I think the only undisputed thing that all football folks agree is that Paolo Maldini is the best defender to ever play the game.

Man I miss the stars power Serie A had back then. 90’s to early 2000’s was definitely the golden era of Italian football. So many world class players and many great coaches. So technical and tactical at the same time.
That era of Italian football is better than any PL era

80s too. Maradona, Van Basten, Gullit, Platini, Zico, Cereso, Junior, Baggio, Baresi, among others. Italian league was the best in the world from the 80s to the mid 2000s. Pretty much what PL is now. But somehow it feels different. Football has changed, and today's stars don't look as shiny as they used to do in those decades
