Love your channel! Gaming tech and audiophiles are a great crossover, think there will be a lot of gamers wanting better audio that would like to hear your views and expertise
It's 4am but I also want to know how I can sonically elevate any future 4am's so I guess I'll be awake a little while longer.
Started watching at 4:30am too, what is this world coming to?
And now another 4am watcher joins the group!
That's a very well put together comment
That's ironic, I'm watching this video around the same time too. (3:55 am to be exact) I'm getting my set on the 30th. Looking forward to trying them out.
@Zachary Entenman This comment was so well phrased, it pleases my eyes
Really love the videos recently they have gotten vastly better
@DMS, I know you're a fan of the Bose QC 35 II, They are about to launch a gaming headset version of it! Can't wait for that review.
Just waiting for mine to arrive from Drop. I went all black rather than the yellow iteration. Thanks for the great content lad.
Yo DMS plays destiny?! Was not expecting that, recently starting watching you and I love destiny and play it all the time, and I’m glad he’s a fellow sniper not a shotgun ape
He uses a controller, on which sniping is easier than aping imo.
@@devondorr8212 doesn't matter - that's a Bungie problem not a DMS one.
@@LakerTriangle I know, I'm just saying I don't think that it isn't anything to be glad about. After all DMS isn't playing on a console where you have terrible fov making aping much easier on a hunter
Hey DMS! Great review, you convinced me to pick one of these up for gaming and they're great! Unfortunately I game next to my S.O and she doesn't appreciate the open back headphone when I game (should have though of that lol). What do you think is the best closed back gaming headphone? Or do you have any videos about closed back gaming headsets? Thanks a bunch!
Great review as always, could I ask where I could find that wall paneling?
Everytime I use these I am so impressed. I've also used DT990s and X2HRs etc but these are as good as it gets for gaming. I love it
Which one out of the 3 do you prefer?
@@tonywong1 I use my PC38x all day. I never used mics but I started using it this week for conference calls that I have. Not as good soundstage as the others but overall a very good headset. I don't see myself parting with this one any time soon.
Keep up the good work! Love it♥️
I'd love a video comparing the pc38x, the 599, the 58x, and the 560s!
I would love a comparison of these with the PG16 from Austrian Audio as it seems to com in at a similar pricing and might promise a similar performance with the background of the company (AKG).
Hey DMS, sorry for asking again, but I was wondering are you going to review (or do you currently have any thoughts on) the T60RP Argons, because you mentioned it somewhere on the T50 Argons back then and I've been curious since.
Love your videos bro
Agreed! I had a PC38X for a couple weeks and loved it! I've used an HD 599 SE for gaming and found it pretty much on par with the PC38X.
Which Is more comfortable?
already have the gsp 500 but decided to get these too as these look much more comfortable 😅
Great video, some constructive criticism, maybe directly compare them to some of the popular options for the item like the PC37X, and pleeease do a mic demo, it goes a long way, and even tho your description of the headset’s mic is fairly detailed, an actual demo will be better, keep up the great work.
I did compare to the 37X, and there was 2 mic demos in the video 😅 A couple people missed them also.
You should talk about eq some more as I’ve seen the soundstage can improve alot on these with eq
Is the a90 review coming soon? I want to see you use them with all three abyss headphones.. 😍
the banger intro song/ background music is Ealot - No Time for Mornings
I’m getting them. You’ve convinced me
Was expecting a direct comparison to the Beyerdynamic tygr 300r, the price difference can compensate for a mic mod but the real reason for this comparison was the high praise for the tygrs in regards to gaming and imaging, all of a sudden being replaced by the PC38X ("and all other gaming headsets will put you in a disadvantage"). Waiting for a direct comparison including a jack of all trades since it seems you prefer the tygr for music. Thanks!
