For the musicians out there check this: The FIRST and LAST "Yeah", the vocal from top to bottom is 1, 6, 5, or 'Do' on top, and La and So under that..IE. No one is singing 'Mi', the 3rd (B) ..It's vocally G, E, D only !! That's what gives it that tight modern sound... "yeah, yeah, yeah, >> YEAH

I feel that this is just as good a song as "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "PLease Please me"...even though the latter is probably my favorite of the Beatles songs from 1963 and early 1964. Great tunes, great harmony vocals. '

Insane pop music radio plays? Where precisely? Maybe in the US the following year but here in the UK the only station that would conceivably play this in 1963 would have been the BBC's Light Programme. Perhaps the odd play once or twice a week. The only alternative was Radio Luxembourg's, crackling, phasing signal late at night. They might have played it but the household radio was more likely to be the unit in the living room that would have required Dad's help to get going what with warming up the valves.

@@darylburnet8328 You should have seen them just before the Beatlemania started in. Like summer `62 through to the Fall. Just after Ringo joined up they played incredible shows. Long shows, with many dozens of obscure songs, and with greater intensity and energy than during the Beatlemania era. All without the screaming teeny boppers. Listen to the show they played Fall of `62 in Hamburg. Its the only remaining taste of it still around.

A very clean "spectral stereo" version of this song. So, we can say "good bye" to the analogue one created from mix "Sie Liebt Dich" and the original mono version... excellent by the way.

The mix using Sie Liebt Dich sounded like crap. SLD’s instrumental track went out of synch w/the original SLY recording, esp. towards the end. This one is better, but there’s some digital processing artifacts, if you listen closely.

It’s definitely better than the mono version. But the mix is still ehh... just like most songs on please please me the instruments are way to quiet and the compressing sounds horrible . The overall recording sounds really dated sadly, which I can’t say about they’re other albums/ music. This just sounds too lofi, a little more modern mix would do wonders for this song.

i grew up in the 1970's having first heard the original stereo mixes in most cases and not minding at all, i've heard that the original intent for most early Beatles' releases were mono - many prefer the mono, but i've always enjoyed the stereo despite the hard left-right panning - because the drastic separation makes it easy to hear what they were actually doing musically this sounds fantastic as well - though not the original "fake" stereo (i understand that the early stereo mixes were merely 2 tracks hard panned left/right that were intended for mono mixes signed off on by the Beatles themselves & released without their input)

Except the twin track original master for this single has mysteriously vanished, so we never got to hear this song the way the rest of their early material was heard. I think this is a fantastic mix of the song.

@@njiuma It’s one of those things that we will probably never know. Some people think the tapes were wiped, a common practice at that time. Some think they were thrown out, also common. Some think someone took them and others think they got lost in transit. But what’s also strange is that the records of the recording are also gone.

A very clean "spectral stereo" version of this song. So, we can say "good bye" to the analogue one created from mix "Sie Liebt Dich" and the original mono version... excellent by the way.
The mix using Sie Liebt Dich sounded like crap. SLD’s instrumental track went out of synch w/the original SLY recording, esp. towards the end. This one is better, but there’s some digital processing artifacts, if you listen closely.

This mix is incredible. Sounds great and no mash up with the German backing track. Also has the right stereo balance that they could have had on their early records. Kudos!!! This should be officially released!
It’s definitely better than the mono version. But the mix is still ehh... just like most songs on please please me the instruments are way to quiet and the compressing sounds horrible . The overall recording sounds really dated sadly, which I can’t say about they’re other albums/ music. This just sounds too lofi, a little more modern mix would do wonders for this song.
Remember the original was recorded on EMI's 1950's technology ...

Almost 60 years ago. I was 7.
i grew up in the 1970's having first heard the original stereo mixes in most cases and not minding at all, i've heard that the original intent for most early Beatles' releases were mono - many prefer the mono, but i've always enjoyed the stereo despite the hard left-right panning - because the drastic separation makes it easy to hear what they were actually doing musically this sounds fantastic as well - though not the original "fake" stereo (i understand that the early stereo mixes were merely 2 tracks hard panned left/right that were intended for mono mixes signed off on by the Beatles themselves & released without their input)
Except the twin track original master for this single has mysteriously vanished, so we never got to hear this song the way the rest of their early material was heard. I think this is a fantastic mix of the song.

@@njiuma It’s one of those things that we will probably never know. Some people think the tapes were wiped, a common practice at that time. Some think they were thrown out, also common. Some think someone took them and others think they got lost in transit. But what’s also strange is that the records of the recording are also gone.
