I remember those mid 90s when he came to Europe. I was growing up in Croatia, still freshly devastated by the war. We didn’t have much. We didn’t really have anything but football on the streets, and the TV show "five" about the European football leagues every monday on our national tv channel. And I will tell you this: when you walked our streets and saw kids playing football, you could hear us shouting his name when we scored a goal. Every single kid, each one of us wanted to be Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima... To this day the best striker to walk this Earth. Thank you Phenomeno for everything...

I remember playing behind my house with some simple red football shirt with a blue number 9 on it and imagined and dreamed of playing for Barcelona (and later for Inter) with Ronaldo. That shirt meant the world to me and I was so happy back then. Everything I have now is memories and nostalgy... that was real life...
