  • Doug, a buddy of mine bought one of these brand new and he told me the reason that spoiler operation is incremental when lowered is to maintain stability at high speeds. It allows you to drop the spoiler a fractional amount to add a few more miles per hour on the top end while still maintaining enough down force to maintain stability. He said if you hold the button down for 2-3 seconds it will go all the way down. Pretty genius engineering.

  • The programmatic stoppage of the wheel on the infotainment screen is genius...totally helps with fiddling around with the system while driving (not that you’re supposed to be fiddling with it while driving, BUT, you’ll eventually know how many clicks you’ll need per category to choose a “value”, so the wheel stopping helps you know where you are in the system/category...and you don’t need to take your eye off the road as much as the Menu becomes meshed with muscle memory. Brilliant UX design)

  • People like to mock the blue interior color. But dont you forget, colors like this were incredibly popular from at least the 1950's well until the late 1990's. Until they were dropped for tan, gray, and "graphite" or black. Green lost popularity a bit earlier than red and blue. Colored interiors absolutely dominate automotive history. Bentley took a risk and didnt botch it. And now Lincoln is bringing it back.

    • Yeah, I had a '95 Chevy Tahoe. It was blue. All the blue things he points out in that car were blue in my blue Tahoe. I didn't really think it was unusual. My father's red '76 Chevy Silverado had most of that stuff in red. (It was pretty basic, it didn't have things like mirrors on the sun visors, or air conditioning. But what it did have was mostly red.) I have a Ford now. There's quite a lot of black. And I like that better. But again, I didn't think much about it being any different than the others, because it's a black car.

    • +Andrew Ciaccio Jr I hadn't seen one before either, but looking at it, it very clear what it was and the design behind it, that's what an oval gives you, two smaller rings at each end and a larger ring in the middle. Doug Said he had no idea what they were and I find that funny, you have to ask yourself what would a manufacturer hope you use them for and why has this car not got any cup holders.. the answer is the cup holders are the ovals, one in the back and one in the front, 4 normal sized cups or 2 big ones, does knowing that make me the smartest person to have ever lived or are you and Doug unable to know something that you haven't been told? you asked a question and I replied, and I find your lame attempt at "humour" to cover up your embarrassment a little tedious.

Yes it does zero to 60 in 4.7 s but even more impressive is the zero to 100 time of 9.3s. Acceleration is balistic and for the price, nothing to touch it and I disagree with the score of 6 in this video for acceleration . Only fault in one year is the PDC has stopped working. Best car I've had in over 40 years of driving - you feel special every time you get in it. I would highly recommend this car.

  • When Doug doesn't know something he just makes stuff up the oval thing holds 2 cups, also the spoiler was made to operate that way so you had 3 different positions

  • That is great that the scroll wheel has the built in limits. Eventually one can do each menu by touch without looking from memory. As to the spoiler, Doug, the stepped down is clearly something that allows you to customize the spoiler position. Of course I haven't read the book. Instead I watched as you left your finger on the button. Had you removed your finger, perhaps the wing would stop at the position where it was when you took your finger off the control. I like the Global close. One touch at parking and your are done. Continuous heating control is fine. Yes, those shift paddles are a bit problematic.
