The Camry is getting some BUIG changes from Toyota for 2025. On the outside you will see an all new look, the color Underground and 18in wheels. On the inside you will be greeted by soft-tex seating, 12.3in infotainment system and digital gauge cluster. Under the hood is a 2.5L inline-4 paired to electric motors. Is the 2025 Toyota Camry SE a BETTER sport sedan to BUY than a Toyota Prius?

man i got to say you can almost never go wrong with Toyota. They always deliver on the necessities and do you right with those mpg's.
You nailed it. Agreed
Thank you Joe for showing the interior of the Camry. In the driving footage. It’s looks so cool seeing the driving footage inside the car. Please try doing this in your sport cars review 👍🏾😀
Joe you are the only real car reviewer on KZhead. Thank you!
Have you ever been on Utube.
Yeah buddy
I love this model, but Im still waiting to see a KZhead video showing the SE with base options only. No sunroof, no heated steering wheel, and the standard 8" infotainment display. I like the look of the microfiber on the door panels and the dash but I feel like it will stain easily in that color, so I would definitely go with the black interior to avoid that. Great car and great review!
That’s the volume model for fleet sales, so once the rental companies get any they’ll likely be that exact combination
SE trim is a better buy than the XSE. I would get an SE in ice cap color.
The rear doors are that material because usually kids are back there. Cloth would just get super dirty.
Joe you were scaring me hustling that thing through the canyon! Great review.
I like the scenic drive. Taking us on these interesting paths with cool landscapes is awesome. It's about the cars but the scenery and where you are driving is becoming better and better.
and as a bonus, there wasnt a full migrant caravan of thousands of illegals bound for NY crossing the border on that day
Thanks always for a great video. I decide to get this beauty for my next car.
It is a lot of car for the money. Great option for daily driving.
The more I watch the videos the more I'm happy with my 2024 Camry se. I would love the improved mileage but I like everything else about mine, si no regrets here.
Any TRD trim coming? Twin turbo with 8 speed auto, bigger brakes, suspension. Dual quad exhaust? Hybrid. Maybe hybrid max ?
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
slight deep dive and was here for it. thanks brah.
Given how dealerships are basically marking up the Prius by an insane amount due to "high demand", I'd bet this would be a better buy; Camry is in its own segment whereas the Prius is often interchangable with the Corolla in the compact sedan market.
High demand doesn’t have to be in quotations….they are in high demand.
@@victoro6331High demand paired with not expecting it to move from niche nameplate to mainstream. It sold 13k in 3 months. Still far ways away from Camrys 24k/month.
Underground color on the TRD Camry is crazy cool.
Joe is always on point with his descriptions of the exterior design language of the vehicles. Nobody does a better job.
You're the first one to show the headlights of the base models with them being on. A bit disappointed they didn't include the wrap around LED DRL on all the models.
Maybe in a year or two, it’ll be standard on all trims.
Disappointing indeed, considering the LED DRLs on the Corolla do wrap around.
Liking that front-fascia functionality Joe!
I must say I’ve been a Honda guy my whole life but this Camry is impressive. I’m glad they are sticking with the hybrid model. 40+ mpg is amazing
Hi Joe I'm from SD so glad you're here! I like this Camry SE trim tbh. Hopefully Toyota dealers don't mark these up...
Yes of course Joe & can't wait to drive this.
Nice review Joe, as usual.....
Thats perfect love the underground color great sporty granny hauler the new Uber car! Thanks for the great reviews!
Amazing review Joe.
Great review, I may get one of these, just need to decide on which trim level I want.
Those tires look thirsty as hell 😂😂😂
You’re hilarious
What? What does that mean!
@@angelgjr1999 That the tires are really dry from riding on the dirt.
@@MiahVega oh I agree!
A little wash up, and some armorall and it's good to go
Gotta love those MPGs. Seems like a good setup for what it is. 💙✌️
Hey Joe, I think the Accord forgot to bring its lunch to school today.....Oh wait, thats right, I forgot the Camry ate it already. 😲
You freaking crack me up Chris
😂😂😂
Actually... Toyota ate EVERYONE'S lunch.
