Together with Minipansar.nu, I visited Borås Miniature Steam Locomotive Society on their open to public-day in late July. The members in BMÅS builds and drives (and rides!) steam locomotives and trains in 1/8 scale. The size of the trains are huge, and the level of details on the builds are just increadible. We had a great time and I also got to test the Strv 105/Centurion a lot in harder terrain, which it handled pretty great and nothing broke!
Loved the Viggen reference at the start
Funniest part to make, almost. 😎
Very beautiful!!! The vehicles - fantastic!!! Thank you for showing us! Greetings from Munich Uli
Thank you and thanks for watching! 🇩🇪
Love the Saab intro, brilliantly done! 🤣👍
Thanks! That was pure fun to make! 😁😁😁
OMG! Those miniture steam engines are amazing pulling those cars with all the people.
Yeah, those are so cool! Awesome place and really great builders.
Thanks for sharing Erik, for those of us who couldn't be there.
Sure thing, mate!
Det är hur kul som helst att titta på dina filmer, kanon bra film igen
Så bra, tack för en härlig dag! 😁

Thanks a lot for watching and for the kind comment!
Great day out, and I love the intro!
That's awesome, thanks for watching!
When you gonna do more build vids? Love those! Big help.
As soon as I finish the 105, there will be a new build video. 🙂
This whole place is a Disneyland equivalent for any Hobbyist. Everything looks so much fun
Haha, you are absolutely right! Great place!
That two hand- wire guided gun type controller looks cool 🥰
Haha, right? He is using electric screw driver motors to drive the model without having to start the gas turbine, but he also saved the battery, body and handle of the screw drivers to be able to move the model without having to start the radio and use the battery in the model!
bro took the fact that saab also makes planes to a whole new level.
Thanks, man. 😁 Love my 9-3.
Absolutely love this channel now you are doing a better and better job wish we had events like that in the states
Thanks a lot, and thank you for watching!
Did not expect live steam and tanks in the same video. Sweet to see everything together, wish we had events like that here. The tanks you brought looked sweet!
Thanks man! Yeah, those trains are really something!
Your video keeps improving in every uploads, well done!
Thanks a lot, that's great to hear! 🙏🙏🙏
KILLER INTRO....!!!
Thank you! 😁
Excellent
Thank you!
best day ever
👍👍👍
What a nice day of testing, playing and fun going on. Maybe some tanks would fit on the trains cars?!
Actually, my AMX-13, which I brought but didn't drive, is in 1/8 scale, same scale as the trains. So that would be able to load on a cart and the size would fit. 🙂
beautiful car, without bragging about a similar one, I drove
Thank you!
Very nice video 🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍😀😀😀🔵🔵🔵
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Wait this is in Böras? I had an internship in the zoo there in 2019 it was so beautiful there! I am from the Nerherlands myself!
Cool! There were some visitors and train builders from the Netherlands at the event too!
I'm out shopping with my wife and now I am watching thexrest of this video. My question is, is the Sherman tank one of the big Chinese RC Shermans, or is it a 1/6 scale Dragon conversion? There are so many parts if you're building a German tank, and there is almost nothing if you're building a Sherman.
There's two M4's in the video. One is, as you guessed, a heavily modified Dragon static model. Reinforced chassis, rc converted, lots of moving figures and electronics inside. The other is an M4 from Vantex, previously gasoline powered but now electrically converted. Both Sherman's use Vantex metal tracks. When standing next to each other, the vantex is clearly smaller than the Dragon, despite both being 1/6 scale.
Grand models
Thank you! 🙏
The 3 cylinder engine at 2:35. I am very sure that it usually stands in aeroseum in the cafeteria. I have seen that engine myself and it is eaven more beutiful un person.
That might very well be correct!
As a good Frenchman that I am, I am sad that there is not the AMX 13
Sorry! I brought it, but didn't get around to drive it!
@@builtbyWikander yes, I can see you were too busy filming everything to make a video for us :) :) Appreciated :)
Can you give me a link to RC controller and electronics? I’m making an RC tank but I can’t find any electronics anywhere in Poland
Hi, the ESC:s are Hobbywing Quickrun 80A. You can find them at Hobbyking or on eBay. hobbyking.com/en_us/quicrun-wp-crawler-brushed-1.html?wrh_pdp=7 My radio is an old Turnigy 9x from Hobbyking. I'm not sure it's still around, but any 6 or 8 channel radio will do.
@@builtbyWikander thank you!
If your curious, I’m making a 1:32 Landcreuzer P1000 Ratte
@@KrzysztofMajewskiTworzy That's sounds super cool, how big will it be?
@@builtbyWikander it’s width is 44cm and it’s lenght is 109,4cm (body)
