Despite the insatiable appetite for SUV’s, the #ToyotaCamry remains the best-selling family sedan in America for decades. For 2025, #Toyota is going all in with the #CamryHybrid which only comes as a #Hybrid for this generation. For the first-time ever, you can also get AWD with the Hybrid powertrain and Toyota has given it a nice upgrade in tech, power, and efficiency.

Happy Thursday everyone! We're so excited to finally be able to share our thoughts on the redesigned Camry today and next week, we'll be posting our review on the Tacoma TRD Pro with the new i-Force MAX hybrid powertrain. In this video, we including driving footage in a FWD and AWD Camry and we talk about the differences to see if the extra charge for AWD is worth it.

Hybrid, traditional door handles, exhaust pipe, interior buttons. Toyota went full big brain on the new design while the rest of the world tries to follow Tesla 😂 Good job Toyota 👏👏👏
Not true there is no V6 and the hybrid system adds weight.
Straight facts Toyota over engineered their vehicles. Hybrids are money maker. Save you lots of money
@@nascartalksandopinionnewsw8589 You can save more money by buying a 15 year old camry with more power. Or just walking every where, maybe moving to a low income neighborhood. Lot's of ways to save money that don't involve an over complicated over weight under powered over sized prius. Toyota is only able to get away with this because honda did the same thing with the new accord.
@@randomyoutubeaccount6906 Actually, people who have reviewed this car have all said it's not the way underpowered hybrids of the past. Anyone who's driven the current Prius knows it goes to 60 mph way faster than the older models. And Toyota has refined their hybrid system for over 26 years, so they know how to make it reliable.
@@Sacto1654 0-60 where this would do best looks between 7-7.5. This was okay 15 years ago, I had some 06 i6 with simular power/weights and 0-60. a V6 camry/accord pulled low 6 to mid 5s on the extreme models like the 2.0t. but what matters more is highway pulls and passing power which it looks like this does not have just like the new accord does not have
Man this just killed accord😂

I feel like this latest generation was a band aid until they figured out if it was still worth investing in. The Civic is so good in comparison to the Accord. But the again Idk when the last time was that both the Civic and Accord were good at the same time.
@@ibrahimbashir6634 Why are you lying? Savagegeese did not say that wtf 😂 He said this is closer to the Accord compared to the older model. This Camry may not have a V6 anymore, but it does have some really nice upgrades.
$41 grand for an EXE with premium package? Would rather go for a used Lexus.
I’d rather get an 8th gen XSE v6. Because it’ll hold it’s value a lot better and the v6 is just so much nicer and more refined

I love my old E350 with the V6. With that said, this Camry is gonna blow the Accord out of the water. 232 hp and still able to do 44 MPG is pretty damn good.
i am amazed in all honesty. they really hit the sweet spot. i wouldn't mind 200 hp with even higher mileage (AWD)

How? Those 4x4s became turbo/turbo hybrid v6s and i4s. All they did was bring back the land cruiser
@janoycresnova9156 Corporate Average Fuel Economy... basically a standard for fuel economy a manufacturer has to comply with
What’s also ingenious on Toyotas part is that they cut back on engineering, parts labor u have one main engine to fit 60% or more of their vehicle lineup so now u concentrate on that one engine make it bullet proof

The thing nobody ever mentions about 16" rims is you'll get better mpg, lower NVH, less tire wear, and better ride comfort. Large rims creates more problems than it solves. This is coming from someone who used to hop up Civics back in the day. Oh yeah, you also get worse acceleration.
Better hydroplane resistance and lower risk of a blowout with more sidewall too! Big rims are about as dumb as can be
17s are good, 18s, ehhh
17 inch rims are ok. Once you go above 19 inches the car will ride like shit

@@ameraboukoura6091 Nope. and let me break it down. Latest Kia and Hyundais are in a design language called "Neo Retro". Not a new concept but they seem to be the only car company to have cracked it and make it look chic and charming at the same time. A little quircky but where's the fun without that? The Chinese car companies like Geely, BYD and the former british MG are doing what the Koreans and Japanese used to do in a less successful way is copy europeans and absolutely butcher proportions and build quality.

