensive games so that isn’t a problem. Capping processing speeds is something that is physically unable to damage processors, it’s just a hard limit on cycles per second, which can’t put more stress on the components as that same stress would be even worse without capping it. Hardware in all computers already does this a lot by default so it definitely can’t cause any damage, and since there is simply less power going to the components as less is needed for fewer clock cycles, there is less current and so less energy expended as heat. Seriously, show me an example of how underclocking a CPU can cause it to overheat.

A simple explanation of why 1% might last a long time is that the phone has underestimated the current battery capacity. Then when it gets down to what it thinks should be almost empty, displaying 1%, it finds that the battery has more capacity left than it estimated.

@@plasticgames9936 my battery is over 3 years old and still 90% of what it was when it’s new, same with my friend, so it seems unlikely to me that that’s true. iPhones usually alter their power input to prevent overcharging, unless you disable it they stop charging when it’s unnecessary, i.e when I put my phone on charge overnight, it only starts charging at 4AM so it’s ready to use when I wake up but not charging too excessively. My phone at least also literally never gets hot even on fairly intensive games so that isn’t a problem. Capping processing speeds is something that is physically unable to damage processors, it’s just a hard limit on cycles per second, which can’t put more stress on the components as that same stress would be even worse without capping it. Hardware in all computers already does this a lot by default so it definitely can’t cause any damage, and since there is simply less power going to the components as less is needed for fewer clock cycles, there is less current and so less energy expended as heat. Seriously, show me an example of how underclocking a CPU can cause it to overheat.

Am I the only one who does absolutely everything in incognito mode? The only time I don't use it is when I want to have something in my search/watch history so I can read it later/rewatch it. Loonaverse theories? Incognito. Cat videos? Incognito. Video games related videos? Incognito. Stuff related to school? Incognito. Dance tutorials? Incognito. Workouts? Incognito etc.
