You know you're broken when your tears won't fall. The only positive side is that I feel less depressed because I'm trying to focus on myself since the breakup : I got my driving license at first try one week ago, I'm about to do my first tattoo, I'm getting back on track very slowly about bodybuilding and finally at the beginning of September I will try to get back to university. Time is slowly doing the things but those who say that time heals aren't right. The pain and the betrayal will never fade away no matter how many years go by. You just learned to accept it and unfortunately during the process you realize that you've changed in a bad way.

To be honest, I've never been a religious person but recently I tried to pray without even believing that there are some gods somewhere, surprisingly I felt some kind of relief. Ironically I started to pray without any valid reason and just 2 days after, I found out by myself that she cheated. Looks like something or someone opened my eyes. Idk if it's some kind of magic of gods if there's any or it was only a coincidence. But whatever reason behind it I just want to be happy again, which I can't really be since I'm not able to feel anything. But I'm truly thankful that there are people like you that are willing to help others with kind words even if we might not be living on the same continents.
My first real relationship ended a few months ago, after being 7 years together. I honestly thought we were going to grow old together, and it felt like someone died when he left me. He was the only person who really got me, and who I could be comfortable with. And then he suddenly says he doesn’t love me anymore, and hasn’t for some time. I dropped out of my education simply because I hardly got out of bed for a month, and maybe ate every 2 or 3 days, because I couldn’t be bothered to eat. I once went over a week without eating anything at all. People started to get worried and started to come by and knock on the door. I never answered. I didn’t read emails or answer texts or phone calls. Eventually I had to get out of bed, because I had to take on debt to pay my bills. It helped going to work again, but it still feels like I lost a part of myself.

@@meganod279 There are lots of reasons people break up without any wrongdoing. In my situation, my ex wasn't in a good mental state for a relationship and had commitment issues. I also know people who break up when things get serious and they realize there are sacrifices for their families that they are not willing to make, or that they have different values, even though they still love each other very much. My breakup was amicable and for that reason, it hurt a lot.
@@meganod279 sometimes you fall out of love, and you feel like you are living a lie/leading them on even though you still deeply care for them. Sometimes love is all you have in common, and yall are incompatible for reasons outside of your control (e.g. principles/future plans don't align, maturity levels, etc.). No hate here, but there are many possibilities to consider.

Yeah , I had to leave him I broke it off even though he meant everything to me . He was making me sad because of someone else . I haven't talked to him in 2 weeks , we would talk everyday. He got me through a lot but I think my mindset is better now . Yes I will always miss him , and I'm glad I was able to put myself over him. My worst breakup was with a guy who had 2 kids. I loved those kids like they were my own, helped raise them for years. We'd discussed what would happen if we ever broke up, and there was a mutual understanding and agreement that I could still be a part of their lives. When we did break up, he changed his mind. Refused to let me speak to them, but would tell me how much they talked about me and that they were asking where I was and he really manipulated me emotionally. It was devastating and heartbreaking and required a LOT of therapy. I haven't been in a relationship since, and this was in 2019. I've dated, but I'm just so guarded and hesitant. I don't think I could date somebody with kids ever again.

I am watching this because I am currently going through a break up. I laugh at work to keep up my "always happy personality", but as soon as I get home I break down. All I do is think about her. I am fighting with myself not to call her because it's selfish to hold someone back who no longer wants you. I Really appreciate the People that felt bad about it. Sometimes it's hard to just initiate the breakup, especially if it was a healthy Relationship and you just feel guilty afterwards.
My worst breakup was when my first love and I were having to do a temporary long distance thing because of some financial and work issues. I was sending money back to him while setting up our new home in another state and getting things in order. It turned out he was using the money I was sending to help him to finance a relationship with someone else. He waited until I travelled 1000 miles back to pack him up and move him to tell me he wasn't going to be moving and that he had fallen in love with someone else. He tried to claim he waited to tell me because he thought I deserved to hear it in person but I know the real reason was that he wanted to keep our dog and he knew I'd be bringing him with me for the trip. He was truly a narcissist of the highest order. I was so mad at myself for a long time after because I didn't understand how I could have missed/ignored all the warning signs that were so obvious looking back. Even within the first couple months of our relationship, there were red flags. Moral of the story is to trust your gut and protect your heart because nobody else can!

I've only been in one relationship but the ending and the aftermath was pretty rough. We spent a few months just trying to deny the obvious point that our relationship was ending. We were in a long distance relationship when we both knew somewhere that that couldn't work. She started to like someone she could see in person and there was nothing I could do no matter how much I wanted to. I couldn't drive at this time and even now I don't have my own car. But then a few months afterwards she told me that she had immediately gotten together with the other dude. That just made me snap and I reacted too harshly and we almost never talked again but I begged her for forgiveness and were friends now. It was by far the worst point in my life due to just how it just invaded my head at every moment for over a month and lingered for several more.