He already did on the last. If it’s only for gaming...38X. If not than the Tyger will give you gaming but music as well
@@BrotherO4 I'll rephrase myself, I wanna know the differences between the two and what makes either better at what DMS mentioned. :)
Hey mate how would you compare these to the gaming and audio experience of a 58x? When they dropped they were supposed to be one of the best for directional sense in games. Assuming you can drive 150 ohms of course.
Also I think the K712s are really underrated, not sure if you've tested those before? Maybe you've done the K7XX but not sure how they compare to be honest. The K712 has a really good soundstage but I assume not HD800S level but from listening to oluv / clavinetjunkie's sound comparison between HD 800S and HE4XX I can't bear to listen to the 800S. It sounds way too strong in the mids and highs where it just sounds like a really loud phone speaker
These for games and the 560s for music. Stoked for them too be off preorder!!!
some sick snipes! Titan main? Good review thanks.
You absolutely have to get your hands on the Beyerdynamic MMX300 MkII closed-back gaming head set with mic for comparison. They are really really good, image well, have a surprisingly decent soundstage for closed back and have a nice bass slam when needed. Excellent mic. Really good all rounders, music too. I have few high end headphones and these are great in comparison. I'd love to hear your feedback on these v the PC38X
I hope to at some point! Good recommendation. Heard them at Z’s place a few times just gotta get a set here and find time to get it in the schedule.
Ah yes, enslaved random guy in the comments explaining feedback I needed.
@@ArkFisted What a strange thing to say. I'd really like to hear a comparison between the best open gaming headset and arguably the best closed. Please explain what is wrong with that?
@@Jamie-666 I meant to say, you said exactly what I wanted dms to do. To review the mmx300
@@ArkFisted Aw man, I'm sorry, I misunderstood. Apologies!!
I love it got the epos black version with the valour earpads and a mic cover with a upgraded longer wire and an astro mixamp my ps5 gaming is amazing
Would you recommend these over any other headphones for non competitive/single player gaming? If no, what would be your choice?
This without microphone would be so perfect! So im going with the HD560S, because i just dont need another headset with a microphone...
Can you please do a review on the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 ohm? I'm super curious on what you think about them.
Just got mine today!
Would love to see a review for those considering the PC38X vs the HD58X. While it sounds like they have a lot of differences and obviously target different tasks, they are both listed at approximately the same price on Drop and are at the top of the item list when you shop there. FWIW, I recently ordered the PC38X only to later cancel the order when looking into those kinda led me into the realm of better headphones and DACs and Amps. Ultimately I ended up buying the HD58X and a DAC and Amp. But I am predominately a gamer that wanted to experience some better audio. I'm not sure now if I would want to also order the PC38X or if the HD58X should serve me well enough.
The HD58X with a DAC and Amp will definitely serve you well. The big edge the PC38X has would probably be its soundstage, if its comparable to the HD800s like DMS says. The HD58X/660S has rather narrow soundstage, so it depends on how much you value that in your gaming.
Oh yea differences are minimal both are amazing for gaming. If u already have the 58x u dont need a 38x. While it is better its no by much so no need to waste money.
I just picked up the 58x and the Beyerdynamic DT 990s, for some reason the 58x just sound a little less clear and hurt my ears a bit more which I was actually expecting the opposite. I predominately game 80/20 versus media consumption.
@@DogBlessGeesus after a years use what are your thoughts? Curious I’m shopping now
@@jakeclark2697 I actually sent them both back. Ended up going a step up with the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros a little after. I then picked up some Sennheiser 660S headphones about 6 months ago. I love them both.
I use He-5xx for Forza, F1, and Halo Infinite. Just because the soundstage is crazy good.
I know this is a late comment but please consider checking out Hunt Showdown when testing out headphones for gaming! The directional sound design in that game is the best I've heard to date!
DMS's videos are really professional! On par with Joshua Valour
Destiny!! Now I know you and Josh play. And you play a good amount I see!

Same. I actually returned my pc38x and kept my 599s.
Can you do a review on the Audeze Mobius or Hyperx cloud orbits? They are planar 100mm
DMS, are you going to review the T60 Argons?
