Advantages: - Government spending on arts and history is decreasing-> Cover the cost of construction, regular maintenance, periodical refurbishment. -> better quality, remain the artifacts for the future generations. - more interesting exhibits -> bring the most enjoyable experiences. - Serves as a kind of commercialized tourist attraction. -> provide jobs in service sector -> minimize unemployment. -> make contribution to the economic development. Disadvantages: - Some people are hesitant to frequently go to museums that charge expensive admission-> museum revenue is negatively affected. Benefits outweigh drawbacks

Hello Lee. may be i am completely off track here but would like to get yr opinion. for this question i was thinking of structuring this as follows: intro: paraphrase and state opinion at a high level body1: list out advantages of charging body2: list out disadvantages of not charging conclusion: state opinion(i was choosing to charge) and touch upon reasons concluding why i prefer patrons be charged a fee. do you think this is an acceptable format for this one? Thanks in advance.

What a wonderful explanation. But, the question doesn't include anything about "the right price". is it allowed to spend a full bode paragraph about something close to but not included in the question?? Thanks a lot.
How will I know which one is the General Topic or the Spicific Topic?

Is the "advantage outweighs the disadvantages" question type an opinion rather than discussion question? Is it really asking for your insight or I should just present both sides objectively? please help me understand.
I think it can be taken as either. The important part is that you answer the question "Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?" It makes sense to talk about both in this case. Whether you structure it like an opinion question or discussion question is up to you.

in some countries privately owned transport system have a poor safety record. yet it is the government who have ultimate responsibility for public safety. how can government ensure that private transport companies do not neglect safety regulation? give reason for your answer can you plan for this question with introduction ?

overpopulation of urban areas had led to numerous problem. identify one or two serious ones and suggest ways that government and individual tackle these problem . can you solve this?

Water problem, medical facilities you can mention as a serious problem. For suggesting to govt you can give some ideas like, creating new water storage and building an hospital for every 5km Radius.

I am not sure about my body paragraph as bellow: Body 1- advantage of charging for admission in museum. (i) Govt. needs money. (ii) Charging for admission will add value for knowing culture & history. (iii) development will be made. Body 2: Disadvantage of charging for admission in museum- (i) Less people will visit. (ii) Students will get less opportunities. (iii) Less visitors means less job opportunities & business. If my idea is wrong,please comments