Underground gray is the best I've seen in a while.
😂
Thanks for taking me on a ride, Joe. If I were to buy a hybrid, it would definitely be a Toyota (for reliability sake). And most likely this model. The only thing I couldn't tell from your drive was whether or not the CVT has simulated shifts (seems like I heard a lot of high RPM droning, which is a major turn-off to me. Perhaps someone could clarify that for me. Thanks again, Joe (and Lori) !
Bro, instead of that claw headlight. Imagine it’s a gr 86 headlight. That make the Camry looks better and aggressive. Also add the TRD spoiler and accessories.
I like the way that you think!
Great review Joe. I love these high mileage figures in the hybrid configuration. It really is a huge improvement over internal combustion engines only. My only concern is the CVT transmission. I know they are probably reliable and fuel efficient but I like the performance characteristics of a conventional torque converter automatic transmission. My understanding is that the CVT is $1k cheaper to produce than a conventional automatic.
Hey Joe I hope you also make a review of Toyota Camry XLE 2025 i really like that car. I’ve noticed that most of the reviews are XSE. I enjoy watching your reviews and i hope you’ll notice this. Thank you 😊
Great review, I love this new Camry SE just like this, with the exception I would delete the sunroof if it's an option and not delete something else I want. But great price optioned out, especially in this color. If I didn't bhave my choice made on something a little bit more practical, I would want to get this. Presently my second choice, now.
Today i learned tesla model names spell out S3XY
They should have kept the gas hood struts. I have those on my 2010 SE. Also, Toyota needs to bring a trd version of the hybrid max from the crown. Good review.
I really like this one but my 2002 won't die yet
Time to hand it off to that delinquent family member that cant make ends meet. I know u have one or more, everyone does
all fun and games until the dealers start asking 5 over msrp lol
Thank god my place doesn't do that garbage. We actually like moving units LOL
@@whatawhiff6805Thank you. Gonna buy a Camry SE in that new blue color. But I refuse to pay a dime over msrp, especially in this economy.
My dealership doesn't allow that and they don't have salespeople that have to go back and forth to the manager. That's all BS and we know it.
Here the camry se is like 35k. That’s 1k more than my rav4 xle hybrid that I bought back in 2021.
@@angelgjr1999you’ll have to though, all dealers charge Documentation fees:
The new Camry definitely do looks really sweet looking very nice
the plastic in the rear doors may look cheap but its good for when you have kids back there and its easier to clean than the nice cloth of the front
Lovely colour on the car. My first car was a 1986 Camry!!
Have this exact build arriving in round around 2 weeks! $36k OTD (all taxes/fees/etc. included) with toyoguard. I can’t wait, these things drive like a dream
Required CVT and required hybrid. Should be interesting to see how it stacks up to its tried and true straight 4 and 6 speed
I test drove a 2025 Toyota Camry SE today. this one was triple black… Had the convenience package and the cold weather package amongst a few other accessories and this model was also an all-wheel-drive model first thing I noticed when I took it out of the dealership was this thing is Fast! Seat comfort was top Notch for me. The side bolstering was very comfortable. Stereo system was nice. I’m coming from a 22 RAV4 hybrid… So I expected lower ground clearance and a smaller cargo space. It was great for a sedan. my main gripe is I just wish I could get more features on the SE I want my air condition seats and a 360° surround camera My salesman told me the dealership is getting in a heavy metal with the cockpit red interior in. It has been sold, but I can take it out for a test drive… He is steering me toward the SE for a lower payment however I really like the excess as well. I just wish it had the black grill and the black wheels like the SE does. Either way an SE or an XS will be in my driveway within the next six months… Just have to wait a couple more months to claim one as my lease will be closer to an end Hope this was helpful
I forgot to mention that the heavy metal with cockpit red interior is an XSE trim level model that I will also be test driving***
Is base audio good for not jbl options not available
Can wires run from the 12v to outside the armrest, without the armrest crimping them?