Thanks for the nice review. Is it possible to get a 2.5mm balanced cable for these? Also, did they not upgrade the drivers in this set as compared to the pc37x ?
Don’t know about the cable, but the drivers in these are updated. They are using the drivers that are in the gsp500, but tuned differently
I"d love to know how this compares to Beyerdynamic MMX300, that gaming one from LCD and maybe other higher-end "gaming" headphones.
Hey DMS, I'm curious. For somebody that does gaming/media consumption at around a 70/30% split would you recommend this headset over say the HD560S & amp + an external mic?
He said he does in the comparison vid uploaded right before this.
70% gaming? Sorry, I'd go with the PC38X... The mic is decent and everybody should copy Sennheiser as they did it right - move it up and it's muted. The volume control is extremely convenient and it does *not* suck for listening to music...
External mics are all shite tho, having some huge mic on a stand/arm is pure AIDS and modmics sounds like shit and are very expensive.
HD560s would be like my new k712pro and pc38x on qudelix 5k like my new set "on the go"
@@schmidth Even my C214 and SM7B…Actually even my SM58 DEMOLISHES all these tiny mics on headsets. Why don’t you go get one and try it out first? And yes, I do have a Mobius and the mic is still mediocre.
Great review! Curious if you can do a comparison with the tygrs. I know you said that the pc38x are superior for gaming but i’d like to know why in greater detail. If anyone else here has both please lemme know! Im currently using hd598
hows the comfort with the hd598 for long sessions? I have the 58x and its great but the cushions kinda annoying since they are stiff, dunno if that wears out with time tho.
@@drizzlydr4ke i have no problem using them for long sessions! The pads were stiff for me at first too but over time they became softer
have a Sennheiser PC38X. I have it hooked up to a UGREEN USB-C to 3,5mm jack. It sounds fine, but it doesn't get very loud. I want to add more volume to my headphones and use Dolby Atmos. I'd imagine that this will be more than adequate to give me more volume given the very low impediance (32 ohms) of my PC38X.
I wonder if I should buy a ModMic to pair with my old Sony 7506, or go for this PC38X? First option is cheaper and will give me a better mic quality as I understand.
Do note a few things: 1. These use new drivers over the pc37x which uses a hd500 series driver. This the PC38x uses the GSP500/600 driver. 2. These are labeled as being made and designed by Sennheiser communication A/S, which is now a new company under the name EPOS. Which makes sense as this is pretty much a gsp500 with a better housing. So it's say to say these are an EPOS headset with the Sennheiser branding.
Which headset is the best I was about to buy the cloud wired for 60 but found this
Having used both, I prefer the 560 s for gaming. The clean bass helps you sift through sounds to tell what's going on.
I've heard a professional player say the same thing, that the detail of the 560S helped them pay attention to multiple enemies surrounding them at the same time better than the pc38x
@@yosixxx I think I saw the same video. He also said that the imaging was better overall on the 560s. The PC38x looses some of its imaging when something is above or below you, but the 560s fixes all of that. I could be wrong tho.
Fresh reviews says the same. His main headphone is hd560s plugged to Mayflower arc or zen dac. At the end the 3 top contenders are HD800s, hamonicdine Zeus and hd560s and even with the "advantage" of hd800s he dont recommend paying that much, he as well had tygrs (awesome imaging for small maps) and k712pro (weird center imaging)
these are all obviously better guys, but this video is about a headset. Obviously, the quality would be worse to accommodate for the mic, but it offers convenience in not having to buy a mic. Obviously, it would also be better to just buy a separate headphone and mic, but still. This headset is still a leading contender in the best headsets, not headphones.
huge difference in price tho considering the pc38x all in can be bought around 130$ whereas the 560s is around 170$ + 70$ for a similar quality mic to the pc 38x + $$ for an amp/dac because these kinda need it unlike the pc38x. So might sound a bit better but 130$ compared to $300+ isnt worth it imo
GOD you play Destiny 2 really good LOL. Thanks for your detailed review about the PC38X, btw how well does these compares with HyperX range of headphones especially the Cloud 2 or Revolver?? they are quite hyped among the gaming community.
