KNIPEX IS AMAZING.EVERY SINGLE MAN NEEDS ON. FACT PLYERS WRENCH FTW SEMPER FI GUNNY
My wife said no more “tool purses”… but I might build this kit for my backpack. 😂😂
😂
Lol, yeah. Mine just calls them "purses" in hopes I will like them less....didn't work.
That's funny, my Mrs calls the pew pews "dollies" cause us boys are always modifying, new attachments tinkering etc... Think she thought it would make us embarrassed & mess with em so much either but now we just say real loud in front of her friends to embarrass her "we're goin upstairs to play with our dollies babe!" .... Let her explain that backfire away 😂.
So as a woman who just became obsessed with this EDC stuff, all I can think is how I need to put together a man purse lol😂
Oh shit I hope my Missus doesn't hear that term. She will use it on me mercilessly 😂
What I've learned here is if I'm too well prepared, my "friends" will take advantage of me. Nice kit!
I always carry (and I see it often overlooked) two pairs of vinal/latex gloves. If you're fixing a toilet or something greasy on an engine they're so worth it, they cost nothing and take up no room. I remember doing a fix on a lawn mower, nowhere to wash my hands so had to drive home with grease and oil on my hands, got it on my jeans, phone, steering wheel door handle always carried gloves after that
💯 Agree but make sure they are nitrile. They are chemical resistant, just in case you are working with something toxic. I made that mistake handling some industrial glues.
I love my Knipex. I use a Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver. It’s a staple in my setups. I used it religiously when I was a fireman. I give them as gifts.
Real Men carry these tools because literally only Real Men, who have used tools regularly, end up with a rig like this from actual experience. He had me once he busted out the plumber's tape. This is a damn good kit. Also I don't really do many favors for other people but since I'll be on the move for work-related purposes, I need a small highly efficient tool pouch to throw in with my travel gear.
I have the 7" version of those Knipex pliers. They're incredible. The absolute best multi use pliers ever created.
A mini Vaughan/Estwing prybar is a great addition to a kit like yours. Also a small cold chisel lives in my kit and gets used weekly.
One thing I’d add is a small file or some form of sandpaper. I’ve ran into tons of times a file is needed in day to day stuff. The latest case was at a friends house and they turned their garbage disposal on with a spoon in it. Spoon had a ding in it that was pretty sharp. Pocket sized file saved the day!
what's you EDC file? mine is a half round diamond file, which is great on metals and stone/masonry, etc
If I were you I’d look into the Wera 818/4/1, 051000. Only use Wera and Knipex! Both made in Germany both 10/10 qaulity. The Wera you push a button and it pops down to expose x6 1/4” bits. Has the rapidaptor but chuck that securely holds bits. An at the collar you press that and it extends out automatically like 4”. Press collar again and it comes out so you can chuck it into a power drill as it itself is a 1/4”. Wish we could post pics.
The knipex are great I have the seven inch cobras. And the plier wrench as well. Between the two they do everything all pliers do except three things. They don't lock and create a third hand for you, they don't cut wire, and they don't have thin needle nose. I recommend the small Irwin vice grip needle nose with wire cutter to work in concert with your knipex pliers. You will be satisfied. Klien makes a screwdriver the has a bunch of bits in the handle. Klien makes great screwdrivers and it kits. Replace all your bit a amd drivers with one of those. Good stuff. Replace duck tape with with t rex tape its better.
Thanks for doing. 2 reconditioned, Wera tool check plus ( sockets & bits) & Vim Tools RFB400K( replace ratcheting screwdriver and instead if roll duct tape wrap some duct tape around an old plastic bank/ loyalty card, would considerably reduce your pack size
Here’s what I have in mine, including recent swap outs and new additions: - Knipex Cobra Mini - Hoto Screwdriver - Old credit card wrapped in duck tape - Bic lighter - Swiss army knife - Blister pads & a few ibuprofen - Antacid tablets - Fenix LD 20 flashlight (old as f and pretty dinged up, but going strong) - set of lock picks - set of door latch needles (saves you big $$$ in locksmith bills if your scatterbrained butt forgot his keys inside, and can also really save your neighbors day) - universal set of control cabinet and maintenance access keys (Knipex Twin Key) - Starrett automatic center punch
I plan to Build one. Thank you.
Yep, this is a better setup than the previous one. More practical.
One thing I've added is a lighted compact magnifying glass. You'd be suprised how often one uses it.
ive been on an EDC video marathon and this edc tool kit has been the one i can see myself using most. Checking your other content out now and def gave you a sub. Amazing stuff man.
