I knew as soon as I saw the individual pieces it was going to be difficult and at some point you’d have a couple of them swapped, making it impossible to fit. I struggle so much with puzzles like this, but they’re so cool. You solved it way faster than I would have. I think the box puzzle you showed would be more interesting than the cylinder one. Also, that “forever pen” looks like it would get lost since it’s so small. You may need a hook or latch for it. Very good video.

I'd love to see this puzzle (or other similar ones) made out of metal using that EDM(?) process where the different pieces can't be distinguished. It would all look like a single piece but would come apart in the same way.

That pen thing is basically a tiny version of the "silverpoint pens". They use soft metals (like silver) and besides that are basically the same as lead pencils. Just they write way worse because of how much harder they are. That's also why they take longer to wear out, because it's only gonna give you a very thin line.
