This video was sponsored by Cricut. #cricutmade
In this video, I'm sharing part 3 of the matching mid-century modern bedroom furniture series with a second option for a modern dresser!
This time, instead of being all drawers, I added doors to mix things up!

quote "If you enjoyed this build". Are you kidding? This was fantastic. Enjoyed every minute. It was like you took some basic concepts seen on previous videos and massaged the work together for a fantastic end result. This door thing is out of this world. Love it. Thanks for sharing!

Nice legs! 👍🏻 Such a simple design!
I like to keep things simple haha. So glad you like the design!
@@WoodshopDiaries You've given me the confidence to try attempt to make a sideboard like that, thank you!
Thanks for showing the whole vynyl stenciling/staining technique with the Cricut. I never would have thought of that. Thanks for posting and thumbs up!
I hope that it was helpful!! I truly thought it would be harder than it was and it actually wasn’t bad once I got started. I will definitely try it again on something else! Anyway, thanks so much for watching! 💕
Another awesome build!
Thanks so much!
Such a lovely design
Thanks so much!
I love you from México 🇲🇽

I think this is one of the best pieces of furniture you have made to date. The stencil design really sets off the whole piece. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.

Hi! Thanks so much for watching!
C'est très joli comme d'habitude bravo à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Thank you so much!
Great project. Leaving the top section open, makes it a better match with the nightstands. They have the matching open section.
That was my thought too! Great minds think alike! 😉😂
Great Job Shara!
Thanks so much!
it also feels like a TV stand
Could definitely be used for one 👍
Looks great!
Thank you!!

Very cool. Great solution with the small vinyl cutter.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed!
It never ceases to amaze me,there are 13K+ views, and only 1K likes…..
I’m always amazed both good and bad 😂 so are you amazed as in you feel it should be more or less?
@@WoodshopDiaries With that many views there should be more votes in total. Now, my opinion, it would and should be more thumbs up.
Oh yeah a very small percentage of people actually engage enough to click 🤷♀️ but I’m grateful for those who do!
Nice work on the mid century dresser Shara! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP

I loved seeing the process for using the cricut and how the vinyl was used on the door!
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for posting! Never considered a Cricut for woodworking but now it's given me pause for thought for my own cabinet design which is being planned as mid-century modern. I've saved this video for future reference when I get to the final design and build stage.
So glad you enjoyed the video! The Cricut is really handy to have for adding details to projects. Definitely not a bad investment if you like customizations. Happy Building!
Bother beautiful build.
Thanks so much!
Thank you, I liked the work. Greetings from Saudi Arabia
So glad you enjoyed!
Good works !! congratulations
Thanks so much!
just bought some plans from you, honestly probably wont every use them but wanted to support your awesome channel. Your no-nonsense simple approach is so refreshing, too many people think you need 50k in specialty equipment to make what is basically a box.
Thank you so much for your support and your kind words! I really appreciate that! I agree with you 100%…so many people over complicate and overfill their shops with unnecessary equipment. If that’s what you’re into, go for it! But if you just want to build something simple, there’s no need to make it harder than it should be.
You definitely have an eye for design. Awesome work
Gorgeous, I’m going to try to do this one, love it. You do such nice wood pieces.
Great job, amazing results!!!
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
That pattern is 😍😍😍😍.
Thanks so much girl friend!
I have never heard of that machine, super cool!!! I can't wait for price of plywood to go back down to get building again.
It’s really handy for simple and easy customizations! Hopefully someday the wood prices will creep back down
Аwesome! Hypnotizing doors!
Thank you! 😎😎
I would probably use something like this as a home entertainment center.
It would make an excellent TV stand!
Very nice design and addition to the series. I would keep that too!
I actually think it may be going into my moms guest bedroom 😩 but ill eventually be stealing it back I’m sure 😉😁😁
Looks great! I knew this was going to be a great series. Thanks for sharing.
I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed it so far! I appreciate you watching!
awesome finish .. Cricut is amazing .. i worked on it for 2 years really amazing cuts ..
I agree! They are such handy machines to have for adding designs, details, and customizations!
Soooo cool!!!

