  • There's been a hundred comments complaining that this is the album version. Of course it is! This is their attempt at a music video. Notice how their stuff isn't even plugged in? They're lip syncing. Do you complain that all of the other music videos use music from the albums?!? Anyways just pinning it here to clear up any confusion.

    • No, it is Dale Crover. He's known for being the drummer from Melvins but he was briefly part of Nivana and recorded drums on three of the songs on Bleach.

    • Nothing compares to Nirvana, even now. If there were other artists copying the Nirvana style at the time, they failed. Soundgarden and the whole "grunge" scene capitalized on the Seattle scene, but none of those bands sounded like Nirvana.

    • If nirvana were young today they would still accomplish the same thing. If nevermind dropped now it would have the same impact it would destroy popular music as we know it. Nevermind d isn't my favorite but it would destroy everything coming out now. Nirvana is timeless and extremely bold playing many different styles of rock music. It won't age. Even till this day entertainers from all different genres are trying to be like kurt and steal his image. That's why you got rappers wearing old grandma sweaters with women's sunglasses.

    • If Kurdt were alive he’d most likely be an acoustic singer/songwriter. People grow and evolve. Dave would be where he is now, and so would Krist in his new bands (e.g., 3rd Secret). Granted I loved them as a teenager and saw them live, but today’s fans lack the experience and can only live it via social media.

  • Even though the song is so different from teen spirit, this video is that video's precursor,: the smoke machine, Kurt's hair and demeanor, the slow motion, the cinematic focus on the drums, and the overall aesthetic. As amateurish as this video is, it is a testament to how solid their vision was, even at this early stage. Also Paper Cuts is a SICK song, fucking haunting.
