  • Even her speech can turn into a song. Her vocabulary is very wide... Shes really poetic and a true artist.

    • Agreed. Canadians speak English beautifully. It’s a shame the language has deteriorated so much in America. The word “which” is not used properly anymore, as an example.

    • Definitely. I'm terrified whenever I'm surrounded by a lot of people. And I have to because Im in college. I have to brave the storm so to speak. I try to come across as tough and that nothing affects me. On the inside I'm scared that I'll mess up and someone will make fun of me, that I'll look stupid. I've been made fun of me whole life. I try to be myself, it's hard to so when a lot of people including my family try to tell me who I am. They've been drilling that into my head for so long that I start to believe all of these horrible things about myself. I'm working on it but, it's going to be a long process.

Alanis is one of those women who continues to inspire and somehow makes being a woman at this time in history feel like a mission. It's is. To me they aren't and they are in substantial measure the greatest contributors to the "good" on this very troubled planet. Kudos to you and of course Alanis, a once-in-a-lifetime artist.

But, that's what we are as humans. Alanis writes amazing songs that she sings amazingly, but I think we all have some connection to some of her songs. Could listen to her talk or sing all day. An amazing person.

    @malcolmhales8181@malcolmhales81812 жыл бұрын

    @gregorym8340@gregorym83403 жыл бұрын
    • Ironically, the nervousness is what grounded the speech. It made it authentic. It's the same authenticity that allows so many people to latch on to her music as if it was written about them. And not just during my time as a teen in the 90's, but even those same teens today. It's timeless, its honest and its simply human.

I feel like all of us felt that way. There was so much anger and build up from frustrations that it poured into the musical scene . AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! It was all we needed. I feel like we were given an outlet. An inspiration. It all camew together. And all the male led bands did the same! So...Thank you Alanis. • I've always loved hearing her voice as a singer, but it changed me to hear her talk b/c she expressed the same honesty in speaking as when she's singing. I'm glad she didn't disappear and maybe created a place she wanted to be in this business. She's an incredible woman and I think the world has finally caught up to someone like an Alanis Morissette. #phenomenalwoman
