I was fascinated by her remarks on Joséphine Bonaparte's design legacy. I was astonished by the leopard print carpets when I was at the Grand Trianon this past summer. I loved them, but I did wonder who decided to put them there. The mystery is now solved! And Bambi's secret guest bedroom that's not for guests? My fantasy hideaway in Paris!

Bambi feels like a reincarnation of our great Colette! It is difficult to be impartial but to me, European interiors are much more interesting, quirky, personal, inventive, sensuous and charming than American ones. To us, home decor is not just about about provenance, price tag, perfection, or the hiring of the most celebrated decorator. You can't buy or imitate Bambi's style. If you don't like her clutter, it is her own and reflects her life. Merci for celebrating this joyful, colorful and bariolée abode.

Oh my goodness, ladies! Did you return the leopard print trench, Susana? It really did look great on you; perfect proportions. Can we talk about that lampshade? It made me think of highwaymen and mad dashes through the darkened streets on the way to adventure. I adore Bambi's secret leopard lair under the eaves. I too appreciate her philosophy that creatives don't make something from nothing, but that thousands of images and ideas swirl around in the brain until they line up like a slot machine and out comes something grand. This longer interview really came alive when Bambi started talking about Empress Josephine! I have two prints of Redoute roses, and actually collect old garden roses such as Blush Noisette, that can be traced back to Josephine's gardens. I've seen furniture of the period, influenced by Napoleon's time in Egypt, where golden chairs and chaises have animal feet and leopard print upholstery. Malmaison was the icing on the cake. This was such a treat!

Hi, Quintessence! I discovered your channel in mid 2020. As someone with anxiety, quarantine was quite terrifying and lonely for me, but your channel gave me comfort, joy and a whole lot of inspiration. I've been binge-watching ever since and have been amazed at the variety of designs, decors, styles etc. that every designer/guest has shared. I'm motivated to work even harder as I now have a lot of ideas for my future home (lol, fingers crossed that I can buy a lovely property one day)! Thank you for reading the comment section as well --for giving us, viewers, this long video. In my opinion, future videos should be a bit long like this one. As a Brit, I have always admired French taste and adore the black with gold that runs through so much of Parisian design. That’s funny that you could tell this lady had done ballet as I had a Physiotherapist, who had never met me before, tell me that I must’ve done ballet in the past because of the way I stood. I did ballet for six years but my body never forgot! 😂🧡💚

She is unapologetic and I loved when she said she would eat spaghetti for a year to afford what she loves like the painting she showed us. I also love animal print fabrics and I have a giraffe print on a living room chair and a cheetah print on a chair in my bedroom. I would love a leopard print carpet on my stairs one day. Bambi is a classic. 😂 She would eat spaghetti for a year is so funny because I would probably do the same for a beautiful piece of art, or furniture, etc. 😂 She is eccentric, eclectic, and has a great sense of humour. The leopard print boudoir is unbelievable, unaccepted, and so creative. I adore her. She thinks out the box, infact she threw the box away, there is no box. 😂 I love her. 💕
