  • Currently playing on "Desert Lakes" which has no villages. The start was extremely difficult (had to find a mineshaft for wood), and it's still tough, but I've already went to the nether for wood and life is a bit better.

  • Joel, don’t plant the tree saplings all near each other, you won’t get as many leaves because when one grows, it gets rid of the other leaves, when you plant them all at least 7 blocks apart, you can get more leaves, and thus, a higher chance of getting more saplings.

  • The double layering thing is really smart. Usually I do this when I don't have a lot of dirt so I fill in creeper holes with leaves and place dirt on top of it, it saves a lot of dirt that I can use for terraforming.

  • one tip; use fortune 3 on potatoes and carrots, it doesn't take durability on the tool, and you get like 8 potatoes for each potato crop, which gets you ALOT of potatoes.

  • If you want a really tough one, try 100 days in a mooshroom fields only world. I believe the only way to get wood there is to find enough ruined portals to build your own portal and get wood from the nether. Or a wandering trader ig. I'd love to see that.

  • Funny thing to note, Yesterday was my first day back at school after 3 months of being out due to an injury. I was in the class I suck at most (math) and I was just listening to this video and somehow got a 100 on an assessment I took and once again may I remind you. I was out for 3 months and it was really difficult algebra work. You must have given extreme luck, Joel.

  • Living in a desert is like easy hard mode. You have to bring dirt with trees for wood. I brought a ton of bamboo just to fuel my furnaces and in a pinch to make wood. My world just happened to have a massive warm ocean and a massive desert with 5 desert temples. Also it had 3 desert villages, and 2 pillager towers. All within a 5 minute walk.
