Ive watched this entire series from here in the UK and the weekly updates have become a much anticipated part of my week. For all that I can still hardly find the words to express how impressed I am with this magnificent restoration effort - all thanks to a great bunch of lads who are a credit to themseves, their museum and indeed their country. Well done!
You just said exactly what I wanted to say ......thanks to all at Aus Armour
These three guys (Daryl, Jesse and Ryan) need their own show called Aussie Tank Restoration and each season they fully restore a new tank. Some of the best content on KZhead.
Me too. highlight of the week for a Pommie living in Germany. Well done lads. awesome Job
Well put, good on all the blokes at Aus Armour!
Ditto from 🇨🇦 😊
It's so nice to see the result of so many months of work. I can't wait for whatever you guys start working on next. To everyone who worked on this vehicle: great job; it turned out excellent!
Well said
My wife and I both retire in 2025, we plan a long trip from the UK to Australia and New Zealand, a visit to Ausarmour is at the very top of my wish list for our trip, can't wait! Meanwhile keep up the fantastic work
What a wonderful series of videos! Thanks to the whole team for putting in the work. Special thanks to the Parker family for preserving history and donating a part of their collection!
Why is there no comments in this? W bro

I swear seeing her going around the track like that, my grin was as big as everyone else's. Great work! It's great to see an old piece of armor brought back to life like that!
Excellent! I’ve followed this project along and the amount of time and effort put into this restoration is amazing.
My Father In Law was horse-mounted Cavalry when the war started. His first transition was into the Grant. We have a picture of him on the gun line at Fort Knox our son was able to recreate with M1 Abrams over half a century later. I wish my Father In Law could see the great work you did on this restoration. He would have loved it! Thank you for all your hard work and skill in bringing this beast to life.
I'm from Brazilian Army, mechanic retired, and we have some Grants as Historic Pieces, but i think none is alive, just parked at some squares. I liked so much to watch this serie, and I know the pleasure with this kind of job. My congrats to Daryl, Jesse and all the team. Fantastic work to give life again to this vehicle. You did it, very well
Eles colocam fogo e depois jogam água para tirar parafusos emperrados..um absurdo...acaba com o aço das peças...esses mecanismos australianos são amadores
Absolute hat-tip to Daryl, Beau and Jesse for an amazing job! I learned so much from you guys and Jason about what goes into a piece of work like that… and gained a new appreciation for the men who crewed them.
She may not be the youngest Lady at the ball, but she will still and for sure turn some heads!! Well done gentlemen, well done. My hats off to you blokes, what a crew you’ve got in the museum. I cant wait to get up every Wednesday morning and see Workshop Wednesday to she what kind of shananagins your all up to . Watching the crew of artisans put their talents to use restoring pieces of history for everyone to see is a sight to behold, thanks guys.
Indeed
All the hard work leads to this moment and what a sight she is .. well done boys your craftsmanship is world class ❤
That was a wonderful restoration, and the Grant is a credit to the entire team of restorers. Well done! And thanks for bringing us along on a great video journey as well.
I love the way you present the restoration project. This one is so involving for me as the just observer from the other side of the globe. Excellent job!
That's a great job, guys. This series you do really helps a Old retired maintenance man halfway through his week.!
Your upload schedule with Workshop Wednesday fits perfectly knto my lunch break. Cheers from Sweden!
Congratulations, the Grant looks and runs amazing! Always wonderful to see people taking such care to preserve history, but also doing it with a real Aussie sense of fun.
Finally you made it! It looks absolutely brilliant and I'm sad because of I cannot see it in real. Congratulation to all crew for this beautifully restored vehicle. I'm looking forward to see the STUG restore to finish.
These videos are simple excellence. And each and every view brings smiles on smiles to form utter joy. These men are admirable for their skills, dedication, and, yes, endearingly wry Aussie humor. Kudos. Thank yous. - New Hampshire, USA
Excellent work from all involved. And sincere thanks from a retired US Veteran. 😀
Incredible workmanship, kudos to all who worked on this tank and thanks for the video's, Wednesdays wouldn't be the same without them, thank you.
You blokes have done a wonderful job of restoring the Grant Tank. As a tank porn nerd, what another beauty from the A A & A Museum! Would you consider doing a follow up live Q&A?
One word to describe your work: AWESOME! thank you.
Hello from Canada, I have watched the entire series from the beginning. It has given me a new appreciation for US industrial might and standardisation. I also have a new appreciation and respect for the M3 Grant. It is obviously a transitional tank between the early attempts in WWI to the mighty beasts of WWII, but it is much more nimble than I ever thought just from looking at pictures and diagrams. I would certainly have preferred a Grant to not having tank support at all. In the Pacific campaign, where the Japanese only had very small light tanks, the Grant would have been a formidable opponent. Even in the desert campaign, the British appreciated the excellent engineering and serviceability of the Grants. They did their job, and now this one can take its place of honour. Well done to Daryl and Jesse and all those who helped out along the way. A special thanks to Kurt. The quality of the videos and narration really showcase all this hard work to the viewers.
Great Stuff Guys, Preserving our History so important.