Thanks man. Catch me on a Livestream and let's talk more
Excellent tool kit with tools that are really useful! No fluff and right to the point!
This video has alot of stories I felt on a personal level
Stories of my life.
Love the tool kit and i hear you about the utilizing the front pouch!. That is a neat kit you have there! I love my cobra Knipex pliers.
EDC tools = Knipex Cobra and Pliers Wrench, Icon 1/4" driver & bits kit, duct, electric, shrink and Teflon tape, zip ties, bit driver, utility knife, pen/pad, bic lighter, bandana, original leatherman from HS graduation.
Nice video. I like how you are using real tools that work that are not ridiculously expensive. Well done
Just changed my daughters kitchen faucet using the pliers. They’re awesome. Great kit. Semper Fi
This is very similar to the 2.0 version of my kit. Was previously carrying a bunch of stuff i didnt need. Knipex pliers wrench FTW. I held on to the leatherman surge because of the saw blade options but the scissors on it suck and its bit driver works best to hold free spinning ends while you work on the other side with a dedicated driver. I ditched the magnetic base work light for a small headlamp. There is a version of the Milwaukee fastback that has a driver on it, it doesn't ratchet but it does shave off some bulk. I added some shears to the outside of the pack. Only things i would add to yours is a lighter, a sharpie, a silcock key, and a small sharpener or leather strop (sand paper and card stock works ok). I also started carrying the consumables in a separate pouch, one of those pencil cases that go in a 3 ring binder: 2x contractor bags, couple of sizes of zip ties, a couple of gallon size ziplock bags, super glue, shoe goo, bank line, tin of wax, and an old piece of plastic clamshell packaging with gaffers tape, electical tape in 3 colors wrapped around it to stay flat. Based on this i will add a carabiner. Thanks!
Really good kit! Maxpedition organization bags are my favorite as well!
Being from Australia, and building my own get home, edc, emergency and bug out kits, would love to get some real budget ideas for my extended family for edc.
Great Channel. I was an Amphibious Assault ship captain and ESG commander. Love serving with Marines. So I ordered everything I didn’t have on hand already. Sure packs the maxpedition. Have to work to close it.
When bro said “can you help move the because you’re the one with the truck” I felt that in my soul 😭
Bought 2 new knipex pliers that are in your video for $8 at an estate sale. Picked them up quick.
I love watching these, mainly to ideas for a small bag for the family car cause my truck has everything I need to change out an hvac system 🤣 ive got more than enough stuff to get me out of a situation on there
I'm glad you posted this. It reminded me to replenish the zip ties in my bag that I recently used. I knew I was forgetting something.... Have you looked at the Rocket Book reusable notepads? The only thing I don't like about them is you have to use a certain type of pen. Other than that, I love mine.
The only two things I would change is replace the Allan's with ball end Allen's. Great for faucet screws. Lastly get blue plumbers tape. It has a chemical in it to give a better seal. Other than that I think I will have to steal this and keep in my truck when I help others out.
Thanks for putting this together. Exactly What I needed to see. Carrying way too much stuff in our truck for “just in case”. Prob about a 3 gallon tote full of full sized tools and sockets etc. Time to get serious bout carrying what I need instead of everything I have
So youre going to carry whats already in your truck that sounds adequate enough to do any job, being full size, to now downsize and carry it on your person? Is that right?
great video and kit. only suggestion is a second adjustable wrench because you almost always need 2
This is awesome. I added small wire cutters, super glue, a mini level and some paracord. Also some magnets to use as stud finders. Love your videos. Thanks, man!!
What kind of small wire cutters can you recommend?
The milwaukee ultility knives are great and they come in 3 models, the basic with just the blade, one with extra blades in the handle, and one with a fold out hex driver in the handle. One of the best bangs for the buck regardless of which you choose.
You speak the truth. The Milwaukee Fastback is a handy knife through and through.
I carry a smaller kit . I carrya streamlight stylus pro and a Milwaukee 6-1 /screwdriver,1/4 craftsman bit ratchet a small tin of bits mm allen bits torx 10-25 largy Phillips and flat and few other bits malco 1/4 -5/16 flip socket bit . knipex xs pliers, pokka pen 4" crescent wrench. Small pry bar . This is pocket kit I carry every day . And use it for 3 years.
II like it. I carry my Leatherman Wave on my belt, with the set of bits and an extension, the sheath also holds a rechargeable flashlight. I keep a large tool roll in the truck.
