  • Big boats can stuff it, i was on the USS Ranger in a Typhoon and it stuffed the flight deck, surf came across the flight deck and washed 3 well tied down aircraft off the fan tail. Out of a 5000 man crew only a few of us on the Bridge saw that, some didn't even know we were under water. I just like to remember that, 1966 i think, my heart still picks up speed a little.

  • Lucky they still have a windshield???? Lucky they still have a boat! It's always fun to watch these big CC fly off the top of the swells in a following sea, but honestly that's not how it's done. Stay on the backside of the swell and ride it in and adjust your power accordingly. You'd never see this type of carelessness at the Oregon inlet or Hatteras. Amazing we don't see many boats here broaching or pitch poling! But then again we wouldn't want to watch a bunch of Capts. doing it right and coming in slowly - that wouldn't be entertaining!!! Keep up the great work and videos coming!!!

  • 1:39 Believing that such a boat has automatic pumps, what would be the drain capacity per minute of this boat's pumps?

    @hugomachado1397@hugomachado13973 жыл бұрын
    • The boat is probably self draining on the deck the time to drain would be limited by the drain hole(s) size. Bilge pumps are usually 1000-1500 gph pumps so if they 2 bilge pumps would clear that much water in a few minutes.