Hi Joe. Thanks for bring this Camry SE to us. Questions: since the Camry doesn't have the V6 option anymore, how does this one compare with the Sonata N-Line?
If you keep your cars 10+ years there is no contest. Camry is still going to be going strong but Sonata questionable for the long game.
My wife and I got one earlier today. Just waiting next week for our dealership to have it delivered.
joe, they said that the 2018-2024 models are 20% more rigid than the 2012-2-17 models..i had a 2012 and bought a 2018 and i can attest it is much more of a solid ride. the car is actually kinda fun to drive. Now you are saying the 2025 model is even firmer and that impresses me the most. The new camry is probably bordering on an old lexus feel at this point.
Looks great.
Most exciting Camry yet!
No truths detected
not true you haven’t driven a 2004 Camry 5speed se
Wooooo Hooooooo that SE badge is so fire 👆🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍
I can’t be the only one who prefers prop rod for the hood. My old Camry has hydraulic and it fell on my head few times. I had to buy a rod from Amazon. Prop rods will not go bad or be another thing that stops working over time. It’s better than any fancy system that can fail and make the hood fall on your head or worse, your hands.
Door panel doesn't allow for tall water bottles. Zonka Donk donk. My 2007 Hyundai has tons more storage inside, even bag hooks on the front middle tunnel, but the two rear air vents is a huge bonus! REminds me of the basic VW Golf's
I know that sucks because u carry the tall 21-22 oz Contigo hot or cold containers in my vehicles: my 2019 VW Tiguan has the best carpeted door pockets in the world! I can carry tons of crap in those things.
Great new Camry, will bring back some of the Toyota fans with this new gen and perfect technology to make it more fun and affordable!
Thanks for all your hard work raiti🙏
Does the se has always on headlights?
At least option in the 2.4 turbo for the SE that would go a long way to giving it credibility for sport sedan
5:57 I burst out laughing. 🤣🤣
This is 100x better, style, look, and color are all perfect.
I feel like I’d go with the XSE for a couple grand more. Get the nicer interior.
You and me both Zirn. I’m managed to save $26,200 to put down on my next car in July. So I am thankful to only finance the balance of the $40,000 or so XSE and I do have the cash as well to pay the taxes and such. Buying a vehicle isn’t a cheap proposition anymore: I have a separate fund of just under $200k to put down on a home when I find one I like. Those are expensive now too! Sheesh. It’s hard for us young people to get started but my family has been supportive so I’m lucky to be able to live at home as long as I want until I can afford to get an apartment or house.
Is the Camry TRD back for 2025?
Joe, my grandma used to eat Entenmann's cake every day too with her morning coffee. She passed away last year at the age of 99, 4 months shy of her 100'th birthday. She will be missed.
No daylight running light on se?
This is actually a really nice color that goes very well with the overall design of the car
Gotta say I do love this color on the Camry. I have a 2022 Camry hybrid SE and you really can't go wrong with one.
This is so very true!
I'm having a hard time with that front end, but maybe it'll grow on me.
Maybe once you see it in person Anthony!
That road gave me anxiety! 😂😅
Me too
of course
I own a 10th gen Accord. Love it. This new gen Camry is way better than 11th gen Accord.
In regards to rear turn signal light bulbs, how difficult is it to change it? That would determine if I'd zonk it or not.
Very easy to change. It lasts seven years.
Hey was that an auto dimming rearview mirror?😉
No doubt this will be my next ride when the lease is up on my RAV4 SE hybrid within the next six months.. I originally wanted an XSE fully loaded until I saw the price and my salesman steered me toward the SE. I like the black grill better on the SE but bummed that I can’t get all of the tech on it that is offered in the premium plus package on higher levels… Not the end of the world Joe thank you for reviewing this trim level As I have been waiting for it to be reviewed. My only problem now is trying to figure out which color I want . Living in the snowbelt of upstate New York… I priced one with all available options including premium paint and I’m just a little bit over $37,000 including all wheel drive… Just anxious to take one out on a twisty road
I agree with you on all points and find myself in a similar position. I like white. I currently drive a 2021 Mazda CX-5 in snowflake white pearl. I will have it paid off in June and then will get my new Camry if the markups aren’t crazy.
