Here is a video of an lespaul type guitar being made by one person!
一人の人間がレスポールタイプのギターを作り上げていく動画
This time, he ordered a guitar that resembles a standard Les Paul. I have always loved Les Paul, so I tried to make the texture as close to the original Les Paul as possible. However, the sound was more modern than the original Les Paul. The result is a guitar that sounds and looks very cool. The owner said it was one of the best guitars he ever had.

  • I love the idea of routing the cavities and gluing on the top BEFORE bandsawing and routing the profile/edges. But how did you get the top to perfectly align with the bottom without having the edges as a reference? (So that when you lay the template on the top to drill holes for switches they're in the exact right place going into the cavities)

Back then there was no Internet and it was hard to find any meaningful information concerning the building of such a guitar. I was also lacking the ideal equipment to build something like this. It turned out very nice though, but it took me 11 years to complete.

  • Great build! However, i would have used hot hide glue on the neck and fingerboard joints, just for the sake of easy removal, in case the neck twists and you want to reset the neck. Titebond is pretty much for life 😀. One qustion tough, when you use a thick ebony veneer for the headstock you eventually have to make the headstock thinner for the tuner shafts to go all the way trough. Does it have any impact on the structural integrity of the headstock or does the thick veneer even strenghten the overall stability? I know that Gibsons thin Holly veener does not 😀