I have several Maxpedition pouches. I have them all set up for different uses. I love them! #Battalion
Great kit! I would add in a tiny tube of crazy glue and maybe some loctite too.
Good straightforward review , and yes those cheap Allen Wrenches that come with the crappy furniture are the worst. 😢 I like the fit it sticks , a leatherman , and a flash light. I’m running a cloud defense MCH but that’s more of a tactical light.
The Tekton screwdriver set is made in Michigan.Have one in my EDC.
Bravo, I have to downsize because of you I see that it is time to upgrade my pouches. I only have first aid and whole ratchet sets and tool boxes (truck) that are fully functional. However if needed to do small projects I fail somewhat. Thanks 👊🏾 #battalion
Great EDC...I'm looking to put one together. I would probably add a tic tracer (voltage tester).
The world needs heroes and heroes need utility belts. This one is very similar to mine just a little better put together. Pretty sure the K is silent on the Knipex. Great job as always. Thank you sir.
A pocket full of wago lever nuts and 10mm - 19mm quadbox gearwrench ratcheting wrenches are the newest additions to my kit.
Shoot me a link
@@MarineX The wago's are from amazon search: WAGO 221 Lever-Nuts 28pc Wire Connector Assortment Pocket Pack. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0LRTXZ . The quadbox wrenches were from home depot on clearance came as a set of two (www.homedepot.com/p/GEARWRENCH-72-Tooth-12-Point-Metric-QuadBox-Double-Box-Ratcheting-Wrench-Set-with-Bit-Holder-13-Piece-85210D/205595527) and I added the third wrench separately. www.homedepot.com/p/GEARWRENCH-QuadBox-12-Point-Metric-Reversible-Ratcheting-Wrench-9mm-x-11mm-14mm-x-15mm-85213/205592493 . They sold out, but they regularly come on sale at Napa Auto and occasionally pop back in stock at home depot.

lol. I love how you have specific examples of times people asked you to do all these favors. You get a sub from me.
Thanks for joining the battalion
Awesome content brother, great breakdown. Just subscribed 👍
I love your channel. You keep the videos interesting. I am going to make one of these kits.
Thanks much
Good kit and Great presentation!
Thank you kindly!
I appreciate your knowledge
Get that Klien mini rachet is perfect Champ comes with 4 bits too.
Great video and thanks for the links.
Literally just commented on the older took kit video then found this one 😂 Great videos, man!
Nice kit!
I watch different people’s EDC videos. I say that because as a mid-level Autistic, one thing I do on KZhead is that I strive to learn different adulting skill.
I have to recommend my favorite screwdriver I own & I own way too many, you may already own it but it’s the Klein Insulated Flip Blade Flat/Phillips. Home Depot has them for around $20. It’s not the end all be all but if I could only keep one screwdriver that would definitely be it.
Shoot me a link
My links won’t stay up, idk what’s going on.

Like it! I am really hesitant on buying my first multi-driver with bit storage tool because I don’t know which one to get. Being easy to change bits would probably be the biggest factor since I would rather carry 2 small and 2 larger flathead and Philips than mess with a clunky all in one tool. Thoughts? Recommendation?
Would you consider a small bit ratchet, and a few hex bits? With some bit ratchets you could even use the double sided bits from your screwdriver. Faster and easier on the hand than the foldable hex keys (but not as much reach).
Great kit I love the stuff I just worry if you shove lot of gear into a pouch it will stretch out the elastic and ruin it
This elastic is definitely more stretched out. However, I use multiple times a month and it's doing pretty good
Hi, you often need to hold both nut and bolt, so may be some kind adjustable wrench could be important to add.
Agreed. I normally have a multi tool in my left pocket. So two pliers felt crowded in here. But it totally makes sense
Nice kit. If I can give one suggestion. Kobalt makes a little socket kit the same size as the texton kit an it’ll give you some sockets instead of more bits. Nonetheless it looks like a great kit.
Thanks for the vid.
No problem!
Ti is the material, the pen is by Big Idea Design
Great vid big bro 🔥
THAT, is a nice kit. 😁
Looks like you have a Knipex locking crescent wrench. I don't mind that, but I prefer a pliers profile better. I carry a Klein backpack, so I have a little more room to spare, but I found that 10" and 7" Knipex slip-joint pliers have been perfect for just about every task. And if I had to, I could do 95% of what the 10" ones do with the 7".
Really like this video because it made me rethink my tools setup. By the way, I recommended you to the EDC Collaborative, a bunch of EDC content creators that occasionally have loadout competitions. The organizer for that group may reach out to you.