Beautiful.
That's great, but can the car still have decent power after going uphill from Wheeler Ridge south or Castaic north over Tejon Pass on Interstate 5?
How much power do you need to do that? 🤔 I drive a Honda Fit with 95hp would it not be possible?
@@sha22276 Actually, the last Honda Fit I drive had 130 bhp with a car that weighed just over 2,600 lbs. That's more than enough to go up even the steep climb over Donner Pass east of Sacramento, CA.
Haha the monopoly mention is relatable
Between the new accord and this, im taking the camry
take the Sonata Limited Hybrid
@@ijedi8843a Kia? 😂
Yeah Me Too 🚗💨
@@ijedi8843 no junk policy here !
To each its own, but you'll pretty much be taking on a bloated Corolla mixed with a Prius
My dealership just got their first shipment of the 2025 Camry in today looks like they are mainly all SE’s… going to go test drive one on Thursday
That is so fantastic David!
i like the look of the 2024 xse better
Nice overall people mover vehicle inside and out imo. The worst part is the CVT; however, If I weren't a performance car enthusiast, I would totally buy this. Very good mpg's, reliability, practical, resale value!
It looks similar to a Prius, but if you look closely, it's different. I think it's a good design. The back seat is narrow. The 2.5-liter hybrid offers powerful driving and seems to have good fuel efficiency. It's not yet released in Japan, so I'm jealous of people in North America.
I have a 2023 Prius Limited AWD and I'm really liking the 2025 Camry. I'm pretty certain that I'll order one the minute we can.
Joe I just love watching you reviewing my favorite vehicles. The new Camry will Outsold the new Accord in my opinion.
I dont know why I want a camry, but I do.
I'm going to hold off for the red XSE.
Hey Joe did you do a 0 to 60 with the hybrid? And just wondered if the all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive would be different 0 to 60?
AWD is like a half second quicker
I timed his video at 8 seconds flat. Not bad! If the AWD is faster wow....
i was on the fence until buncakes, now im sold.
Please do a review on the XLE too
Yes pleaseee
I love my Avalon Hybrid! Has 130,000 miles and still going strong. The back is much roomier than this too
Full tank only gets you 403 miles? Did I see that right? At 12:40
On my 3rd honda accord. Currently in a 21 sport 2 liter. I'm going to admit now toyota offers awd & hybrid together in the camry. Looks like I'm going to toyota
Awesome looking daily driver work or school car. I just find it kind of funny in all the names car companies come up with paint colors like this car that is really just (Dark Gray) but i'll agree that it does look good. Good bang for the buck pricing and the 40 - 50 MPG's is just crazy and it has to make some people forget about Pure EV's at least in the short term. Thanks Joe and Steven !
Agreed! Funny marketing names
They did an awesome job reinvented the Toyota Camry
I’m so glad that you think so
Cant wait for this treatment for the lexus es and ls
@@RaitisRides yes sir
@@NovisMachinaare they keep the ls or discontinuing it?
I’m really curious as to why you think that? It’s literally the old car with a new front end a slightly different screen setup inside. That’s a reinvention?
Very impressive, Twinkie storage in the trunk.
Toyota quietly and subtly redesigned their lineups and now they're one of the best cars rolling around.
It’s funny how everyone says Edison bulbs nowadays and I never heard that for my whole life until about 5 years ago.
Joe I think the Accord feels more premium than Camry? Touches and materials.
Inline-4? I could live with that. ❤👍
the Camry blows both the accord and prius away. that's putting it mildly. for the life of me i don't understand why the prius skimped on so many features and frankly the camry delivered a knick out punch to BOTH
Exactly 💯
Toyota really just cannibalized the Prius with the much better Camry.
Yes, I'd get this over the Prius. Camry could be cheaper to buy and has a vastly more spacious back seat and trunk.
