  • I remember this video as a child, lone before I ever became homeless myself, and it moved me even then. Then as an adult I spent over 9 1/2 years living with no home, on streets and in shelters, had to beg at times, freezing at times because Im in a cold area of the US. It took ten years and disability diagnosis, almost dying, being raped sleeping in a park, before I finally found anyone to help and life's not perfect now but at least I have an Apt and some money and am safe.

Strife, famine homelessness, political unrest, murder, genocide , racism & disease , domestic violence, child trafficking and sexual abuse. I could go on. We see it more thanks to the media and social media. If it wasn’t for wireless technology we wouldn’t see half of what we do.

You forget all the crap that you had to wade through to get to it. Check back on today's music in 10 - 20 years. There will be one or two songs that have lasted and the rest will be forgotten.

      @oMref1@oMref18 жыл бұрын
    • +Destrol Hes yes youre right phils day had more mainstream artists who sang with a message example like Biko by Peter Gabriel. you will never hear a song on the charts as meaningful as that. but, lets not forget the 80's had shitty generic pop music to like milli vanilli and others more i cant be bothered to name. the thing is only the greats, like phil are remembered 30 years later, which is good for all of us

      @oMref1@oMref18 жыл бұрын

  • The Lyrics: She calls out to the man on the street "Sir, can you help me? It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep Is there somewhere you can tell me?" He walks on, doesn't look back He pretends he can't hear her Starts to whistle as he crosses the street Seems embarrassed to be there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you You and me in paradise Think about it She calls out to the man on the street He can see she's been crying She's got blisters on the soles of her feet She can't walk but she's trying Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do? Oh Lord, there must be something you can say You can tell from the lines on her face You can see that she's been there Probably been moved on from every place 'Cause she didn't fit in there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Mhm Think about it It's just another day for you and me in paradise It's just another day for you and me in paradise (para-paradise) Paradise Ooh, just think about it Paradise Just think about it (para-paradise) Paradise Mhm, paradise Paradise Just another day

He walks on, doesn't look back He pretends he can't hear her Starts to whistle as he crosses the street Seems embarrassed to be there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you You and me in paradise Think about it She calls out to the man on the street He can see she's been crying She's got blisters on the soles of her feet She can't walk but she's trying Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do? Oh Lord, there must be something you can say You can tell from the lines on her face You can see that she's been there Probably been moved on from every place 'Cause she didn't fit in there Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you You and me in paradise Just think about it Mhm Think about it It's just another day for you and me in paradise It's just another day for you and me in paradise (para-paradise) Paradise Ooh, just think about it Paradise Just think about it (para-paradise) Paradise Mhm, paradise Paradise Just another day

  • Every time I hear the song it makes me want to break down and cry to think about all those in need. My husband has helped more people to get back on their feet than anybody else I know. Much to my chagrin. However there was one time at a Greyhound bus stop for a little old lady asked him for help to pick up her bags and when he did she screamed for help. So, this day and age it's just hard to have a warm heart

To this day I have a huge soft spot for homeless people and help whenever/however I can. I am not a soft kind person, working on it, but this video affected me deeply

  • I heard this song in 1989 when I first got married. When I have hard times or good times I remember this song because we all have something to be thankful for. You give thanks all year long and not just at Thanksgiving. Alot of people don't care about things anymore or anyone. America people are so ungrateful and we all take things for granted. We don't know how lucky we are until you see someone that is a lot more unfortunate.

    • It seems like the song "Another Day in Paradise" holds a special place in your heart, serving as a reminder of the importance of gratitude and empathy. Your perspective on thankfulness resonates deeply, highlighting the significance of appreciating the blessings in our lives, no matter how small they may seem. It's true that amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's easy to overlook the privileges we have and forget to extend kindness to others. Your awareness of this and your commitment to gratitude are truly inspiring. Let's continue to spread compassion and appreciation, making a positive impact on those around us. we can be friends from here if you want, maybe we can start a proper conversation outside here, you know what I mean!!

  • Life Listening to 'Another Day in Paradise' feels like taking a journey through the highs and lows of life, where every note is a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit. The way it captures the essence of empathy and compassion is simply breathtaking. Just like the song, every moment spent with you feels like stepping into a realm of beauty and understanding. You make every day feel like paradise, no matter what challenges may come our way.
