Ever since I made my scrap wood 3 string explorer, I have been wanting to try the technique on furniture... so here it is! All in walnut!
So much work went into this but I am so thrilled with how it turned out!

Not only is this an incredibly beautiful piece, as are your other pieces, but your video editing style with narration is one of my favorites. You really get all the necessary video into the shortest possible time. I am sure I am not the only one who really appreciates this. live all your videos.
So awesome to hear! Thanks!
I have to agree with Doug. I've seen videos that were longer on the use of a starter pin in a router table.
The geometric pattern on the doors not only shows off your woodworking skills but matches the purpose of the piece. It gives the case a retro feel that goes so well with the idea of playing vinyl on it. Well done!
99% of my errors are from measuring, too. My motto is, "Measure twice, cut once, and still screw it up."
Of course you screw it up, how else would you connect the bits and pieces?
Measure never, cut wherever. lol
No matter how many times I cut it, it is still too short.
@@abz124816 just keep cutting, eventually you'll get there, lol
Buddy, I am with you. I will cut long , then recut long, then recut again and now, it's too friggin' short!!!!
Ma’am, I’ve been woodworking for more than 35 years! I’m impressed with the quality and skill shown here!! Keep it up! I’m so pleased to see younger folks keeping these skills alive while accessing modern technology as well!!! Kudos to you!
So glad you liked it. Thanks!
An empowered lady not having to shout about it. This is real equality. Great unit and video 🙃
I watched your old videos recently. This one shows how much you’ve grown as a woodworker. This piece is definitely at another level. GREAT JOB Tamar! Your attention to details is incredible and the fact that you share the complete experience has an infinite value for me as a weekend DIYer. Very inspiring! Thanks so much
So awesome to hear. Yeah. This has been an interesting journey for sure!!
I think I prefer the old ones! This was definitely taking me well out of my depth! Brilliant job, though! It's funny how someone good at this sort of thing tends to be good at other creative things too, the videos are really top-notch!

Your level of woodworking is very high. I haven't seen anyone else on KZhead with such great skills as yours 👌👌👌
OK. All I can say is “WOW”. Thanks for letting us watch.
Glad you like it. Thanks!
This is probably one of my favorite KZhead builds ever. Great job! It came out beautifully
So awesome to hear! Thanks!
Love the "Now Playing" holder.
Yeah! It’s awesome. My friend Alma makes them. I linked to her Instagram in the description
That is an awesome piece to finish it off.
Those doors are phenomenal! That's by far your most impressive piece! Well done!
Thanks so much! A lot of work! But worth it!
This record in the thumbnail is one of the best albums ever made!
ALLRIGHT!!! Well, after dinner, in my bed, I look at your works and in my mind I repeat: "Tomorrow I'll do that", or "Love it. Have to do it asap". Then, I fall asleep and the day after I dunno remember anything. Then, in the evening of the nex day I say: "Gosh, just said I was going to do it... lemme see what Tamara made today... Love it. Have to do it asap. Tomorrow I'll do that"... and so on and on... :-) ♥ greetings from Roma, Italia, AndreA.
😂😂
I've just recently started woodworking in the past year. I'm so novice and I don't know if watching your videos are inspiring me to try more or just discouraging me because of how much I just don't know! Irregardless, that is beautiful and you did an amazing job on it!
Thanks! I hope it’s encouraging! Seriously. If I can do it. You can too... I knew nothing about any of this stuff 5 years ago....
My goodness, you have a real spacious shop, as well as an excellent way of the approach to your projects. I also have to say your attention to detail speaks volumes. Good for you!
Hello, I am from Venezuela and I want to tell you... Congratulations, you have one of the best woodworking channels that I had seen. I have a little woodworking channel for spanish people, and I simply have to tell you... A lot of thanks for make really good videos for woodworkers.
Thanks so much!
I'm amazed this looks so good
‘Love the guitar push stick!
Absolutely beautiful piece, and that record collection was impressive.
That joy of seeing the door fronts come to life - perfect!
So fun!
"Mooommmm!" 😂 love the bloopers as much as the video and the piece itself!
😂
I’ve been following this build on instagram, and it came out amazing!!!! I absolutely love the rounded aesthetic and the geometric pattern is awesome! I’m definitely gonna try and incorporate it in to a future build. Thanks for sharing!
So awesome to hear! It is definitely a process. Ha. It’s a lot of work. But once you get into a groove the time just flies
Wow, you're simply amazing and the fact that you're having fun doing these projects adds so much more to your channel . Absolutely love it.
So glad you like it! It’s fun but a ton of work. Ha
Good job! This turned out so awesome. The wood color and grain pop is just crazy attractive! Good job.

