How would you know how thick the plaster board is?
If my drywall is 1/2" thick, how many screw driver rotations does it take to secure the anchor to the wall? I felt as at 22nd rotation it was already hard to rotate the screw driver but I was not sure if I actually achieved the right tightness. How to know when to stop?
My mother just moved into a mobile home with paneling on some walls the older mobile home paneling what do you suggest is the best anchor we are struggling with what kind of anchor to use we've used a couple of different ones and they all seem to just pull out we've tried plastic hollow wall anchors and the ones that are used in this video and not having much luck everything seems to just pull out except for those monkey hooks those seem to be working good what do you suggest for hanging curtain rods Honey's types of walls
Seeing what happened behind the wall is so helpful
Thanks. God Bless your work. Very helpful.
Thanks for the helpful video. Much appreciated.
Thank you. Just what I needed.
Very helpful! Exactly what we needed to finish our weekend project at home! 🖼
The teeth didnt quite fit into the dry wall as it tore it a bit when i rotated hard. So now it is bit loose from the front. Will that be problem if I hang a heavy mirror for example?
Will these hold up kitchen wall units?
Do you think I can use this to replace smoke alarm anchors?
Nice and simple - - - - Thanks
can you then back off the screw a bit in case you wanted the screw to stick out a bit so you could hang something on it? Thank you.
Great video, Thank you.
Learned something new, thanks!
Glad we could help!! Thank you for watching! Andy
Thanks!
Thank you
The small, thin washer that is supplied with the wall fixing. Does this washer fit between the item being installed and the wall fixing or between the bolt head and the item being installed?
Hello John how are you doing today. Hope you have a nice weekend 😊
What do you do if you need to hang something from one of these? Can you back the screw out a bit or will the back grip loosen again?
Yes or just let it peak out a bit
Thanks
Excellent 👍
Thank you!
If I used this to hang a mirror on the wall, would I have to unscrew the main screw slightly so it sticks back out again? Does that undo the tightening behind the wall if you unscrew?
Just unscrew slightly! It will not loosen the back!

Should I use these to hang my curtain rods???
Great question! It’ll ultimately depend heaviness of the rod & wall condition. Most shower rods are ok with the plastic wall anchors, I don’t see why these wouldn’t work. Just be sure to get the correct size for the wall thickness. (We won’t be able to answer this 100% without seeing the application). Thank you for your comment!
What if screw never gets tight in the anchor? Just keeps spinning??
Sounds like it might not be reaching the nut to collapse the drywall anchor or it might be stripped. Thanks for watching
I have the same problem & wonder how 2 of them brand new out of the package could be stripped bc they are definitely reaching but just spin. Worthless & so frustrating!
You need a tool to set the anchor. Once set, these anchors can’t be beat!! But, they are permanent
I am having the same problem. The screw will not reverse out of the anchor. HOW CANNI REMOVE THE SCREW???
same problem here and I can't find the answer anywhere! @@canapop
Why do manufacturers say to use the tool to squeeze the anchor against drywall if you only have a bolt to tighten them? Must be a reason for this tool?
If you want to buy the additional tool, have at it. This is a very common method that works.
Not how to do it! Total Fail sorry but they should be set with a setting tool first.
Just read by not using setting tool the anchor can spin while tightened, this keeps its spikes from sitting in your drywall allowing your anchor to wollow inside the hole. No man likes a loose hole...lol
False tutorial. Should fasten the bolt to drywall using special pliers not by screwing..
That's one way to do it.
Thank you
Thank you
No, thank you!!
