the additional CD is great, shows the support between metal bands. Much better than all the POP people, there everyone just goes for him/her self

There is a whole second album with 10 different covers from different bands, called communio luporum. It's probably my favourite Powerwolf album because it combines several of my favourite bands 😁

I quite like it. Bagpipes and medieval vibes mixed with metal are definitely Saltatio Mortis' deal and it works in my opinion. Of course Alea isn't going to sound the same as Attila as they have different vocal-registers and vocal-styles. It's refreshing to hear different spins on material you know.

Das stimmt aber ich muss sagen das es such lieder von powerwolf gibt wo sich saltatio auch besser anhören würde aber ansonst geiles cover super gelungen

Alea is not only an amazing vocalist, he's also a phenomenal showman AND a multi-instrumentalist. Like seriously, how awesome this guy can be \m/

They've always been a fun listen to me, usually the songs are in German and was a bit disappointed this one wasn't (not to say it wasn't still good) but if you like metal bagpipes, check em out

If you like German you should be fine. This is the first song of theirs i have heard them singing in English. Not how i expected him to sound in English but hes not too bad. Might have to look further and see if he has any other English songs
Armageddon Ash Saltatio Mortis has more Songs in English for example "My Bonnie Mary" but they have Songs in Latein and france too. (Sorry for my very Bad english, I was never good in english xD)
I love the original and I love this. It feels like a vampire priest told his story (Powerwolf version) and then it became a legend and a medieval dance was inspired by it (this version).

Ich finde eigentlich, dass sogar alle Cover-Versionen von dem Album gut gelungen sind und auch vom neuen Album "Interludium" die 2. CD da ist es auch super gelungen. Hört sich mega an einfach. 👍😊😁

It turned out very well, but I was so used to the vocal and manner of playing Attila that the whole composition was waiting for something similar to his solo parts.

Apples and oranges... Attila has a fuller voice, but folk-rock is very much about storytelling and charging your voice with different emotions, like Alea does. I don´t think either one of them could do the other one´s job.

I mean, obviously. These guy's didn't cover Powerwolf because they wanted to do it better. They did it as a tribute and kind of an admiration for the band. No one could do Powerwolf better than Powerwolf. It's still really cool to see these covers nonetheless, and as long as they do it justice. Which. This definitely does.

Beide Bands habe ich live schon gesehen. Einmal hatte ich sogar das Vergnügen Alea bei einer Autogramm-Stunde persönlich zu treffen. Er kann sich mit Fug und Recht als bescheiden bezeichnen. Ein so toller Mensch in vielen Hinsichten und er schafft es trotzdem, sich nicht für etwas Besseres zu halten oder in elitärem Gehabe seiner Branche bzw. Nische zu versinken. Auf der anderen Seite erinnere ich mich auch an Powerwolf. Es war auf dem Graspop 2012. Die Main Stage war mit nicht vielen Leute gefüllt ... zu Beginn. Der Platz war nach 20 Minuten eine ganze große Ecke voller. Beide Bands sind wirklich wunderbar :)

Wow! O.O I'm digging this! Very nicely done! I REALLY like what they did here. Both versions are equally good in my opinion; though the Powerwolf's frontman has better pipes, Salatio Mortis' isn't bad at all and fits the style quite nicely for what they were doing with their cover.
