Yes!! Dsmp is always interesting, but it’s themes have never been so succinct yet intense as this! A lot has just gotten too complicated, so seeing something so simple yet effective is always amazing

The red signifying Schlat’s grasp on people and the situations he’s controlling is such a nice way to show it! We first associate the red with him through the coin and his eyes and then we see the red slowly take over other people, and Wilbur especially and then at the end it becomes the dominant color and takes over literally everything! I love myself some good Imagery and yours is superb!

"How bad can I possibly be lets see?" This line aged horribly for the other members of the SMP. Its like they took it as a challenge and tried to touch as many miners as they could.
Aint it odd that most of the villains in the story where the good people in real life and most of the heros in the story ( with alot fo exceptions) where the bad people in real life example dream and wilbur

I can't say exactly why, but I absolutely adore that part at 1:32, where Schlatt's face gets darker and more sinister as the beats progress, "So I'm biggering my company, I'm biggering my FACTORY, I'M BIGGERING MY CORPORATE SIGN!" And how he swings around on a wrecking ball through the smoke and shows how the destruction increases!
People forget that in terms of "power", Schlatt was just a dude. All he had was charisma. Dream? Can canonically access creative mode. Technoblade? Spent 10 years being a divine PvP fighter. The egg? Eldritch horror. Schlatt? Played the game. Went out on his own terms. Banned all the toxic Dream SMP stalker-fans from his stream. Schlatt is what everyone wishes they could be as a villain in a story. Dream is what you are when you accept you lack the charisma.

Bro this set is just so beautiful and satisfying. I love the amazing camera positions, such as behind characters, their feet, the way the camera angles at characters. It literally felt like this was a music video, like it was just a sketch of an amazing animation. On top of that, the characters designs, and expressions were just so satisfying to see! Such as the character saying “so I’m bugging my company, biggering my factory,” was so good! Like crazy expression, and the shots to get to the expression, was so beautiful.

I know right. Each character in the series are played so well. It really shows that not all of your main characters have to be the good guys. I mean Dream is LITERALLY in the name of the roleplay and yet he is the main antagonist. And like techno’s character is so sick, technoblade does an incredible job at acting it and I cannot stress that enough. And in the beginning we were supposed to think Wilbur was good, but if you think about it, he IS the bad guy and the good guy. Not because he blew up L’manburg but because of what he believes and what he did it for

The funny thing of knowing about Dream SMP only through animatics, so for you this is how Jschlatt sound and the AI version comments just don't make any. sense.
This is like my millionth rewatch, and I only now realized that schlatt speaks to tubbo in the whole first bit (up until the flip coin at 0:36). So, before the start of the video, tubbo says smth like "aren't we doing something... Bad?" Schlatt responds, and by that, it leads to this whole animation. That's pretty cool. Actually- the first two choruses are the same point in time, the very same conversation between tubbo and schlatt. This animation is centred way more around tubbo then I realized. I finally understood every bit and timeline of this fully, and I am embarrassed it took me so long 😅
Like AT THE VERY START he looks to the right STRAIGHT AT HIM. At 0:10, TUBBO is the man on the left. u can see him after aswell he's standing at the doorway. At like 0:29 he pushes tubbo! I always thought it was Wilbur for some reason. (Sorry I'm just excited about this.) Now I feel like all of this is rather obvious, am I dumb

This was during the Election Day it was pog2020 vs swog2020 and it all happened before November 16 :)

In the simplest terms. This happened back in October November but you probably have heard of l'manburg. Tommy and Wilbur held and election and Quackity ran against them with George. Wilbur got schlatt as an endorsement for them but schlatt said he'd run for himself. Schlatt runs and him and Quackity pool their votes to win by 1%. Schlatt becomes president and exiles Tommy and Wilbur. Tommy and Wilbur want l'manburg back. This animatic is about how schlatt runs l'manburg which he renamed manburg because they don't take Ls.

I always found that kind of funny. Schlatt honestly wasn’t that bad of a president, and actually progressed L’Manberg pretty far, right up until he croaked. He just had such a bad demeanor that people didn’t like him. To be fair he wasn’t all that nice to tommy and wilbur, but objectively he wasn’t all that bad. He simply saw wilbur’s anti democratic views, as well as his destructive and manipulative potentials and tried his best to keep his nation safe from it.

@@userzero6555 I suppose that’s true, and that’s also where the bad demeanor comes into play. I think schlatt knew he would eventually be elected out, but he also knew that he would be seen as the villain by tommy (who many view to be the main character) as well as the viewers, so he decided to play into it

The problem with Schlatt isnt that he was a bad president per say, just he had a bad demeanour and while he was smart generally, he wasn’t smart with words if we’re being entirely honest. Until the end when he became a drunk, all that was really wrong with him was he was just shitty in terms of personality.
