Ah - I see you adopted her out. Glad to hear it's going well. I've had cats all my life ... they are so very special. Horrible to imagine what sort of life she might have had but for your intervention.

For a month Our feral stays hidden under the sofa . Comes out to eat and use litter box when no one is around. Meows/cries from sunset til about 9am. EVERY DAY. Have seen the (less than a year old cat) two or three times in one month
I don't think you need to wear any hand protection with that little angel.

Its very hard if not impossible to tame a feral adult cat unfortunately. Kittens are easier, but become increasingly more difficult to tame after about 12 weeks old
What's your secret to keep away the smell of 💩? I love cat but can't handle the smells 😅
