    • fieto rohith The Male Lion is just Big Period.Cut The Mane off and The Male Lion would just look like an Over Grown Female.But Even The Female Leo's are Big Themselves.So it really doesn't make any difference.Those Lion's Period are Just Massively Huge that's all.So in all actuality There's no such thing as Tiger's being Absolutely Bigger than Lion's in Totality.In reality they're neck and neck.Meaning Both Lion's and Tiger's have Big and Small Cat's.It all depends upon the species actually.But everyone is so Fucked up about The Siberian Tiger that no one wants to believe that there are Lion's that are actually much Bigger than Siberian Tiger's.And at 1 Time that's all it was around.Was These Megalithic Gigantic Lion's.They were called The Atlas/Barbary Lion's.And during the Day's of The Species abundance Era.The Tiger truly came in second in size to The Lion.

    @mighty1654@mighty16546 жыл бұрын
    • Ummmmm I dunno bud, probably because they are well fed? also if you look at old circus pictures, the Lions they used to have were HUGE, I personally suspect it could be in addition to being fed a lot, the male Lions have a growth promoting gene but Lionesses have a growth inhibiting gene, it could be that Lionesses get stressed in circuses which results in somehow weakening that gene and hence the resulting male cubs grow large, or I am just overthinking because the lions are just very well fed, although abused asf.

    • Jesus Swag That's most likely not a Barbary lion. Large manes can grow on any type of lion in cool or cold climates. In various mountainous areas throughout Africa, lions had this kind of appearance which is of course an adaptation to the cooler mountain climates, but these mountain dwelling lions have been killed off leaving only a few small populations. Look up "Lion Mane Linked To Climate" on google, that goes into detail.

      @radost0514@radost05146 жыл бұрын
    • radost0514 You are very wrong, dark skin is an adaptational thing, it’s not based on a species. There are dark lions in various areas of tropical Africa, you occasionally see them in lush wooded areas or even forests, some areas of Southern Africa have them too. Lions also get darker skin if they live in cold areas, which makes their fur longer and darker. Dark manes however are found on almost every lion, this happens when a lion is fully mature. So no, dark skin has nothing to do with it, and the darkest lions I’ve seen were always found in lush tropical woodlands.