I too have watched every episode and will continue to watch all the restorations in the future. It’s a big part of my Wednesday morning as always, the whole crew has done a remarkable job to save this great piece of history Humphrey, Bogart, and Lulabelle would approve ❤
My favorite thing about the Grant is you can see where the Sherman variants were coming from. It also tells the history of its development throughout its design. A decent stopgap tank in a desperate time. It wasn't the greatest tank but it was where it needed to be while it was around. Its often the beginning and end of a story people remember when the middle is just as important.
Congratulations to all involved in the resto and to Kurt for videoing everything. These vehicles need to be restored, they are part of history and you guys are keeping history alive. I've watched every episode of every resto and can't wait for more, I just wish I had the means (££'s)to visit and see these beauties in the flesh. Keep up the great work
What a fantastic job you guys have done. Better than new. Bringing these engineering marvels back to life is fantastic to watch. Thank you for including us in your journey. Can't wait for see the next project.
Great job guys, my uncle was in the 2/2 army field workshop in 7th Div and worked on all sorts of stuff the 7th Div had., I´ve always loved the Grant.
je regarde votre série de France avec un énorme plaisir, continuez continuez s'il vous plait, ne vous arrêtez pas, vous êtes une équipe formidable.
What a beautiful piece of art you've made! I think this is one of the best jobs to work on. Especially when you can ride this beast. Boys gets older and so the toys gets bigger😊
It would be interesting to see how fast the turret rotates and how far the gun swings. 👍👍👍
I couldn't stop smiling and laughing during this video, like a kid at X-mas. WOW, just WOW !!! From the US industry workers who made her to the Digger lads who crewed her, you've done them all proud with this job, you guys are amazing.
imagine just being a visitor and then you see this bad boy roll in. so cool
It happens quite rarely, but 17:15 got a chuckle out of me. This is the best channel on yt I've come across in a while and following these projects (almost) live is a privilege. Thank you all so much for sharing these and I can't wait for the next Wednesday!
What an amzaing project, well done to the team, great work.
Final fit-out and finishing touches, my favourite part of a resto. All the sweat, dirt and smoke is behind you, the day's work is relatively cruzy, and you get to finally see all those smaller details you've spent so much time on, coming together. Great work.
Thank you for saving such a unique stepping stone in US track vehicle development. Great job guys.
What a fantastic journey. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Well done to Daryl, Jesse and Ryan. Thank you 👌👍.
Very cool - well done guys! So pleased to see the Grant running and operating! Congrats from Canada.
🇺🇸 respecting and admiring our 🇦🇺 friends.
Watching from Iowa, US. Great job on the restoration. Always liked the history and use of this tank esp. in the desert war. Man, that tank is tall.
Congratulations to the whole team. I've followed this restoration religiously and it's amazing to see what you've been able to do. Thank you as well for sharing the process with us! No doubt in the future your restoration videos will be used as historical reference! I look forward to your next project with bated breath!
Absolutely awesome! Well done to all involved in the restoration of this tank. 10 out of 10.
As an American Ret USAF member I am very happy to see this project completed and the attention to detail y'all had. I have followed this from the beginning and loved ever minute of your work. It is fantastic to see military equipment restored and put on display for other to see and learn the price of freedom.
Amazing job guys. I think it's so cool that you had visitors in the museum when you brought it in. Here in the states I can't get down 3 aisles at Home Depot because of a forklift. lol This is my absolute favorite youtube channel. Great work, be proud of yourselves, then on to the next one.
Congratulations guys, great job. Looking forward to the next projects. Greetings from Poland.
Nunca pensei que aquela sucata ficasse assim, fantástico, adorei todos os episódios, parabéns a equipa. Congratulations from Portugal
Fabulous job guys, you should be very proud of what you have done with this old lady. She's a credit to the whole team.
Was a pleasure to help work on this thing. Too bad I can't go to AusArmourfest this year to see it but I'll be back one day.
I reckon I have watched about 90% of this restoration and I can honestly say that I have loved every single episode. What absolute professionals Jesse and Darryl are. They're not just mechanics or metal workers, these men a historical artisans. And lets not forget "Kurt from Aus Armour". This hard working legend has brought all of this to light for all of us to enjoy. A great hire! Well done everyone. 👏👏🥰
Wow looks amazing finished. Great job to everyone involved.
Thank you Tank team! You have granted us viewers many great views of your fine work. 👌
"granted" Love it! 🙂
Great Job Guys. Getting it rolling again is a testament to the M3's durability. Real living history.
Daryl deserved AT LEAST a $20 discount on the joyride! Congrats to the whole team for their efforts on this project.
congratulations on a great restoration and an entertaining series to watch
Beautiful work. Another informative and entertaining tank restoration. I love seeing these historical vehicles brought back to life. Well done.
Great to see this old girl running again a testament to the hard work and skill that went into the restoration.
Thanks for letting us tag along on the journey! ❤
What a wonderful culmination to this project. Congratulations to the whole team on bringing this iconic vehicle back to life.
Good morning from Virginia! Another amazing restoration project, alive and running!! The old girl looks fantastic!!!
