I am a 70-year old retired wood worker (not really; we never retire). I have never seen such an interesting, patience-demanding, complicated desk. You are a true craftsman, well experienced in several trades, and physically well-coordinated. I am actually in awe of this work and desk you have accomplished. you really cut all of those quarters out by hand and sand them down. you guys are crazy - in a very positive way. Love that table! Greets from Germany
looks like they have a nice little band saw--so why cut the aluminum channel with a jig saw ? I think they would also get cleaner edges with the band saw---less sanding too ? make a simple jig for the band saw table so all cuts are same...

аналогично) Конечный результат в сборке меня всегда смущает и я не понимаю "зачем так-то?" но в процессе создаётся СТОООЛЬКо всего крутого что я всегда сижу просто в шоке от того какие они крутые. В этом видео столешница просто огонь, слов нет чтобы передать как я восхищён их работой.
Лично мне не нравятся декоративные гвоздики( кнопки ), как по мне, то их место на бабушкиных дверях!

@@GertGybels Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I like rustic things, I am not too fond of very modern things, I find them cold, and I don't like very ornate styles... I must say that I am not too fond of material, like denim, on furniture because it is only the second time I see that... But I am not from their country. I've not lived withe such style all my life.

That is one seriously tricked out desk !!! I would not have thought that all the different things would work together - but they do and they look absolutely fantastic !. The metal squares design is so mesmerising, I could spend hours just looking at it. Once again your design has turned out to be something really special, not like anything else I have ever seen before - not on KZhead, not in show rooms, not even in IKEA !!! You remind me of my 70 year old brother that is a metal, wood, fiberglass, and sewing master. Too bad he never has time to make anything for his sister, me. Absolutely beautiful table top. I have beena metal worker for 25 years and never once ever thought to use some aluminum square tube stock in such a way. I am no wood worker far from it. I would love to make a coffee table for my living room just like your desk top. Sanding those little squares I know took hours. I loved the beard shot very funny. Glad you got a power sander. I may attempt this desk top soon. Thanks for posting it.

@Mama C It depends also on the type of fabric. I'm a woodworker too and i can say, my tv cabinet that i made looks better then the curtains i made for my sons room. 😏

@@andyslater8064 I loved the project, but I was thinking a small metal bandsaw and cement mixer with sand in it would have sped up the cutting and de-burring.
I'm astoundingly amazed at how creative you are with your craft. Just when I'd seen everything possible with epoxy, you've gone right ahead and proved otherwise. And to top it off, the jeans cladding? I take my hats off to you. 🙌👏,keep doing what you do.

Just wanted to say thank you for creating your channel and for showing such great workmanship - I find it amazing to see the detail and exactness that you show with everything you make and it certainly has got my mind on overtime. We own a small pub in the UK and we're going to be refurbishing the bar. I have some ideas for the bar top having seen some of your work and work of others. Now I have to convince my husband!