I just remembered i also watched your 2018 camry review, back when the major design change was controversial, so damn ive been subbed for quite some time and i look forward to your 2030 Camry review 😂
Went from 300HP to 253HP for their top tier XSE… Lol Grannies are happy about the change.
I had a black on black 2015 Camry XSE V6 that I bought new & drove it for a few years & loved that car (My brother eventually bought it as I upgraded to my current white on red 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport four years ago). I'm kind of sad the V6 is gone, but I'm OK with that since I want my next car to be a hybrid. I've recently driven a couple of Lexus hybrids & was very impressed which is no surprise since Toyota/Lexus typically makes the best hybrids.
The best part of the new Camry is that Toyota removed that ridiculous and ugly fake vertical 'vent' below the brake lights. I'm very happy that is gone!
Can’t wait to see these being converted into NYC Taxis 😂
You can't wait? Exciting life, huh?
Right 🤣 the quintessential taxi/uber car lol
Lol so true...Camry hybrids rule the NYC for-hire/taxi business 😂😂
I notice that taxi and Uber drivers never drive hyundai sonatas. I talked to a couple taxi drivers and they said they want toyota hybrids cuz they drive 20 hrs a day. 2 shifts of 10 hrs ,each. The hybrid batteries rarely go wrong despite 300 to 500 miles. I was bloody shocked. They tell all their rides when they inquire. Best ad for toyota ever.
Looks really nice, somehow looks like a lexus

I’ve got a 2020 Accord 2.0t and I really like the new Accord but I’m a huge fan of the Toyota front end that they put on the Prius, Crown(especially the Sport)and now Camry. I’m planning to get a hybrid next but I’d want a SUV but this is pretty damn close to keeping me in sedan land. 👍🏻
This Camry looks sleek, and modern, while the Honda Accord looks (in my opinion) like a rental car. Keep it up Toyota!
Funny how nobody complains about the V6 being replaced. People literally lost their sh!t when the Accord did the same thing. 🤔

When you realize that you like the Accord for 1/2 second faster, the Accord looks like an old car compared to the Camry. In Quebec, the Accords are all in dealer yards, while the Camrys are all on the road.

At some point, I expect Toyota to release a Camry Prime with their plug in hybrid system from the RAV4 Prime. They can’t not. It seems more appropriate for a Camry since it basically makes the same power as the V6 but with better efficiency.
They are building a battery plant which is supposed to come online next year if not mistaken. That will allow Toyota to build a lot more hybrids/prime versions.
Prime sedan is only for prius. Camry prime may kill the prius
That would make sense to add a camry prime. I wonder when it may come out.

I’m not sure why exterior styling is the most talked about thing on this new Camry. Honestly, the majority of people won’t notice that it’s a new car from the rear and side profile. The front end looks updated, but that’s the worse angle of the car unless you’re into a bloated fish look. The biggest improvement here is the hybrid powertrain and updated interior, which are both nice.
I hate the steering wheel so much
Because the old front end was ugly with weird style lines and large fake vents.
Yeah I much prefer the hyundai sonata catfish. Why doesn't it sell more?
Looks beautiful! Nice style.
Considering trading in the MKV Supra for an AWD Camry. Honestly, Toyota is just killing it with their lineup. Wonder if they’ll ever make a GR Camry.
The biggest difference between the camry and accord is that the camry's electric motors work at ALL speeds, and the gas motor works at ALL speeds. Which means way better passing power. The accord past 50mph is stuck with its ancient 20 year old 2 liter 138hp engine so past 50 its impossible to accelerate. The electric motors on the accord no longer work at high speeds. Its either on or off.
Interesting
True
Makes sense, I’ve gotten my 2021 up to 80mph with no shortage of passing power (for a brief second). I should test an Accord hybrid to experience the difference.

They are made with a proven hybrid system and the engine is still naturally aspirated. So this Camry can still last as long.
The take rate on the V6 was low and it wasn’t fuel efficient. That the name of the game for sedans now they have to be fuel efficient.

3 mistakes I saw and heard towards the beginning.. You stated the side silhouette was unchanged, but the glasshouse has noticeably been reworked on the rear door(huge improvement); you displayed the fuel tank size to be 13 gallons, but stated it's approximately 14.5 gallons; you stated the interior had the traditional start-up chimes, but the chimes on the 2025 is Toyota updated version(love the change).
