That's just plain stupid. At that speed you don't have a lot of time to make adjustments. Somebody in the slow lane, (behind a slower driver that you CAN'T see), can look in their mirror and not see you but two seconds later when they decide to drift out you're up very close to them. Why not give them the space they need, who is going to be up on your tail lights at 300+ KMH?

I once had a similar experience, I was casually sitting in the right lane with no other vehicles around, doing 230 on cruise control on a nice Sunday morning, when a Black wrapped Porsche GT2 RS prototype came flying by, and it totally felt like the guy was doing double my speed, absolutely insane

@@tapsulinka Your sisters son does not know the specs of a GT2 RS. The official top speed is 340kp/h. Ref: presskit.porsche.de/models/de/porsche-911-gt2-rs/specifications.html - A well prepped GT2 RS makes up to 355 (speedometer, not GPS) but not more. My latest line 992 2S has 450hp and a top speed of 308 kp/h and it rarely goes above 320. Currently there is no GTS. But the currently biggest Turbo S comes with 650hp and official top speed of "only" 330. That's 22kp/h more despite the huge difference of 200hp! The 992 GT3 is equipped with 510hp and official top speed of only 318kp/h. These cars are the fastest on the Nordschleife for a reason - they are just the best on a track. But when it comes to top speed on a straight, the limitation of engine size will not allow the speeds your sisters son claimed to have driven. Not even in a cup car.

The braking distance is about 500 meters at 330km/h. Your life depends only on the other drivers at such moments.
@@hazardeur Well the cars are always in top condition... no worries about that. I got lucky so far, always looking into the distance and as soon as there is the slightest chance that someone could do something out of the ordinary, I'm on the brakes. There are some no-gos... as in a motorway with only two lanes, curvy, traffic, bad weather etc. It only feels safe if you have 3+ lanes and almost no traffic, good weather... the only time I actually do that besides a track.
I love how composed and sturdy that Merc looks at that speed. Truly a prime example of German engineering

Einmal wollte ich es halt wirklich war mit nem freund unterwegs standen vor ner roten Ampel und die Polizei auf der rechten Seite vor der Kreuzung an der roten Ampel... Bei Grün bin ich schnell angefahren und dann kamen die schon mit blaulicht hinter her xD Grund: Allgemeine VKK... Das muss man aber halt schaffen wenn man es will das die einen anhalten xD

auch wenn die autobahn unbegrenzt ist würd ich es da nicht machen weil 2 Spuren immer sehr gefährlich schon bei 200 km/h. Und erzählt mir nichts mit vorrauschauendem fahren dann. 0:35 wenn dort vom rastplatz ein LKW auf die autobahn auffährt fährt der LKW fahrer vor euch automatisch auf die linke spur auch wenn überhol verbot für LKW's herscht. Ist mir so oft passiert. Keiner rechnet damit das einer mit 330 km/h angeschossen kommt auf einer 2 Spurigen. Passt auf euch auf alles gute. 🧿

Dang. I was driving Porsche 911 315-330 km/h few times this summer, but it just didn't feel this crazy fast and insecure. 160-170 km/h is more then enough for longer stretches, but you just have to give it a go for few seconds from time to time. Stay safe.

Selbst auf deutschen Autobahnen ist alles über 250kmh einfach nur leichtsinnig und lebensgefährlich. 330kmh sind 5,5km/min, 92m/sek. Die Annährung an andere Verkehrsteilnehmer ist so schnell und nicht mehr einschätzbar. Wenn da jemand 200m oder weniger vorher mit 140kmh oder noch weniger rauszieht wars das für alle Beteiligten. Dann ist auch egal wer evtl recht gehabt hätte... Schon mit über 200km/h Reisegeschwindigkeit muss man aufpassen und sehr stark verzögern, wenn man übersehen wurde, oder die Anderen einfach nicht mit der Geschwindigkeit gerechnet haben. Und mit so einer Annäherungsgeschwindigkeit rechnet KEINER! Man darf auch nicht vergessen, dass Touristen oder alle die nicht in Deutschland wohnen und hier auf der Autobahn unterwegs sind mit diesen Geschwindigkeiten bisher noch nie Berührung hatten. Bei 2 komplett freien Spuren von 3 und nahezu keinem Verkehrsaufkommen mag das mal gehen, aber sobald auch nur Fahrzeuge auf der Mittelspur sind nimmt der Fahrer der dennoch diese Geschwindigkeit hält billigend den Tod anderer in Kauf, da er keinerlei Handlungsspielraum mehr hat und jeder noch so kleine Fahrfehler bei dieser Geschwindigkeit tödlich enden muss.

Bei wenig Verkehr ist das Risiko äußerst gering dass etwas passiert, in der Regel sieht man weit mehr als 200m und niemand zieht einfach so bei wenig Verkehr raus. Tatsächlich wäre ich aber selbst in diesem Beispiel die 300 auf der linken Spur gefahren. Aber klar, Autofahren ist irgendwie Vertauenssache, den jeder vertraut zb auf der Landstraße ja auch das der Gegenverkehr nicht plötzlich auf der falschen Spur daherkommt. Hast schon Recht man muss hellwach sein und aufpassen aber dann machts auch Spaß und ist ein Genuss.

Unsere Unfall statistiken belegen das wir sehr sichere Straßen haben. Trotzdem gehört eine vernünftige Reflexion dazu wenn man so viel power unter der Haube hat. Trotdem bitte kein Tempolimit!!
Seh ich auch so. Wenns wirklich so frei ist wie da, kann man es kurz mal machen, aber dann auch nur mit extremer Voraussicht und schnellen Füßen und ins andere Pedal zu steigen. Ansonsten halte ich Tempo 180 als schnelle Reisegeschwindigkeit für mehr als genug, vor allem mit Kind und Kegel an Bord, und auch nur dann wenn es mindesten 3 spuren gibt und die Bahn nicht überbevölkert ist. Schließlich hält es der typische Mittelspurschleicher mit Tempomat nicht für nötig zu warten bis du mit 50kmh mehr an ihm vorbei ist, sondern muss mit seinen 3 km/h mehr den anderen Mittelspurschleicher überholen. Traurig, aber halt alltäglicher Wahnsinn.

Just have an E200, 2019, really nice car with topspeed 240 km/h. If I have a clear road, like under the week during nighttimes, I make all the way from central switzerland to my home in Lübeck (about 960 km) within 7,5 hours. Flying isnt that much faster (way to airport, check in, security check, waiting for baggage, waiting at car rental...) and I guess with an AMG I could beat the time it takes to fly (eventhough there are multiple constructionsites and speedlimits on the whole way). Dont know if I would want though, even during nighttimes people are staying on the left lane at 140 km/h, or trucks overtaking each others without checking there mirrors beforehand. Had to do some risky breaks to not crash at 240 km/h, wouldnt have survived at 330 km/h. Which Autobahn are you driving at in this video? Love both cars!

It's a 4.0 V8, not the 6.2 anymore for some years already (shortly downsized to a 5.5 V8 then went to 4.0 V8)

Have an E450 wagon, all the utility, safety, beauty and reliability for half the price. I still shut down the odd jerk in a sportscar. It's fun driving a total sleeper, and the police ignore it too. Does my inner 6 year old want the AMG? Of course. But the inner adult doesn't want the noise, gas bills, or carbon fiber interior. Not much else is this much fun to drive and can carry 7 people, or 2 people and 6 - 100# dogs (Bernese Mt. dogs).

Try that in UK and many lane hoggers would kill you by turning into the overtaking lane at slow speeds. If not the police would lock you up and throw away the keys. We live in a prison part of the planet.
