I agree! This has been our favorite set to open. I'm excited for Shining Fates as well, but I feel (while it's going to be a great set), it won't exactly measure up to Hidden Fates.

Most master sets can be a couple hundred dollars. However, the price of the Hidden Fates master set is over $1,000.
Do u mean each indvidual card that totals up to x amount of dollars or the amount u spent on boxes and packs
That would be the total of all the individual cards.

Loved the video, this would be the dream master set to have. Another suggestion would be to have 4 sealed packs of each pack art somewhere in the binder to top it off.

Working on completing my Hidden Fates set currently though I have a question did you include the 2 holo promos from the pin collection? I did not see them in the video and I assume the non holo energys are behind the reverse holo. Love the video by the way.
Nice, hope you complete it soon! And yeah, I have the pin collection promos in the book, but I didn't flip the last page. I've since changed it to where the Solgaleo, Lunala, Rayquaza, Zoroark, and Metagross are on the same page as the Tapus, and all 5 tin/pin collection promos are on the same page.

I finished mine about a year ago and this one's definitely going to be a banger in 25-30 years and is definitely part of my retirement plan.... Hell I even keep the binder in a deposit box at the bank with a sealed ETB.
Nice! This is probably my favorite set we own. It’s going to be very difficult for Pokémon to top this one. Shining Fates was cool and all, but doesn’t come close to this.

Thank you. I use the cases you can get from ETB's for the Ultra Rares and KMC Perfect Fits for the commons/uncommons.

I couldn’t work out whether or not you were using a kmc and deck protector on the ultra rares as I’m not sure what to do myself. I am one card away from completing the master set on CP but that card happens to be the shiny charizard V :(

They were on the last page by themselves that I didn’t flip to. I’ve reorganized it now so they are next to the others promos.

It really is an awesome set.. And we pulled the Charizard, but the only one we have on video was after this video was made. Got that and a Gold Tapu Koko from the same tin...

I really think this is the toughest Charizard out there to pull. And I honestly don't think Shining Fates will live up to this set either.
@@MrMewMan I am inclined to agree. I honestly find the pull-rates in English specialty sets to be very frustrating. Ultra Shiny GX guarantees pulls in every box and so does Shiny Star V, I really do not get why the pull-rates are SO much worse in English. It cheapens the experience and makes it feel like a money grab, especially when you're dumping thousands of dollars into a set and you can't even pull half of the shiny cards out because it's roughly 1 per tin @ $25 a pop RETAIL, but sometimes you get nothing from a tin. Sorry to rant, but it really turns me off buying English product and I don't really see many people complaining about this when I feel they should! Not to mention, you finally pull the card and it is horribly off-center, or is just straight up damaged out of the pack. I would love to hear your thoughts on this! I have been really debating whether or not I will buy much sealed Shining Fates, or just buy singles because I simply can't be putting that much money into a set with such little returns. Who knows though, maybe it will be better (if Champion's Path was any example, it probably won't be lol).
I absolutely agree about the pull rates in specialty sets. That's why with every main set we stick to booster boxes as we are at least guaranteed so many pulls. It can be really frustrating to open a tin or a collection box only to pull all non holo rares... The reason I think Shining Fates won't measure up to Hidden Fates is the lack of what I consider are "quality" pulls. In Hidden Fates I can be totally satisfied not pulling the Charizard since there are so many other cards that pull a lot of weight (such as the Eeveelutions, Ho-Oh, Lucario, Darkrai, Greninja, and many more). I don't feel Shining Fates can pull that same kind of weight. The other thing to mention about Shining Fates is the lack of Shiny V/VMAX cards in the first place. There are 35 Shiny GX cards in Hidden Fates (not counting promos) while there are only 23 in Shiny Star V. BUT, when you look at how those will be carried over to Shining Fates, there will only be roughly 14 because so many have been taken out to become promos. Yes, there are several more baby Shiny Pokemon, but those really never carry the same value as the Full Arts. Once we complete the set, I would like to do a video comparing the two with my thoughts.
Just opened Hidden Fates for the first time. (2) of the 4 pack tins. I was really looking forward to it, however I only pulled (1) baby shiny. In 8 total packs. Did I just get bad luck or should I have expected more?
I actually calculated our pull rates from this set. We got a baby shiny in 1 out of ever 5 packs and a full art shiny in 1 out of every 12 packs. So, with opening 8, you kind of fall in between.
where did you preorder the reprint. I heard it may just be the uk getting a reprint.
Gamenerdz had them for a bit, but they are all sold out now. I bet you'll be able to find them in stores in a few months.

Hey just wondering i didnt see the Mew and MewTwo pin collection cards in your master set. Am I just missing them in the video or are they just not there?
They are actually on l the back of the last page that I didn’t flip. Lol… I ended up changing around the promos to make them fit better now.
@@MrMewMan My man lol. I love the layout of your Binders. I dont have a lot of space in my house so I got a Top Deck binder that holds 1000 cards. I can put 3 to possibly 4 master sets in that 1 binder

Haha, yeah, in the Japanese set the Bird Trio was first released in you could get all 4 artworks from the same set. But I’m our English set, it was made a promo.
do you need to have common, holo and reverse holo for all cards main set 68 cards to complete the set?
If you're trying to complete the master set, then that will include the reverse holos. But if you're just trying to complete the normal set, then you can just have the normal commons/uncommons/etc.
@@MrMewMan thank you for responding. It’s weird cause I can’t find regular commons for this set like 18/68 or 55/68 for example but I have holos and reverse holos though. I wasn’t sure if the holos go in place of the commons? What were the other promotional cards at the end? I have the ones from hidden fates tins sm211, sm212 and sm213 but there were others too. Are they from Elite Trainer boxes?
Ah, 18 and 55 are both holo rares so there will be no non holo for those, only a reverse holo. There are a few other holo rares in the set that are just like these. The other promos are from either the Zoroark/Metagross Collection Box, the Ultra Premium Collection Box, or the Pin Collections.

What's the percentage of finding a shiny, or an ultra shiny gx in a tin?
Our pull rates for a baby shiny were 1 out of 5 packs and for a shiny GX it was 1 out of 12 packs. So, I'd say you have about a 33% chance of pulling a shiny GX in a tin.

Oh, wow. That's a tough question. My guess is that once Hidden Fates is discontinued it will begin to go up in value. From what I've seen the current price is around $3,000. I can definitely see it increasing though.

I would say we did. I do think it also makes a difference that we had the set complete before it started to get difficult finding product.

It seems the prices have been all over the place, but I'd say somewhere between $2,000 - $3,000 if I had to guess.

Not really, I plan on passing it down to my son when he gets a little older.
I'm afraid to say but this is not the master set as yourr missing 2 cards Mew & mewtwo promo from the hidden fates pin collection. And in my opinion if a title for a set is called a master set it needs every single card in the set, this includes the jumbo rayquaza and jumbo charizard,raichu,gyarados. 😁
I actually have the Mew and Mewtwo on the next page, but I have moved them so they are all together now.
Well the jumbo cards were not available everywhere, as they were Walmart exclusives. Therefore I don’t think they should be considered for this master set.