I love your channel Tamar and as a woodworker I'll tell you why that is. Number 1. You do beautiful work. Number 2. You're a born teacher and explain the process very well. Number 3. Your passion and excitement about your work is contagious. Go girl, you're doing exactly what you were meant to be doing. Cheers from Australia.

this is a gorgeous piece of furniture! love it!
Stunning!
This is an amazing piece! I am just beginning in woodworking, but you've inspired me to try more - and to listen to my LPs! Thanks.
Although the discs should be facing the other direction :-)
Love that finish, looks amazing. Also highly impressed with how you manage to balance work time with family time 👍🏻
Thanks! It’s a struggle sometimes...
Absolutely stunning piece of furniture
Your family most be very proud of you. Congrats !!!!!
Awesome cabinet design and those doors are to die for! Thanks for sharing your plywood edge treatment, and I love the cove moldings on the inside. Well done again!
Thanks so much!
Wow. Very impressed with this project and your skills. Love to see quality projects without big expensive tools. Gives me hope with my hobby set up. Thx.
So awesome to hear! Thanks!

Thanks so much!
She's so cool and just an excellent craftsman.
Thanks so much! ☺️☺️
The guides eliminated all failure. The only skill is knowing how to use the guides.
Beautiful work! Love this piece
Thanks so much!
Absolutely beautiful !!!
Thanks so much!
Wow. A ton of skill went into this construction. I am not usually a fan of irregular geometric patterns and round corners and edges. However this design seemed to me to perfectly suit the retro echo of the vinyl disks and player. And the dovetails in the base are an appropriate signing off on the completion of a beautiful piece of furniture.
Thanks so much! Glad you like it!
The cabinet is so beautiful, I love its color!
Thanks so much!
@@3x3CustomTamar Tamar, that close-up video snippet of the hand planer with the curly-q wood shaving from 9:10 to 9:15 was good. Good technique, very cinematographic. My compliments. It wasn't twisted or wonky, either. ;-)
@@rayjr62 haha thanks!
Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks!
When the glue poors from the joint and your kids are screaming...priceless moments! The inside doors are really cool, great work!
Haha always fun. Thanks!
That's Derek and the Dominoes you were playing at the end. You, madam, have a fabulous music taste.
Sure was 🤘🤘🤘
Looks like the sound was removed - but, it is a sign of great taste in music.
I recognized it from the album art 😉
Wow, really love how that geometric veneer looks! :)
Thanks so much!
I'm a noob taking on a big walnut record cabinet project - thanks for the tips and inspiration
Simply amazing! Great job 👌
Thanks so much!
She is brilliant. Would love to collaborate on a guitar.
I almost never got things done when My Children were young. I had to wait until they were 14&15. Their now adults in their 20's
Haha! The struggle is real
The answer is boarding school 😁
@@steenfraosterbro3268 🤣 and then Military School!
@@steenfraosterbro3268 - I guess Your joking and that's cool. The reality for Me is, I birthed My Children, therefore I had to take care and teach them Myself, despite how hard it got to be at times I put My life on hold raise My "seeds" into glorious productive "trees." My 2 youngest I home-schooled them up until ages 10 & 11. When they got in school My Children were too advanced they got a strong foundation of knowledge and got BORED with the Public/Private *_Fool_* System. I had to go back to working for our business due to their father's passing. After High-School they became business owners barely working 2 years for someone else. My eldest Son (deceased) owned real estate rental properties. My Daughter is a bakery owner. My youngest Son owns a security business and is a musician in his spare time. To think of sending them away when they were young to school to be shaped into someone else's BOX?? ... *_Unthinkable._*
Tamar, there are no words worthy of describing your attention to detail, your ability to push through the most tedious of tasks, and the absolute dedication to perfection. If I practiced the rest of my life, I would never reach your level. I so enjoy your videos. And yes, I buy almost everything you suggest. Recently got the 60 degree edge banding bit set on your say so. LOVE IT. I so hate square corners in cabinetry. Please keep posting, please keep pushing envelopes no else would dare to do. YOU ROCK!
So awesome to hear! Thanks so much!
It is absolutely amazing!

I love the way you did the doors so much that I decided to steal your idea when I was looking for something new to try on the outside of a doghouse I was making for a client. She said I have full freedom when it comes to what I made the outside look like but it was doghouse number 20 to 25 (I've lost count over the years) I needed something new and different and she and her puppies loved it. So Thank Fer the idea !
