In this video, I'm sharing part 3 of the matching mid-century modern bedroom furniture series with a second option for a modern dresser!
This time, instead of being all drawers, I added doors to mix things up!

    • Thank you so much for your support and your kind words! I really appreciate that! I agree with you 100%…so many people over complicate and overfill their shops with unnecessary equipment. If that’s what you’re into, go for it! But if you just want to build something simple, there’s no need to make it harder than it should be.

  • Shara, outstanding project here. Love the door design! The mix of mid- century style with modern (POP-Design) is a nice touch. An WOW I should see the engineering side coming through on the Cadd software ...you go girl!

  • Absolutely love the design on the doors! That Cricut machine could open a whole new world for me. Thanks for showing us how easy it is to use. Take care.

  • Stencils and stains? And no problems with bleed through? It's a really great effect. I really enjoyed this build. Thanks Shara!

    • Sanding it with 400 grit before staining and making sure the stencil was pressed down really well did help quite a bit on the second door. I’m honestly impressed with how well it turned out. So glad you enjoyed!

  • That is one very cool piece! I really like that door design, but I also really hope I never have a client want something that will require me to buy a cricut. My shops so full already lol.

    • Haha I understand not wanting to make room for more equipment. Good news about the Cricut joy is that is super small so it takes up little space. That’s actually why I prefer it over the bigger machines 😅

  • Very creative door design! I really like the maple plywood now that I’ve seen you use it. Like you, I’ve normally used birch. I’m not sure how you can improve this dresser design and build! But, I know you’ll find a way! Lol…. Hope you’ve had a great weekend and keep on building!

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! I really enjoyed building this project. I’m hoping to get back to working with birch again soon 😂 I like maple, but I still prefer the color and character of birch better. Maybe I’m just stuck in my ways 😂 anyway, thanks so much for watching and I hope you have a great weekend as well!

  • It looks beautiful, great design, and well executed. I would probably add a backer on the drawer section too, just to stop dust getting in the drawers, but other than that, it's pretty perfect!

    @E4mj@E4mj2 жыл бұрын
    • Thank you! You’re welcome to add that! I prefer to leave drawer sections open in case of jams, future adjustments, and easier access if something gets stuck. In this case, I wanted the shelf at the top open as well to match the nightstand. But to each their own 👍