General rule is if your headset has the same brand logo as your mouse/keyboard, you should get a better headset x) But I owned the Cloud 2's at one point and can say it's good for a closed back for the price, but still falls short of similarly priced audiophile cans, I'd say Phillips SHP9500S have better imaging and ofc better soundstage for example. Atm one should put more currency into gaming-marketed audiophile brand headsets than full on gaming headsets and idk if that's ever gonna change.
These are miles better than any hyper x
Wait you dont play with 100% volume in windows? I actually noticed that modern (more console game centric) games are often more quiet compared to Half Life, Deus Ex and Serious Sam for example but I do not get the "is this game now on the correct volume" or "the horror game raised the volume to scare to 100%)
magnificent howl 😢
How do the PC38X compare to the SHP9500+V-Moda BoomPro?
I've been watching this channel for a bit but insta-subbed when I saw D2 gameplay
I’ve been thinking about making a D2 raid video for about 4 years now
@@DMS3TV I also instantly subbed when I saw the D2 gameplay. So I say go for it!
I have the hd58x’s, bears dt 990s, 1990 pros which I’m probably going to sell (not because I don’t rate them just will never use them the right way to appreciate them the most) and Logitech x g pro wired. Which of those would you recommend the most for gaming I mainly play FPS but some sports and open world games. I’m trying to narrow down my collections basically and move 1 or 2 on. I do also appreciate listening to some music occasionally through them but that’s very rare my main use is for gaming. Would really appreciate your expert opinion on them and finally is it actually worth picking the pc38x up I have the hd58x are they similar? Thanks
Great ending to my all nighter.
Yeah I use my PC38X headset paired with the EarStudio ES100 Amp/ DAC (improved greatly over onboard Asus Rog STRIX X670E-F) The PC38X is simply great in general for whatever you would use a headset for: Gaming, Music, Podcast, etc.. They especially shine in Gaming obviously - I mainly play Destiny 2 and just wow.. There's a reason the vast majority of reviewers rate the PC38X's the best gaming headphones, they aren't kidding. They excel outside of just "gaming" as well. I just wish they offered the PC38X without the mic for like $150 as I use a a SHURE SM7B for my mic, regardless at $180 all considered they are still a bargain.
What does the DAC do to improve it?
Thanks for the review! I ordered this headset and am hoping it will arrive by this weekend. It's the first open-back headset that I have ever tried. From everything I've watched and read, I am expecting to have a whole new listening experience compared to what I'm used to with all my past gaming closed-back headsets. One question: Are these going to be significantly better for my FPS games than my current headset? I currently use the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless and before that, I used the Astro A50 headset. I found the Arctis provided much better directional sound than my old A50. Since you mentioned in the video that you tried many of the Arctis headsets, I'm hoping that is one you have tried and can tell me what you think. Also, thanks for the comment about not needing an amp for these. I was planning to start off by just plugging them into my motherboard and wasn't sure if that would be the best idea. I was toying with getting a GSX 1000, but decided I should try my 2 year old Asus motherboard first before spending another $220 on the GSX 1000. Not sure if the difference will be worth $220. Thanks again and I just subscribed and look forward to checking out some of your other gaming-related videos.
Heya, I just ordered these myself earlier today, gonna be a while till they arrive but I'm super hyped. It'll be my first Sennheisers, and also my first open-back headphones I've ever used, too, so when you get yours I'd love to hear what you think - especially in comparison to traditional closed-back headphones. From the video, he makes it sound like these provide the greatest pinpoint sound precision of any headset he's used, and he mentioned using Astro A50's and several Steelseries headsets so I'd imagine the answer is yes.
