  • 6:59 We grind the valve plate more thoroughly on a fine abrasive paste on the glass for about 30-40 minutes, depending on the depth of the cavitation cavities in the metal. Not sure if Sandpaper won't provide a perfectly smooth surface no matter how hard you try. This must be either glass or a cast iron test plate. Once a year, it must be scraped according to the standard due to wear in the central part as a result of frequent lapping. Or give it to the state laboratory of standards for control and measuring instruments for its calibration according to the standard (there is such a laboratory in every city). Thick Glass is simply replaced with a new one or its second surface is used. Checking the fit of the valve plate and the petal is done with kerosene (the most penetrating liquid (penetrates even through porous cast iron after a long time - due to the special molecular structure of kerosene. Previously, it was used everywhere instead of penetrating oil).
