TURKISH BAKLAVA THE EASIEST METHOD YOU CAN DO! 😍
I am showing how to make baklava from scratch with rolling pin, the easiest way I made so far. We are going to make the fillo / phyllo sheets all together with sprinkling starch between the layers which will result paper thin sheets.
Ingredients:
1 small egg
1/4 cup each milk and vegetable oil
30 gr. butter at room temp.
1/3 cup water
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vinegar
about 2, 2+1/2 cup flour
150-250gr. coarsely ground walnuts
to make the layers about 200gr. wheat or corn starch
to butter the layers:
125gr. butter, melted and foam discard
1/4 cup vegetable oil
For the syrup
1+3/4 cup water (400ml)
2+1/3 cup sugar
small lemon wedge
👩🍳 Tips and Tricks:
You can use walnuts, pistachios or hazelnuts
Make sure you have enough coating of starch in between folding of the each dough.
Bake at preheated 180C for 15 min and lower to 160C and bake for another 40-50 min until golden. If the top begins to bake in shorter time, lower the heat and bake slowly.
Check the video for the syrup consistency and pour hot syrup over hot baklava.

You put so much heart into what you do for us. Everything is so simple. Today I discovered your channel and I am so grateful to you. I love Turkish sweets and Turkish cuisine. I have already learned how to prepare coffee according to the Turkish tradition. In Poland, we brew coffee in the traditional way. Turkish, but it has nothing to do with your tradition. It was only from the Internet that I learned how to make coffee like in Turkey. Thank you very much once again and best regards 🥰
Welcome dear! Glad to hear you are enjoying my content. How do you make coffee traditionally in Poland? Thanks in advance
Dear sister, You make it look so easy to do...and nice to know that their is a special Baklava knife, I never knew that? It makes all the difference with the right tools in cooking. Your "1972" calendar tea towel surprised me, and it even brought a few happy tears to my eyes, as I lived in Karamürsel, Türkiye that entire year. I have so many fond memories of that time in my life. Thank you, for reminding me. Çok teşekkür ederim!
That’s interesting! Rica ederim ☺️ good old times
@@TFT I was looking on the street view function of Google Earth and I see that my old 2-story apartment building has now been demolished and replaced with a taller more modern building. I realize that we must move on, but that does not mean we must forget.

"Perfect baklava " fatma from india.
Thanks FAtma
Asalam alykoum m'y question what fat you Can replace butter to make baklavas TEŞEKKÜRLER
I belive its just design on the towel😊
Is all purpose flour is used or wheat flour for the dough?
I would like to ask, is it possible to make baklava without sugar syrup and loads of butter? To make it more “light”?
Those are two ingredients that make baklava, well baklava :) It is probably better to eat less but do it the right way. You might can tweak a bit but it might affect the taste too not sure
I can easily eat a forth of that pan! 🤣
❤❤🌹🌹🥰🥰
Thank you for the lesson. I am in US and grape vinegar is not an ingredient I’m familiar with. I do have some apple vinegar from Türkiye that is lower acidity than a typical wine vinegar. Should I use that? What is the acidity of the grape vinegar you use? Wish you well ❤
My pleasure yes you can use grape vinegar. Actually we don't get the information on how acidic the vinegars we use. Or there is no grade like that as far as I know. But alternately you can use that too . Hope you enjoy it
@@TFTThank you for your response. I don’t have grape vinegar. So I can use apple vinegar? Or should I use wine vinegar? I can also experiment and let you know 😊
No salt in the dough?
Plz pray for Palestine