@@tikho3795 Hi Tikho. I have had my headset for almost two weeks and I have spent most of that time testing and deciding whether or not I plan to keep the headset. Here is a short version of my findings and decisions in bullet form. If you want to see the longer version, you can go to the links below at the Drop site where I have posted my review and photos/findings in more detail. - I am keeping the headset. - I had to swap out the earpads because my ears are too big to comfortably fit into either of the stock ones. I tried four different third-party earpads and found one that I liked. - I tried two different external amps, in addition to my onboard sound and decided to keep the Sound Blaster X3 to power the headphones. - I noticed a difference in soundstage compared to my closed back headphones. Basically, the sound no longer feels like it's trapped in a large cardboard box around your head. - When you get them, search KZhead for some surround sound audio samples that you can try so you hear the difference between your A50s and the new ones. I want to get a headset doing the best at pubg mobile . i mainly gonna use it on my mobile . so is this pc38x is way better than the arctis pro ? , the sound qulaity , the sound volume , pinpointing enemies , how clear the footsteps are
@@kalamchat1351 I don't play pubg (mobile or otherwise) - I play Rainbow Six Siege, which also relies heavily on hearing footsteps and directional cues so you know where enemies are. in my opinion, the PC 38X is not "way better" than the Arctis Pro Wireless with regards to directional cues and the ability to hear footsteps. I think it IS better for those things, but not way better. It's better in the sense that because it's open-back, it sounds more open and possibly a little clearer or more natural. It's really only the fact that open-back headphones in general sound more spacious than closed-back. Another thing that was important for me was comfort - I found the Arctis to be quite uncomfortable because the headband has very limited adjustment - basically it was too small for me so I had to wear them with the band on top way forward on my head just so they would fit. The comfort of the PC 38X headset is far superior in my view because it has the traditional adjustment method on the headband and allows for AMPLE adjustment for any size head. One word of caution though - you have to ask yourself if you will have the ability to apply EQ settings to the PC 38X. In short, I think games like pubg benefit massively by applying an appropriate EQ to the sound so that things like footsteps will pop out of all the other sound. So, if you have the PC 38X headset plugged into your motherboard and have no way to apply any EQ settings, then I don't think they will sound better than the Arctis Pro Wireless. Remember that the Arctis has the ability to apply EQ settings to what you are listening to, so you have probably tuned the sound so that the footsteps and other sounds you want to hear are more audible than other things. If you just use "flat" settings with the PC 38X I don't think they will sound as good. I decided to also buy a Sound Blaster X3 to plug my PC 38X headset into for this exact reason - I wanted the ability to apply EQ settings to the headset so that I can hear the footsteps more clearly over the bass and explosions etc. Without my "game" EQ settings that I created I didn't think the PC 38X sounded better than my Arctis, except for the generally nicer open sound you get from open-back headphones. I hope that helps. If you want to see which DAC/AMPs I tried and my findings, you can see the links in my reply above for more detail.
great video
how's the comfort compared to the 600 shape series and 599/598 ? (for long sessions)
Hey, can you do a top 5 gaming headphone list? best sound + imaging + sound stage + which headphones would you pick if you went pro eSports?
The absolute best would be the HE-1 from Sennheiser. Other good options are the PC38X, TYGR, DT880, AD500X
The best headphones that are reasonably priced would be PC38x
I love that idea. Please make a video on the absolute best headphone if you went into esports!
I'm pretty sure Sennheiser designed their gaming headphones with eSports in mind because I've seen them sponsor LAN events for some competitive games. And as far as I can tell based off of reviews I've watched the HD800S are the benchmark when it comes to soundstage and imaging in headphones. PC38X are probably the best at an affordable price point.
Joshua Valour says HD800s then akg K712(now beaten by PC38X)
Did you change the hz settings on them for pc and if so what was it changed too default was 48000 24 bitz but I see it goes much higher what will give the best experience
Can you do a comparison between the tygr and 38x? (Because you previously said the tygr was the best gaming headphone) and also the 37x vs 38x to see if it's worth an upgrade for someone who has the 37x?
