The 2014 Brazil intro hits different. That was pure art and the whole visual identity for that WC is still the best one by far. This WC also has a very good intro, and is the second best.

Mis favoritas son Qatar 2022 , Brasil 2014 y Rusia 2018 en ese orden. La de Brasil transmite ilusión , el niño admirando el destello que emerge del Maracaná , simplemente único el momento ; la de Rusia nostalgia , el tren , el águila y el cohete , Rusia en todo su esplendor , todo esto mientras se recuerda al pasado , otro mensaje poderoso y la de Qatar , mi favorita es la más poderosa de todas , junto a ese toque árabe , el ritmo , el desierto blanco , el recorrido del pañuelo , simplemente te hace vibrar. La de Sudáfrica también me llamó la atención pero estas tres definitivamente son las mejores.

My Top 5 World Cup intros: 1. Brazil 2014 6:26 (the first ever World Cup I actively watched, this beautiful, embraced by its traditional roots and filled with the Brazilian cultural wealth, introduction will forever be engraved into my memory :') 2. Qatar 2022 7:48 (its eastern, arabic musical influence and the emphasis on the desert and the shawls makes it absolutely iconic for the years to come). 3. Russia 2018 7:08 (powerful & welcoming, one of the most interesting and unpredictable international competitions I've watched). 4. South Africa 2010 5:56 (yet again, melodic, simple and wonderfully influenced by African roots and tradtitions, also this World Cup's final, between Spain and the Netherlands, was the very first I've ever watched in my life). 5. France 1998 4:01 (might seem weird but I absolutely love the emphasis on the crowds creating faces of the different humane cultural aspects and populations, its simplicity is what earns me once again).

As a Qatari resident, and although I absolutely love the Qatar 2022 intro since it gives me a sense of excitement and pride, I’ll have to give the crown to Brazil 2014, the vibes from that intro is just perfect.

The 90' world cup intro is the most iconic one for me.. It seems so fitting not just for that tournament, but for every World Cup. Gives me shivers everytime I hear it. 2014 is probably my runner up as it's the one that got me hyped for every game.

It’s surprising to see these intros. All having distinct songs, styles and aesthetics that ties with the culture or design trends. I still remember seeing 2010 FIFA World Cup as a child. Though the 2014 one is thought to be the best one I barely saw all the matches since I was in Ecuador visiting family (I partially saw Germany vs Argentina since it was also my grandparents wedding anniversary).

To me the very first one visually has a special feel to it. It's like "Oh yeah people......we're doing this...... WORLD cup." Then immediately the second one sounds like a regular TV special.
So unbelievably good. The fans singing in the background is the icing on the cake.
In my opinion the best one was 2018 Russia because it was nostalgic,many amazing moments,many awesome countries that played and the intro is pretty cool.

As intros de 2014 (Brasil) e 2022 do Qatar são lindas demais! Pra mim são as melhores de todos os tempos. Rever a do Brasil me fez chorar. É a cara do nosso país! A intro da Copa de 2014 é ótima. Já a logo, é bem feinha. Ouvi dizer ainda que originalmente, as cores iriam ser Verde, Amarelo e Azul. Mas como era ano de eleição, o governo interferiu para trocar o detalhe em Azul para Vermelho. Pois o Azul, apesar de ser a cor da nossa bandeira, era também a cor do principal partido de oposição ao governo, e o Vermelho era a cor do partido do governo.
Finalmente alguém falando português aqui. Concordo plenamente com você, são músicas lindas e que remetem de fato ao país sede. A da Itália é linda também, mas não tem nada de Italiano hahaha A do Catar e da nossa Copa tem gingado, é musical... E me dá tanta saudade de ouvir aquele "oooeeeeaaa... juntos num só coração".

That 2022 intro.... 😢😢 I was recovering from being intubated for almost 3 weeks, and my dad would watch the games with me in the hospital. I missed ALL of the US games because I was still sedated but I CLEARLY remember the song intro. 😢😢😢