Nice. I'll look into that

@@videolife101 I just sent him a DM on Instagram
Check out the HOTO 24-1 precision screwdriver. Bout the size of a sharpie marker. Pretty sweet little screwdriver
Good amount of hand torque?
Nice video, I did watch part of your other one you refer to, but I didn't make it all the way through becaus it did come across at 'look at all this stuff', and it didn't really have a purpose. However, this kit in this video is really neat. Definitely sold on the Fatty as a carry case, and the selection of stuff in there is exceptionally practical. You just need to find a way to cram in a balaclava in there and you'll have an even MORE capable EDC tool kit ;-)
You should review 6" SATA MINI ADJUSTABLE WRENCH. Perfect for edc gear
Knipex pliers wrench awesome ain't it 👍🇬🇧
pretty solid kit. I would add a small prybar...because nails and staples are a pain in the butt. with the tape you have, what about electrician's tape? a pair of earplugs might be worth it.
Good ideas here
One major tool I found lacking was a multi-meter. So many modern problems are related to electronics.
Totally agree. But I'm not helping my friends with eletrical so they can sue me 😂
@@MarineX Good friends you've got there.
Hey Marine-X, Just curious what was your MOS in the Marine Corps?
Title says it all!
Just posted my Beefy Loadout on FB….Have a twin mounted on my RMP in my Goruck Bullet.
👏👏👏👏👏nice 👍
Also maybe a volunteer tester pen.
+1 multi-tool, +1 roll of electrical tape.
The " my wife wants you to go down and check the pipes " kit.
I need to up my game to Knipex. Running a crappy pair of Craftsman robopliers.
Is this a edc or a mini toolbox?!
Thought you were a green man. I'm lovin all the orange!
It would seem like you are an ideal fried and your friends are useless lol. Bravo!
Hey man I just got some crappy ikea furniture wanna come help put it together
Only if there are no directions and keystone lite

I’m at DISD now 🤦🏿♂️ I feel so naked at work without my shit
Can't take it?
I'm a WT White alumni
In the truck 🛻 👀 not in my person naw
@@MarineX I went to Kimball back in the gap
Are you a free lance handyman of some sort?
Hey man…instead of having a small roll of duck tape. Get a old gift card and wrap duck tape around the card. You can give yourself several feet without the bulk of a roll.
This is not the beefy it is the fatty 😊
Giggty to both 😂
Sounds like you need to get some more practical mates pal. 😄
The morale patch sticking above the bag looks unkempt - not neat. Lose it, altogether or get a lot smaller one. It looks like it would get in the way of removing items from the front pouch.
Pound sand
I only carry a hammer. If you can't fix it with a hammer then its an electrical issue.
This is Joe Average's kit that doesn't actually use his tools, and wants to pretend that he has a reason to use the term EDC. It is a fair beginning learner's kit.
Keyboard princess
No. Guy who actually uses tools that he carries every single day. I don't carry them in a little pouch, but on my hip. There's rarely an hour in my day that I don't have one of these tools in my hand.@@MarineX
"real men"
Thank you for referring to your screwdrivers as slotted head….not flat head…
I try lol
So if a dude doesn't own this....he isn't a real man?
No, a dude isn't a "real man" if he refers to himself as a "dude" and asks stupid questions.
$139 pen, EDC crowd is cringe as all fuck.
I use my $139 pen more than my phone. So everyone has a value.
I'll stop commenting eventually, but this video is thought-provoking. Why say this is what "real men" carry? I agree that being handy is a useful quality and one that people should cultivate, but I draw the line well before saying it's a requirement for manhood. You could easily rephrase this as what helpful or handy men carry, and that would be more accurate. Or you could stop extrapolating and simply say this is what YOU carry. But somewhere along the line you've conflated your decisions into those that all "real men" should follow, and it makes you come across as both arrogant and clueless. I see some tongue-in-cheek here, like when you reject the kit you put together 10 months ago, but that's not necessarily enough to offset the heavy dose of misogyny baked into this vid. What makes a man? I'm pretty sure it's more what's in his soul than what's in his effete murse, especially when that murse has a frickin' $139 pen in it.
I definitely need to consider wire strippers
No respectable man walks around with all that shit unless your actually on a job. You get a multi tool, pocket knife that's it! Up 5o you if you wanna carry a gun. you transfer from your toolbox in your garage to your tool bucket what you need for the job or you keep it in your utilities truck' that's it dude, none of that fanny pack full of gimmick shit from Walmart shit grow up dude.