He already said this is better for purely gaming and performance. Aka competitive gaming. Also he never said the Tyger was the best gaming headphone.
what do you think of the meze 99 noir for gaming and music?
Really wish these were available in South Africa, well all the drop type things, no 6xx 58x Sennheiser or anything without importing and just hate the import costs and warranty issues (because as good as these products are, honestly speaking there is always a dud somewhere and I usually get them :P)

Good review, cable tangles because you are winding it wrong. Loop then Reverse Loop is your friend....
So if you own the pc37x is it Necessary to upgrade and what are the benefits between the two?
How does the pc38x stack up with pc37x for solely fps footsteps?
Hi Dms, having a hard time deciding between this and the hd6xx. I do have an external mic and play a lot of games and listen to different genres of music as well. Currently running a hd450 bluetooth and find the immersion lacking.
PC38X
If I play mainly single player games and want a headset for immersion and in-game music, while still being decent competitive wise when I play with friends. Tygr or Pc38x?
WhT did you go with? I was thinking of getting sundara for this
You think it could be a good pair with a Sound Blaster G3 on the PS5 ?
Apologies @DMS for yet another post, but I was wondering what you thought about a good budget DAC/amp to use with the 38x for strictly gaming?
I use the qudelix 5k since it supports in line mic on usb mode and since it doesn't need a lot of power is as good or even better than fulla 4
I heard hardwarecanucks mentioned something about that this headphone is similar sounding to the sennheiser HD56X is it true?
Did you run this off your topping amp or were you always hooked directly to your pc during testing?
Man I JUST bought some 58X, DT990 Pros, and 6XXs with a FiiO DAC/AMP (going to return 2 of the 3 once I test drive them). Still waiting on the 6XXs to arrive but now I feel like I've made a mistake. I do have a standalone mic and like having good music quality too.
You bought it knowing you're going to return them?
@@erelpc Yes, this is very common as headphone preference is always subjective and you have to try them out to see what works best for you. Wasn't sure which ones I was going to return but after trying them out I know.
@@DogBlessGeesus I guess that's another reason they cost so much, with the high return rate. They can't sell it as new so it basically ends up as waste.

I saw in Badseedtech he said they are pretty similar to HD58x, haven’t seen anyone else say that though
I still have a Game One, and I wish it had better music quality and it's a bit uncomfortable for longer sessions. Is this considerably better in sound quality and comfort than that?
Same tight clamp force. More bass than game ones. More fun sounding.
DMS, it seems like you really like this headset! Would you recommend it over the HD58X, HD6XX, and the BeyerDynamics DT 990?
I own the 58X, and literally just bought at this very moment these PC38X on drop.. So that should say something. The 58X are great.. But I have a feeling these PC38X will have some more bass and probably better sound stage that is wider than 58X that is similar to 660's that are narrow. I also like them with a Mic since I miss that using the 58X and don't want to mess with some Antlion mic that cost 2/3 rds of the price of a brand new PC38X..

@@gabe8905 A more narrow soundstage on the 58X I would say.. I use DAC with surround sound like GSX1000 so it obviously "color" the sound I hear with it's processing so it's hard to say. But the PC38X definitely have a wider soundstage. A little more bass, but that can also be modded with ear pads.
@@loki76 Thing is I heard the PC38X has a similar sound as 58X but wider soundstage, just wanted to confirm with someone that tried both.I ordered the DT 990 and the HD560S to test as I do want my headphones for gaming as well as for music. I may keep one of the above for gaming and grab the Sundaras for music. Thoughts?
Man, I miss the Revoker. :(
I'm not sure how you recorded the gameplay but even though you have 1080p and vp9 codec it looks really blurry. The camera footage though is sharp
Just OBS. The camera is 6K downscaled to 4K but the gameplay is 1080. Back to back it’s not flattering for the gameplay footage lol.