May I say how much this 89n year old POM enjoy your programmes. Keep up the good work.
What a great job by all concerned. It's wonderful to see a piece of history up and running again.
Fantastic work. Was there last week so just missed the finished product. Would have been nice to see it live.
Nice work Gentleman!
Amazing work on that rare piece of history, so much patience and expertise was needed ! Congrats from Belgium :)
it's like giving old grampa breath a new life. kudos to the museum for restoration
Top number job you lads. Truly an amazing restoration. 🇦🇺 🇬🇧
Always amazed by the quality of work these guys do! Turns out awesome every time! 🤩🤩🤩
Fabulous attention to detail- which is also very time-consuming but really makes this such an outstanding end to a superb restoration!
Awesome Job! I've never seen a Grant look so good. This was a quite reasonable design going in. I think they were expecting the 37mm 2# to be adequate to the main task, at least in the interim. Unfortunately, the Germans were upgrading their guns and armor a little more rapidly than we were keeping up with. This and the M4 were mighty on the battlefield when they arrived in Africa, but the Germans were able to adapt quite adequately.
Would love to see main gun ammo on display too. Awesome resto Guys, happily followed All yr videos from the get go! You can justifiably be proud of this one(and it's brothers hopefully)
Your mechanical magicians have done it again! Outstanding! The best part? You guys get to drive it!
Kurt, I'm looking forward to the one-hour special that shows the complete restoration in short form.!😊 most especially the finding of the floorboards
Nice work guys. I always watch the video of your restoration on wednesday, love it. Greets from The Netherlands 👍
Finally! Will you start working on a second Grant now ? :D
They'll probably get going on the StuG III.
Piece of art!!!! All the best from Poland :) Thank You!
You guys are so lucky. If I was able, I'd hang out there all day every day until you put me to work just to stop me drooling on all the awesome machines.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this wonderful job of restoring this iconic tank. We have a few of them in museums here in Brazil, but none are operational. I followed this restoration from the beginning and was very moved in this last episode. I had a friend who bought a series of M3 light tanks and restored some. I had the pleasure and privilege of also accompanying the restorations and being able to take a walk when they were ready. Congratulations to all of this fantastic team and the museum staff. Congrats from Brazil.
I have followed the other restoration projects and I have to say the grant restoration project had to grow on me for a bit. But in the end it was one of the most enjoyable restorations to watch. Putting on the unit markers was so satisfying to watch. I am looking forward to the next project!
Thanks for filming the restoration from A to Z. It will be a great DVD for people to buy in your gift shop and give people an idea just how had bringing one of these vehicles back to life.
It always fills me with a sense of great national pride when I see the remnants of the Arsenal of Democracy around the world, and you fellas down under really did a brilliant job restoring this tank. that's one thing that the rest of the world does better than we do here in the US... you fellas take care of your toys. there isn't a museum in the US that could or would do such a restoration, but there are a few private collectors whom could.
Greetings from the USA! Thanks for restoring one of our tanks so well! And thanks to all of Australia for standing up with us as such a great Ally to this day! Good on ya!
Absolutely brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed this journey from wreck to runner 😊
Welcome back to the land of the living old girl, glad to see you back in one piece. You Aussies take good care of her now, we Americans want to see our veterans cared for, treated well, and given the respect they deserve, whether they have skin of flesh or hide of steel.
You Aussies should be damn proud of this project. You have preserved a piece of history that otherwise would have rusted away and lost. Job well done!
What a fantastic restoration lads! So much hard work and effort has brought back a significant piece of history back to life! What an accomplishment.. Glad I ran into this series.. watched from Missouri USA!
Simply superb, great job lads! I've really enjoyed following the progress and can't wait for the next one!
You all are doing an amazing job of saving our military history and keeping alive the memory of all who have served past and present ANZAC's. You are a national treasures and should be treated that way. Thankyou!
We are from USA me and my mother been watching this from day one so nice see it running again good work Australian Armor 👍
Job well done gentleman! This show has become a part of my week i look forward to. It's right up there with the Curse Of Oak Island and The Secret Of Skinwalker Ranch! I'll assume the Stug is on deck to be finished...and maybe a drivetrain might magically appear for a certain Tiger 1?
SO cool i'm glad you all did a bang up job. well done guys
Great to see someone keeping these old tanks rolling!
I love listening to tracked vehicles running! Happy memories from childhood around dozers and other farm equipment. Thank you for all of the amazing work you continue to do. I understand some people not liking war, but it is part of human history (and human nature). If you try to deny the past and not learn from it you are more apt to repeat it.
Gratulacje, wspaniała robota.
Congratulations boys, that is an outstanding job. You should all be very proud 👍🏻🇦🇺
Tis both a sadness and a joy attached to any long journeys end. Good on you AusArmour. She is a stunner, job well done.
Adding the 'local configuration' (Aussie grenade mesh) was a great idea. Fantastic job to all involved.
Qué trabajo más increíble que han hecho los muchachos. Qué maravilla. Amo el trabajo que hacen, el cariño que le ponen, el compromiso con la historia. Los admiro profundamente!