Great build! I can see lots of different ways to finish the doors with other designs and/or decorative trim. Very versatile!
Yes, I have so many ideas to try with this same technique in the future! 🙌😎 so glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice stenciled doors.. I am sure I will try it one day..
Happy building!! 😁😁
Beautiful design..
Thank you 👍
I loved the technique and the design on the doors. Was waiting for the contrast but you did one better. Great job as usual and thanks for sharing.
So glad you liked it! I know you wanted to see some color variation between the matching pieces 😉 thanks so much for following along and for watching! I appreciate it!
Awesome work Shara. This came up really nice. Well done! Looking forward to your next build. Keep up the awesome work 😀👍
So glad you enjoyed it! I hope you enjoy the next part of the series as well!
I love your channel! I wish I had the space and tools now to start doing things! My grandfather was woodworker (carpenter...? Ebanista, in Spanish) but I was too young when he passed so I couldn't learn much from him. How inspiring you are!
I love how you can make plywood so beautiful. Very Creative!
I love working with plywood! Thanks so much for watching!
Your woodworking skills are awsome! Great build!
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Ms. Shara u should actually teach a class. I feel this pace is too fast for me. I truly admire all the work u do! Do u have any videos that are for beginners. I discovered u not too long ago and I'm all over the place right now. I live in a small space and would love to create pieces that are functional and beautiful. Thank you so much for the information you give us!
Absolutely amazing work. And now my new favorite woodworking channel.
You’re so kind. Thank you!!
Wow pretty asome thanks for you videos liked

Thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked the design! I appreciate you watching!

Thanks a lot it's a complex design but you make it so simple for us
It is definitely simple if you just take it one step at a time! 😊 thanks for watching!

Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed it!
Hermoso trabajo!!!
Thank you so much!
Wonderful job! I like the lovely way that you do these works! Congratulations! Its inspire me!
That's great to hear! Thanks so much for watching!
Shara, outstanding project here. Love the door design! The mix of mid- century style with modern (POP-Design) is a nice touch. An WOW I should see the engineering side coming through on the Cadd software ...you go girl!
So glad you enjoyed the project! And the doors! 😉 haha I do love using my engineering background when I can 😅
Absolutely love the design on the doors! That Cricut machine could open a whole new world for me. Thanks for showing us how easy it is to use. Take care.
It really is handy to have for some cool details. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!
Amazing work, Shara! Really beautiful piece! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks so much! Have a great weekend!
Stencils and stains? And no problems with bleed through? It's a really great effect. I really enjoyed this build. Thanks Shara!
Sanding it with 400 grit before staining and making sure the stencil was pressed down really well did help quite a bit on the second door. I’m honestly impressed with how well it turned out. So glad you enjoyed!
this is fascinating !!!!!! you taught me something new today, thank you so much, greetings from mexico !!!!!!
That’s great to hear! So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic
Thank you 👍
Awesome build! Looks much more better than the one I designed and currently building out of cherry for my restroom.
I’m sure yours looks amazing! I love the color of cherry 😍 happy building!
That’s dope!
Thank you!!
That is one very cool piece! I really like that door design, but I also really hope I never have a client want something that will require me to buy a cricut. My shops so full already lol.
Haha I understand not wanting to make room for more equipment. Good news about the Cricut joy is that is super small so it takes up little space. That’s actually why I prefer it over the bigger machines 😅
Very creative door design! I really like the maple plywood now that I’ve seen you use it. Like you, I’ve normally used birch. I’m not sure how you can improve this dresser design and build! But, I know you’ll find a way! Lol…. Hope you’ve had a great weekend and keep on building!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really enjoyed building this project. I’m hoping to get back to working with birch again soon 😂 I like maple, but I still prefer the color and character of birch better. Maybe I’m just stuck in my ways 😂 anyway, thanks so much for watching and I hope you have a great weekend as well!
hi! very smart pattern and technique for the doors, thanks for share, (sorry for my english) greatings from Argentina...
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you liked it!
Maravilloso
Thanks so much!
Jolie travail, bravos ...
Thank you!
Great build and video! Really enjoyed watching your creative process, very clever! Thanks for posting, always enjoy your videos :^)
I’m so glad to hear it! Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate it!
Hello, beautiful design, I liked it a lot, you explain very well, congratulations, excellent weekend. Cheers.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
It looks beautiful, great design, and well executed. I would probably add a backer on the drawer section too, just to stop dust getting in the drawers, but other than that, it's pretty perfect!
Thank you! You’re welcome to add that! I prefer to leave drawer sections open in case of jams, future adjustments, and easier access if something gets stuck. In this case, I wanted the shelf at the top open as well to match the nightstand. But to each their own 👍