@@DMS3TV hey I didn't expect a reply honestly! Thanks for answering in such detail but yeah I think maybe you recorded at a lower bitrate, recommend like 8000-10000 on OBS for recordings but also can help to add a touch of sharpen in post as well and also those of us smaller channels have to upscale the entire 1080p comp to 1440p or higher to get the vp9 codec, bigger channels get vp9 on 1080p nvidia shadowplay can do much higher quality as well with very little performance hit using your GPU. I record at the default 50mbps but you can crank it as high as 150 but it uses a lot more storage
Oh man so is imaging more accurate on these than the HD800S in games? Or how about the Beyerdynamic T1 1st and 2nd gen?
Nope. In the video I said it’s 2nd to the HD800S for gaming.
Are any other good alternatives when you talk about the sound stage to the PC38X?
PC37X? Though the PC38X is probably better. The HD 560S headphone (no mic) will have a similar width soundstage as the PC38X, but it’s leaner sound signature and higher dampening ability should cut down on masking and distortion and result in a better perception of sound stage distance and depth. Other headphones with a similar lean sound signature will focus on those details too, but headphones that combine that with the angled drivers in the HD 560S and PC38X are rare. Angled drivers cause the sound to interact with our ears a bit before going into our ear canal, which gives our brains a bit more spacial information as well. And of course, the headphone’s driver (speaker) ability to resolve little details makes a big difference in the information our brains use to understand soundstage. Any closed gaming headset or headphone will have a smaller and more compressed soundstage than the PC38X, unless you’re constantly competing with background noise in your environment (IE traffic, lawn mowers, people talking, etc). The PC38X is going to have a pretty darn top soundstage size among your options below the really expensive, high end stuff. It has a lot of stuff going for it in that department.
The akg 700 series, like k712 pro
HE 400i 2020 review?
Nice review as always, but a little bit of feedback/critique: In your top down shots of the headset, the camera seems to re-focus if your hands come closer towards the lens, making the rest of the items in sight slightly mushy, look at the "zoom" letters up left for example. I reckon this is probably something you have deliberated on already and decided it's still the best way for other reasons but I wanted to still bring it up, constructive criticism is never bad
what headphones would sound the most like the pc38x but without a microphone attached?
I know this is late, but I’m really debating on the PC38x vs the hd 560s. I got the h6 Pro open back but they’re too heavy on bass and not great after a while. I play mainly fps but I’m also going to get into podcasting. Both are great for gaming and music, I’ve heard the hd 560s are better overall but the PC38x are better at imaging.
What did you end up getting and what would you suggest I get as a hardcore gamer who loves his audio
What did you end up buying? Im jn the same situation
@@arilaze530 hd599s, they’ve been amazing, best purchase I’ve made
I know this is late but for my ears I found hd560s better at imaging. PC38X has better oomph for bass so I EQ the bass down for gaming in competitive fps and use a flat EQ for singleplayer games and movies where the oomph matters.
What would be a headset that is just as good as the pc38x for gaming but also great for music?
Hey guys I am quickly falling into the audiophile rabbithole! I have a quick question I would GREATLY appreciate ANY solid advice on. So, I'm totally new to DACs/AMPs; I just bought the Sennheiser PC38x headset and I find them too quiet. Would an amp like this boost the sound significantly? I love the sound imaging/soundstage I just need MORE VOLUME!!
Yes it would
Bought them. Don't sound quite as good as my HyperX/Audeze Cloud Orbit S's......but they are MUCH more comfortable. HyperX or Audeze need to come out with a better ear pad option than just the leather and they'd be tough to beat for gaming.
you can get brainwavz pads for hyperx
@@RathOX .....I contacted Brainwavze and they had no idea of anything they had would work.
@@Shecki603 thats a shame, Full PU does suck sadly. If they had was Velore pads for the Orbits like my 6XX it would be 👌🏻
