How to Build a Modern 5 Drawer Dresser

Watch me build this gorgeous modern 5 drawer dresser! I built this dresser to match the bed and nightstands I build a couple years ago. I never completed the set with the DIY dresser, so I decided now was a good time to build it.
This dresser was made from rough sawn poplar and has a clean line and simple modern feel. It was assembled with easy pocket hole and dowel joinery.

    • Shara Woodshop Diaries I do too but not as much as I used to. Went through a rainbow poplar obsession phase for about a year. Just long enough to see all those purples, deep greens and reds turn to a muted brown, walnut hue. How long did you have to leave the piece in the sun to get it like that?

  • Impressive , you make it look so easy unlike so many others of the elite woodworkers that are so full of themsevles that I have to mute many ...not you tho. The rubber boots are a first and really not a bad way to go especially for messy glue and stain ect. appliers' like myself. Keep up the good work!!

  • Ma'am about that top on your dresser the dresser is your design If you say glue it on then gluing the top is the correct way to attach top Btw I really like your build it's not too flashy but doesn't have the average run of the mill industrial look either Thank you for sharing this build with us
